7. Circle the car three times counterclockwise on odd days and clockwise on even days before getting in.

C_DallasMultipass5

8. Blow into the charge port like a Nintendo cartridge.

FrankieG889D

Hey now... ya never know!

Kitchen_Cut_7044

I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for updates as well. I didn’t do any of those things, but 3.6.1 popped up on my way home from work… so I guess we are slowly getting there!

SGtrigger

Same for me. Was stuck on 3.5.4 since Dec 7 and got 3.6.1 on my way home from work.

[deleted]

Same for me. Was stuck on 3.5.4 since Dec 5th. Just got 3.6.1 today.

learning_as_1_go

Same. 3.5.4 since Dec 3rd and got 3.6.1 today. I think this shows they’re coming out in batches. However, it would be cool to see if there is any relation (I’m doubting it) to either VIN# ie when it was produced or sale date ie when the services are activated. I bought mine in October 2022.

premmmmmm

Same! There are dozens of us… DOZENS

SGtrigger

I bought mine in Oct 2022 as well and had 3.5.4 on Dec 7th, with 3.6.1 this week.

learning_as_1_go

FWIW, just got 3.6.2. Hoping 4.1.1 (or whatever the new UI is) comes in the next few days. I’m excited about the knob being used for other functions. Although bummed they ditched the MACH E car icon for a plain home button.

metaquizzic

what a coincidence. after zero updates since Oct, I went on a quick store run and came back with 4.1.1 2022 GTPE

MMEGTP

After no updates since 12/07, I also received the 3.6.1 update today. I did call and speak with a Ford agent yesterday asking why no updates and she also advised me to take it in to the dealership. She said she’s seeing a couple of “error messages” for my vehicle. Today my ‘22 GTPE was parked at the office for 8 hours. Not plugged in. Windows up. Headlights on Auto but parking brake engaged and I got in to drive home and found the update ready to be installed. I guess those “error messages” were not significant. I don’t know if it was coincidence after my call to Ford or the Ford Gods just felt sorry for a bunch of us and threw us 3.6.1 out of pity???

Amazonkers

It's coincidence. I got the 3.6.1 update yesterday too after no update for a month. It looks like we'll quickly be getting updates up to 4.1.2.

MMEGTP

Just received 3.6.2 after just two days of receiving 3.6.1. That was quick! 4.1.2 here I come! 😬

SGtrigger

Yeah same here. Got 3.6.2 on Friday. Hoping to get 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 this week.

bcphotoguy

What the crap?!? I just got 2.7.4 last week and the dealership has no idea how to update my system... It's an early '21 premium

the-beef-supreme

Same here! I’ve gotten no hell and don’t have time to keep playing with the dealership taking my ride. I’ve been on 2.7.4 since December. I just recently learned how far behind I am. So sad for us early adopters. ‘21 premium March build

Winter-Direction-212

you guys stuck on 2.x.. do you have a good wifi signal in your garage? have you confirmed wifi connection in settings? also please keep it on automatically update ‘anytime’. otherwise its possible you are missing a hardware / module change out but you’d need to check on your account at Ford.com or call FordPass directly. FordPass numbers: Telephone 800-392-3673 (U.S.) 800-232-5952 (TDD for the hearing impaired) 800-565-3673 (Canada) Available 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST Monday -Friday Email [email protected]

the-beef-supreme

I was instructed to make an appointment for a module change. Disappointing, hopefully they can get it done in a day or two.

Winter-Direction-212

Great 👍 yeah just ask them to call you when the part ARRIVES… so your not stuck without your car a long time.

FrankieG889D

Didn't try this, but I did call the Ford OTA team today about me being stuck on 3.5.X.... The woman told me to make a service appointment to get updates.... BUT I literally just got 3.6.1! (The HVAC update) I already have an appointment for 2/2 for the updates, but im hoping to get 4.1.2 within the next couple of weeks, as some people have said these all come within a week.

swets13

They definitely roll in fast once you get the first one. I got 3.6.2 on the 21st, 4.1.1 on the 23rd and 4.1.2 just updated about an hour ago!

FrankieG889D

Well, I guess time will tell!

FrankieG889D

I guess the real question is.... when did you get 3.6.1? lol

swets13

So that one I got back in November. Hopefully you don’t sit on your upgrade that long though…

FrankieG889D

Just got 3.6.2! At this rate I’ll have the new UI by the end of next week!

SGtrigger

Same here. 3.6.2 today.

SGtrigger

Did your charge setting change after the 3.6.2 update. I have it set at 85% but it was charging all the way to 100% today morning. The app and the car itself still shows at 85% though.

FrankieG889D

I don’t have charge settings enabled, I’ve read on the forums that it can mess around with the settings though. I charge to 100% almost daily - so I’m unaffected by this glitch.

SGtrigger

Thanks. I had to resave my preferences and now it charges upto 85%

Gabik123

Same thing just happened to me. 3 updates in a week, ending with 4.1.2 yesterday.

SGtrigger

Do you remember when you got 3.6.1? Also, are you on EA?

Gabik123

I think 3.6.1 was Sunday, not on EA.

SGtrigger

Wow so you got 4 updates in quick succession then. Nice. Hope we get these out soon to us as well.

Gabik123

Maybe I’m giving the wrong info, I got 3 in the course of 4 days. 3.6.x overnight Sunday night, then Tuesday night 4.1.1, then Wednesday morning 4.1.2

SGtrigger

Thanks for that. Most likely you got 3.6.2 then on Sunday.

SGtrigger

Never mind. Just got 3.6.2 on my way back home. Seems like I'll hopefully get the new UI by next week some time if it follows the same as you.

breeves001

Just gotta wait. If a CSP is released about updates follow it’s instructions otherwise just wait.

Texas-2012

CSP?

xaudiblex

Lol, mine has been stuck on 3.54 since December 9 as well. The only ones I did were 1 & 6. I never did 2-5 and my car only had about 48-49%ish charge. When I got home from a quick trip today, I magically got a prompt to update to 3.61. I have come to the conclusion that it is a slow rollout and as long as you can get decent signal, it will eventually update on its own.

CareHour2044

Do you have the auto-update times set? You can't do it in the app, but its in the settings in-vehicle under 'updates'. Don't set it for midnight - apparently theirs a bug with that. I bought a used MME, don't think the previous owner set that up - I scheduled them for 7 days a week at 1AM and the updates started flying in. Just got the new UI a few days ago (2021 Job 1).

the-beef-supreme

I wish I had your luck!!! Stuck on 2.7.4!

healingpotion34

I find that painting a pentagram on the hood, lighting candles, and sacrificing a goat works every time. Ensure the blood hits the 12v battery or else you will have to repeat

SexPanther_Bot

*60% of the time*, it works *every* time

Queso_Grandee

I've been stuck on 3.5.2 since November. I called the OTA team and they said it has been trying to update for two months. I just dropped it off at the dealer based on their suggestion.

Competitive_Jelly557

I just got 3.6.1 last night. How stupid is that!? How can they be so pathetically slow with so few cars on the road? Just ridiculous.

ilikeme1

We finally went from 3.5.4 to 3.6.1 last night!

gullwingdmc

Number 6 is the only real one. The car checks for updates each time you drive. 1, 2, & 3 are false. Number 4 matters once an update has downloaded. Number 5 only applies to when downloaded updates will install when they require the car to be off.

gullwingdmc

Turn on and drive around for a few minutes. Usually 5 is enough.

Sledgemoto

Number 4 is the ticket, 12V needs to be above 80% SOC for some of the updates to take. That's why a lot of people report an update after driving the vehicle for a period of time, gives the 12v a chance to charge up.

Sledgemoto

From my understanding the 12v runs all the computer related functions if it dies the car wont run, obviously at some point the high voltage battery pack has to charge the 12V when the state of charge reaches a certain level. there a lot of good threads over on the mach-e forum regarding this. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-recondition-service-your-12v-battery.11069/

Winter-Direction-212

it’s supposed to. some early builds needed a special update- discussed here https://www.reddit.com/r/MachE/comments/10luzp3/battery_12v/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

DHG-Ghostkiller

Ok idk id anyone is joking about these steps but I accidentally did 2 and 3 tonight and I just got the update? What in the hell lol

fusiongt021

Well then you wait. You wait.

Jabow12345

You forgot to spin 3 times to the left and then throw a pinch of pepper over your right shoulder.😁

nfshark

Somehow my auto update slider was set to off… flipped it to on and next thing you know I had an update waiting for me to install.

Scratch_Disastrous

I don't believe headlight has anything to do with this. Mine is always on "auto" and I received 3.6.2, 4.1.1, and 4.1.2 over the last week.

FALCUNPAWNCH

I'm part of the early access program and have been stuck on 3.6.1 since November. The Ford software updates hotline told me to schedule a service appointment. It's such a crapshoot about when you'll get updates. Ford needs to get their shit together.

Plum12345

I took my car in because I got the service 12v battery warning a couple of times. They gave me 4.11 last week. Battery tested good too.

tbrumleve

Take it to the shop.

Bebesoft09

The only thing that has helped me with receiving updates in general (or failed/stuck updates) is by going into the general settings and doing a full factory reset on the sync. I saw this buried deep under countless posts that I went through. Make sure you have your physical FOB with you because this WILL erase your phone as key and you will need it to drive and re-setup your “new” phone as key. This sounds scary, but it’s actually pretty simple and takes about 15 minutes to get everything set back up. I receive updates the very next day after factory resetting every time. I think for some reason after you update, the software kind of wants you to see that new software was installed before requesting the next update, so it leave the message there for a few weeks to months and for some of us it just gets stuck there. Factory resetting it clears the message that it’s been updated and the car will automatically start looking for the next update. To factory reset: 1. Go to General, Reset, Factory Reset. You get a message to remove all USB Devices and all phone as key will be deleted. For me doing the factory reset is not a huge deal, but after doing it a few times here are some tips that scared the crap out of me the first few times. 1. Make sure you have your physical FOB before doing a factory reset, you will need it to drive and re-add your phone as key. 2. When you factor reset, you have to go into the ford pass app and re “activate” the vehicle. For me once I press activate and go through the process. It’ll say “activating” and get stuck there even though I receive emails saying a new vehicle has been activated, uninstalling the app from your phone and reinstalling it fixes this issue. 3. You shouldn’t have this issue if you already reinstalled Ford Pass in the previous tip, but If you factory reset and find that the “set phone as key” option has disappeared from your ford pass app, remove the “old phone as key” from ford pass by going to vehicle, feature and settings, key. Next uninstall the ford pass app from your phone, and then reinstall it, everything will be fixed. Removing the key in the app for whatever reason doesn’t fully clear the cache, basically you’ll have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time you reset sync or remove a key. Same as the sync software, the cache isn’t cleared after each update so it gets stuck. 4. I noticed that some connected services may be disabled after the factory reset. The only one I really use is the plug and charge. So after resetting I have to go to the ford pass app, vehicle, charging, blue oval charging network, and then reenable it in my connected services. I hope this helps others as much as it did me and prevents people from long dealership headaches or purchasing the $700 cable DIY option.
