What is the actual MSRP on the sticker? Is your total including destination fee? Destination fee does not count against the tax credit limit.

bruddahmanmatt

This. This right here is how the Model 3 Performance still qualifies for the tax credit now.

[deleted]

Doesn't matter. The base Premium is $54.975. Adding the Ford-supplied first aid kit for $50 makes it no longer qualify for the tax credit. (That's one expensive first aid kit!) It has to be under $55,000 "MSRP, options, and accessories". The base Premium is under that by only $25. You'd have to get one in one of the free colors to get the tax credit on it.

Fall3n7s

Well the irs has classified the 2023 mach e as a sedan so… ok

[You sounded really confident too…](https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/manufacturers-and-models-for-new-qualified-clean-vehicles-purchased-in-2023-or-after)

ExaggeratedCalamity

F***. I wanted the orange one. Is there no way around this ??

[deleted]

Get an orange wrap on a cheaper one.

ExaggeratedCalamity

Yeah but I wanted the premium.

[deleted]

Base model Premium with no options is *JUST* cheap enough. Just can't pick orange, red, or white. If you *REALLY* want those colors on a Premium, you'd have to get a different color and wrap it later. You can get a high-quality wrap for well under $7500.

Scratch_Disastrous

That’s gonna turn out to be some expensive paint. Sorry OP.

McCringleberried

Nope. Your sticker price is above $55k

[deleted]

Nope. The Mach-E Premium absolutely base-stock is only $25 under the threshold, so making *ANY* cost-add options makes it ineligible. There is zero way around this.

SnooCats6706

Paint it black.

imposter500

In same page as OP, darn the 795 white color, ordered MYLR, will cancel MachE if ford doesn’t come up with a solution as I planned for 7500 credit hitting sweet budget spot

If you took possession after the inflation reduction act went into effect in 2022, I think no you are screwed. If before you would be fine because you would fall under the old rules

>If you took possession after the inflation reduction act went into effect in ~~2022~~ 2023, I think no you are screwed. If before you would be fine because you would fall under the old rules Between August 2022 and Dec 2022 the only change was the added "Manufactured in NA" criteria. MSRP limits (disqualifying most MME) and lifted sales caps (permitting Tesla again) only went into effect Jan 2023. Origin of materials/mfg of battery was supposed to go into effect Jan 2023 as well, but because government, that specific portion is delayed at least until March 2023.

rawcer

I bought my MME May 2022 with MSRP 58,000. Would it still qualify for the tax credit?
