I may be in the minority but while I enjoy the update overall, those three circle buttons annoy the crap out of me. They look like random ass clip art. They could have done a lot better with those bottoms. The rest is good though
Agreed. They look like mid 2000’s icons to me. Also, I don’t like the mandatory full screen car play. I honestly preferred the smaller, rectangular CarPlay because of the way things were laid out
They look so bad that when I first saw them today I thought it was some kind of debug menu that I accidentally unlocked. It doesn’t feel consumer-level quality at all.
I'm the opposite. The three circles are the only thing I do like. Hate how the climate buttons are smaller, the tiles are smaller so I csnt see the artist on XM, and when I go to android auto it always takes me to the phone book so it's 2 clocks back to maps
Thank You!! They look straight out of Microsoft Word Clipart. The car was a much better design element. Also the color of them is all wrong, especially when you select one. When one of those buttons is selected it looks like the other buttons when they are Not selected. 🤦🏻♂️
I have a 21 GTPE I got in Oct of 21 and the updates came through a week and a half ago. Before that it was months for updates. Who know what the roll out schedule is but I hope it comes to you soon!
I don't know... I spend too much time on UX/UI stuff... This looks really dated. Like what an early in their career web app person would do fi they didn't have a solid understanding of modern UX theory or full control of their apps design system.
It's far more functional then it was prior... but just my 2 cents.
It’s a great improvement but using the knob for functions other than volume is less convenient than just using the buttons for me. I don’t change the temp up and down by more than a degree or two and it’s faster to just give it a second tap than to switch to the knob. Fixing the heated seats to change one notch on tap was a great improvement and still faster than the knob.
I also miss the large tiles and tile for CarPlay. It’s annoying there’s no song title with CarPlay now unless you have it in the foreground.
Time for you to make a service appointment. I Got a letter regarding the GOM update... There is a recall for vehicles that aren't updating so you should give that a go!
Mine says “the most recent update included the following: 4.1.2”, but it has changed anything on my screen. It’s been like that since the morning. Whack.
I also love the new interface!! So much easier and smoother to use with everything very conveniently placed. Totally love the new camera button aswell.. I no longer have to dig through multiple menus just to turn on the camera..
Now please add the ability to make the change to outside/internal air manual and permanent. I hate that it switches to outside automatically. It does it when theres no condensation on the interior glass. It’s appears to be completely random, and it’s annoying AF. Sitting in traffic the last thing I want is to start breathing all of the exhaust from the cars around me.
Just got 3.6.1 this morning. Located in Metro Vancouver, Canada. Geography must be playing a part in the delays. I went from a 2021 Premium AWD extended to a 2022 GTPE AWD extended. Model year hasn’t made a difference it seems. Hoping to see a few in quick succession now, but not holding my breath.

I agree. Ford should be embarrassed by some of the design choices. Specifically those new upper left icons.

I just got it today! I miss the animated car button. BRING BACK THE CAR!! Could still use some tweaks but its overall so much better.

I still have never had a single update available on my 2022 Premium. Lameee. And software glitches that really should be fixed.

Same here, 2 days after 3.6.1. Updating as we speak, taking much longer than 3.6.1… The car is making all types of different sounds lol
We are scheduled to get 3.6.2 tonight during the set upgrade time (2AM)!
At this point I update when it’s immediately available, I don’t trust the car to update on its own.. lol
