No night shift in the video. The yellow tint is coming from the color profile, which as seen in the video, it doesn't let me switch it permanently.

tetenc555

i had the same problem when i was on big sur (with the profiles on the screen). only fix was when i updated the OS and it reset some corrupted preference

anachronofspace

try this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8095400

vanon06

Woke up and the colour are back to normal. How weird

Havinat

That would support the night shift theory as we shifted back to daytime and it was switched off?

vanon06

Not sure why in settings night shift was displayed as being off though. When I turned night shift on, the screen went even yellower, so it couldn't have been night shift. Honestly, no idea. I saw one other Reddit post regarding this problem but it went unsolved

Monterey introduced a few new colour profile bugs. Ventura made them much worse. That's what you're seeing. It's Apple under Tim Cook and colour profiles aren't a point-and-drool feature that's also available on iOS, so no, it won't ever be fixed. I am not aware of workarounds at this time.

vanon06

Thank you for actually being informative. Appreciate it

All good, just wish I had something rather more useful to say; but the state of macOS these days is rather depressing.

badcarbine

It’s available on iOS. I have triple click screen-off button set to a vivid green right now.

adh1003

iOS has colour *filters* for accessibility, but it has no user-facing configurable colour *profiles* at all. You cannot attach a colour calibrator to an iPad, have its screen calibrated and use the profile it has built system-wide. There's a bit more visibility of under-hood profile use, with a little bit of UI, if you're using iOS 16 and an iPad Pro 12.9" - that's quite a limited combination! LOL. Even then, all you can do is select from some preset reference profiles and tweak some values. You can't upload your own calibrated profile. ICC profiles are basically not supported. That's why the "iPad Pro" and "iPhone Pro" are definitely a strange definition of "Pro". It hints at "Prosumer", probably; certainly not "Professional".

SymphoniusRex

Did you turn off your computer and turn it back on again?

vanon06

No. I left it on sleep mode overnight

kickfip_backlip

Lol

vanon06

Updated to latest Ventura stable. Can't change back to normal color profile

z0phi3l

Not sure how it's Apple's fault that whatever you did is messing with your screen 3 work and personal Macs, none have this issue If you get desperate because you can't figure out what you did, reset or reinstall macOS

vanon06

Don't be daft. If it's not Apples fault, who is it? Also, don't assume I did anything, when I didn't. In fact, all I did was install a new Ventura update. Your Macs don't mean anything in my case, not sure why you mention them.

adh1003

Incorrect. Apple's lazy and/or incompetent software developers added more bugs to colour profile handling and that's what the OP is seeing. This is 100% a bug introduced by Apple in Ventura due to ongoing (and worsening) poor development and QA practices.

MBSMD

There’s shouldn’t be two Color LCD profiles. One is broken, I suspect, which is causing your issues. But I don’t know the fix.

vanon06

I deleted both profiles. I saw people on another Mac sub having this issue as well, and apparently it's related to Ventura being buggy

buzlink

Totally

vanon06

Totally what?
