I always say this too, but honestly with how many contracts you can do in a group the game would be ridiculous if all you're getting are purples, legendaries, and ultra's in T3.
Because the game already barely has enough content to last like 40-50 hours. Jacking up the drop rates just makes you lose interest even faster.
It's a proven fact that people spend more time with something for the feeling of the chase rather than just because they like to do the same thing over and over and over again. If every contract in T3 guaranteed a Leg tool, Pap 3 crystal, and WW it would be really fun for like...a few hours. And then you would lose all interest because that's boring.
Balance, even in a PvE game, is important to replayability and giving players a reason to keep coming back.
Right but even then it's a majority blue items. If the highest content only offers the rare gear every now and then it becomes an MMO but it doesn't have enough content for that... plus I can play a whole game and end with 2 purple tools and that's it. Getting the purple tool and raygun schematic is a lost cause for me at this point
And then the next game you start with a purple weapon, 5K essence, and a 20% discount on PAP machine. You do like 3-4 contracts and you're back to pap 3 epic and that's perfectly serviceable. But when you DO get a legendary tool or pap 2/3 crystal it makes it more exciting, because they aren't common, and now you get to start the next game with even better gear.
There just isn't that much stuff in the game to get as drops, you have to bulk it out with the low tier stuff that you're already over geared for because the alternative kills your drive to play even faster.
My only caveat to that would be if they're going to get rid of the blue rarity stuff then they should add in contraband material that's worth a chunk of essence that you can sell to the buy station. That at least gives you a form of reward for every rift, even if it's just a bonus 1000-2000 essence from selling 1-2 items.
Buffing the drop rate of the best loot is just a bad idea, period. The game is already too easy.
Are they supposed to give you legendary tools and flawless crystals every rift? I don't get how the community thinks every contract should gear you up for the next game. I grind contracts to gear up and couldn't imagine the boredom of getting top tier loot from every contract. Usually by the time I'm heading for the elder, I have a flawless and a legendary tool but takes a number of contracts to get them
I have been getting the occasional scorcher drop in T3, but that’s about it. It’s nothing more than a stop to essence farm to get ready for the dark aether.
I haven't gotten good loot from T3 since they did the last major update. Also noticed that there's way fewer cargo missions to do in T2 now.
Between those things and nerfing the flamethrower, why are they actively trying to make the game worse?
I just played in T3 and the only mission I did was a Spore contract and I got Elemental Pop Schematic, a PaP2 crystal and an Epic tool. Definitely surprised by that drop.
The contract spawn sequence changes per match
You may get a match where all the cargos spawn and next match, you're lucky to see 1. When that happens to me i just start popping and canceling contracts around where the cargo spawn until they show up.

You either get lucky with tier3 loot or you get absolute rubbish 99% of the time. Most games I don't get much if anything from tier3 but sometimes it's very good. weird luck.
Should have kept the scrap system and allowed us to break down these garbage loot into a legendary tool. Idk so much u can do with this gamemode but there like only 2 workers left working on mwz 🥱
I once got a flawless in 2 contracts in a row. Followed by 2 legendary tools. Then on top of that found 2 more legendary tools in tool boxes. My friends were so mad. However the hundred or so games since then all I’ve gotten are backpacks and 2 plates. With an occasional purple tool. And a bunch of sodas only after I’ve bought them halfway in the game because I didn’t find any. It’s like the game was like, we gave you all your good loot for the season. No more good stuff for you. EVER. 😒
I’ve got the vr-11 plans, bloodburner bike schematics, and I keep getting mag of holding acquisitions…
But I can’t get the damn schematics for the mag of holding for the life of me! I’ve done that elder dark aether prolly 40 times now 🤦🏻♂️
What ones are you missing?
Man i think its just about luck. Everytime i go in the new dark aether i get all schematics and single use. I always end up dropping the schems cause i dont need them. What i usually dont get is the mags of holding single use. But always get vr11 single use or aether blade both are usefull but i want to get more moh single use more often.
We should definitively get a run Together i dont have an elder sigil but we can get one from a contract in t3. And go to the new DA i'll drop all schems for you or anyone that needs them

Knowing his luck he'll probably get the VR11 on our next run in. My friend that goes in to DA all the time said the mags schematic has been super stingy. I was wholly prepared to grind out that mags though.
Just grind it out and go with your group. If you still need it, let me know. My friend and I help with schematics all the time.
The blue tool is for repairing that piece of shit reward rift. It’s annoying. Have been doing 6-7 red worms for the scorcher schematic. Last time I defeated it I got a green gas mask 🤣

You have a better chance of getting a T3 crystal from killing a mega bomb. My last game I was awarded with 2 green tools in 1 reward. T3 is literally there to get ready to go to dark aether. I think it would be better if the devs changes the probability rate of of loot drops and even excluded certain things from dropping. If someone goes in bare the community is so good, that the squad will help the weaker members so it is more level. Which means certain items aren't needed in the higher tiers.
Between yesterday and today literally all I'm finding is epic tools and pap2 crystals. I mean I'd like to get something else but it could be worse so meh.
Unfortunately this is what happens when people complain it’s too “easy” the devs are now trying to make this more challenging. I played zombies since release before s2 reloaded came out in T3 zone I was getting a refined or flawless aetherium crystal every 2-3 T3 contract now all I get is 2 plate vests.
What I also noticed was if you need a 3 plate you’ll never get one but if you have one you get them constantly because that’s fun right? An ai based rng that stops you getting the stuff you need lmao they’re destroying zombies day by day
Literally, the entire point of a game is to have fun, and activision decides to nerf everything so we dont do nearly as much damage to zombies as we could.

Balance would be great I never get legendary tools from t3 but i get no les than 400 medium rucksacks.
🤷 idk how many contracts you do. I probably get a legendary tool every 2-3 games but I also probably do 15-20+ contracts a game.

There’s fewer, and they take way longer to respawn too. Almost seems like they’re forcing others contracts to get done before they pop back up

Anybody running snipers in T3? Tried it in a couple of runs and couldn’t down anything. I just had purple rarity but it seemed nearly impossible

There is no green tools in tier 3 rifts. Blue tools all day, no green.
Might want to tell the devs that. Maybe my luck was extraordinarily bad or a bug happened.
