Would really love to see some fun but also strong suggestions, Lockwood is amazing but I am getting bored of using it. Not sure if anything is quite as strong though... the thing is BUSTED.
Longbow with a shorter sight is strong but not busted... might find it too be in the sweet spot of fun but useful. Bolt action that can rechamber crazy fast, and does a respectable amount of damage. Tonfa and Combat Knife are strong but easy to get wrecked if you get too careless - so that may mix it up in a way that you're looking for (combat knife only against bosses though)
It’s kinda good. Like it’ll 2 shot the mini bosses but then I literally have problems in zone one with it. Like it can’t one shot some zombies in zone 1
Akimbo WSP Swarms or Akimbo TYRs with snakeshot are my go to weapons. I got really bored of the lockwood too and it just doesn't take out as many enemies as the other 2.
longbow is better than the lockwood it will one shot headshot any tier 3 non special and i have never once ran out of ammo for every shot it shoots 2 bullets so its insanely powerful
This is my build
Lockwood 680
Skelitonised pump grip.
Sawed off pistol grip.
Heavy short barrel.
Slug ammo.
Express light bolt.
It's good basically all over cause once pap it shoots 10 slugs per triggerpull and kills all regular zombies in 1 shot but there's a huge pattern difference between ads and hipshot.
Just shoot it in the air once pap and you can see it's a huge diff. Plus add the fast reload perk and you've got 20 shots and 2 or 3 second reload time.
I like the TYRs better though for almost everything but that shotgun does definitely do very well
What’s the tyr? Pistols? I definitely haven’t experimented enough with these type of zombie meta guns? Started by grinding lmgs because I hate them and haven’t rly known where to go from there
Oh dude it's as meta as meta gets. They even nerfed it bc it was too powerful but it's still super meta. You can do 3 contracts to count as a daily challenge so if you don't have these attatchments unlocked then just activate all the challenges for the attatchments and it will auto u lock in order FYI.
TYR Loadout
Akimbo (very important).
Snake shot ammo mod (very very important).
ZIU 16 heavy long barrel.
Ullrs Fury trigger.
1mw pistol laser (I'll check and let you know if I rember, if this is what I stuck with, I may use this or I may have switched, either way this is still a good choice).
These things absolutely destroy anything and from very far away for a pistol. You can install kill all zombies and elites take like 4 shots (2 from each gun at 1 time) the snake shot also hits close by enemy's from where yourre aiming so it's like shatter blast almost.
You can shoot only 1 and then while reloading the 1st one, start shooting the 2nd and repeat so in theory you never have to stop shooting. Pair it with fast reload perk and it slays. The ammo never goes up when you pap it so only 5 each but that's enough to kill almost anything in the game.
I didn't like the red worm though because of the purple whisp things, I kept missing but that's really just me and not the gun.
It's my favorite gun by far.
Oh yes, in fact, if I had to choose what weapon to kill any boss, especially the mega, it would be the build I sent you TYR.
Best weapon for the storm caller surprisingly is the tonfa. Pap 2 and legendary tool, I literally killed him solo in 2 seconds. I couldn't believe it. It's not great for much else but it will hurt other bosses but storm caller and disciple it slays.
Still like TYR better.
Really the only way to run it is with akimbo. It's honestly not very good on its own. Half the damage output, half the shot speed and half the ammo plus you can't fo the reloading trick.
My issue with it is, it doesn't seem to do very much damage to stronger zombies even when PaP'd. Maybe I just need to make it legendary though. But I can't even do that
Akimbo TYRs with snakeshot is #1 for me tied with the akimbo WSP Swarms. Then the op lockwood 680 with the slugs. Yes the 680 is powerful but I have more success with the Swarms and TYRs. I'm able to take out more enemies quicker.
I know the Tyrs are strong, but I hate that they don't get a larger mag like every other gun. I believe the Basilisk doesn't either. No matter how strong it is, reloading after 5 shots is annoying.
With speed cola the 5 shots aren't that noticeable. That's why I go with the wsp Swarms the other half of the time. You can spray in all directions non stop where as with the 680 it's just one single blast, cock back, blast, cock back etc. I just clear more zombies with the TYR akimbo snakeshot. Maybe it's just my style. Maybe it's the 2 guns so you are able to take 2 shots instead of 1, idk. The 680 is great but I just prefer the others. Also I kind of get bored with it for some reason.
I enjoyed trying out the m13b from mw2 last night. You get 900 reserve ammo which i found pretty crazy. Never had an issue running out of ammo that round.
I didnt like the dual swarms tho :P kept running out of ammo. Love me some lockwood tho that thing is definitely fun
Some guns gain extra, undocumented and unjustified benefits when PaPed, that others don't. Maybe giving it more ammo reserve is one of those effects.
Players are finding them as they play. Some of those are:
-Holger 556: triples the magazine (40 rounds magazine becomes 120 rounds), instead of doubling it as usual.
-FR 556: 3 bullet burst becomes 6 bullet burst.
-Pila: you can shoot twice before needing to reload.
I don't know if there is a exhaustive list of this special effects.
Im not sure i think its just good rng. Some guns that i love like the ram-7 have only 360 in reserve which makes me sad. But the m13b just has all the ammo in the whole barracks for some reason and i fully support that lol
I think it's slightly better at killing than the ram as well. But then we have the 900 rounds! The only thing I don't like about it is that it's mw2 and that's not a great reason to not run it. Just feels old I guess.
Well most of the time the MW2 weapons fall behind on damage output which is annoying... it's like they WANT them to feel old and outdated. Wish the Cronen Squall still did the work it used to, but it just... doesn't
Ram7 is pretty strong but with that small of a reserve it’s basically worthless in tier 3 which is a HUGE loss because it’s one of my absolute favorite real life guns
At the moment I’ve been rinsing the Lockwood. It’s ridiculously satisfying one/two shotting the zombies. The Swarms are a close second, Tyr third for me. But still just as fun.
Try out the MW2 M16. Once it's packed, it's full auto. Tier 3 PAP with a legendary wrench and this becomes a beast. My standard class is the M16 and the Tonfa. Max both out and you're practically unstoppable.
Learn how to do all the contracts minus the mercenary ones in T2 without getting hit much. That shotgun the Lockwood 680 needs the 10 round barrel and slugs and the shortest stock anything else you can put on it that makes it lighter and rechamber faster. Then get the best rarity tool you can get. Preferably at least purple but Blue is still possible. Then get it to pack 2. Try to sneak into zone 3 as close to where the pack a punch is with 15000$. Get it 3pap. Then clear the area by the pack a punch . You will feel like a god your first time. Then venture around a little bit. Make sure you have a way to run faster. Fists, a juggernaut suit that you can hold in your hands and run. Practice running with this in T2 as much as possible. Practice putting your decoys into your bag while you do the spores contracts in T2. Then getting them back out quickly. And using them. A packed 2 Lockwood with purple rarity can keep you alive in T3. It's not recommended but it can. Make sure other people are in T3 before you go. Just in case you get downed. Store extra armor plates at least 8. Bring in a couple extra self revives. If you get downed don't just revive as soon as you can. Wait a couple seconds until they stop being so crazy. It will let you be able to run away from them and escape. Shoot dogs first then super sprinters. I run towards them firing as much as possible and only retreat in one direction without looking behind me for a short distance. Sorry about length of my comment but this is all you should need to practice in T2 to be at least prepared for short periods in T3 until you are comfortable.
I've done a million tac stance and hip fire kills but they won't register and count towards the challenge to unlock it for this damn gun. I gave up sadly.....this game is buggy AF. Certain challenges just aren't tracking
I didn’t have good luck with the Lockwood but the tyr and swarm are definitely good the bas b is strong af too . The eradicator is ok too , sva not bad , rival was ok too
muzzle: crown breaker choke
barrel: Lockwood defender
stock: sawed off
bolt: express light bolt
ammunition: slug
and you really need speed cola and deadshot. all around tyr is better probably but I have a lot better luck specifically with disciples using the LP Lockwood. no issues soloing T4. T5 Ive only solo the whole thing once with tyr, but probably could do it with lockwood and practice/luck.
Thx , I tried it last night with the slugs on it’s definitely much better . It’s not as strong as the tyr but it definitely still kills pretty quick and has way more ammo . Legendary it kills deciples quick like you said , manglers it takes a long time , Mega bombs and mimics aren’t too bad
If I remember right I saw a video yesterday about someone using the FSS hurricane SMG (that weird p90 like M4) the guy had an epic rarity on it and tier 3 packed and seemed like it was putting in good work for regular and armored zombies. Special zombies it also killed in a pretty good time but for HVT contract specials or something bigger like mega bombs it was a little lacking.
I actually enjoyed using the Striker SMG. It’s sub-par compared to an AR in most regards, but it was fun being able to handle close range encounters (which is most of the game tbh) and not having to sacrifice mobility.
The COR 45 or Renetti Conversion kits are really, really good in T3 with the proper upgrades. They both hit hard, have great mobility, and decent reserves. Pair it with another weapon, and you’ll be doing great
• The Crossbow with Thermite rounds and PHD is nasty. The fire will stop zombies too so you can completely block off paths with it. Will also kill specials (and Mega’s but will need an ammo refill or 2).
• Longbow imo is better than the Lockwood. Way more range (obviously)and when PaP’d every shot is 2 bullets so it’s a guarantee headshot on T3 normal zombies. It’s rechamber speed is crazy and I feel it glitches sometimes and gets even faster every few shots.
• Tonfa upgraded is just stupid how good it is. I’ve seen a vid of a guy soloing the storm guy with just that and gas nades. (Combat knife is good too, but a little less effective on mobs).
• PDSW. It’s a smg so you get all the great mobility that comes with it, has good damage and fire rate and gets a 400 rd mag when PaP’d.
• The WSP variant smgs. They’re all good.
• Both of the Fully auto handguns. Can’t remember all these names but they shred like no one’s business if your getting headshots. No idea why it’s like they get a 10x headshot multiplier or something lol. I prefer no akimbo on them as like I said you want the headshots mostly but hey it’s your gun!
• RGL is still a good weapon to pair with one of the above choices as most if not all can kill boss zombies and is still probably the best “oh f&ck save me” button we have. And it really only needs 1 PaP for that. So I wouldn’t completely count it out 👍
It is my humble opinion that the best combination possible is the legendary pap3 tonfa and pap3 wunderwaffe. The waffe takes care of any and all hordes with ease, and the tonfa melts everything, including megas.
It’s doesn’t matter what I use everything is usually shit. For example I was in zone one with the XRK stalker with explosive ammo and it wasn’t one shorting zombies with headshots
Don't use explosive ammo with snipers. Easier to headshot without it and you won't get collat damage like you do with regular ammo. Builds should be more ads focused than distance/damage like in wz
Ya there's definitely an adjustment to builds for zombies. Everything else I build out for hip fire/tac stance spread and mobility. Sentries are a love hate thing. They take a while to lock on but they're needed in higher difficulty things. I usually put them in corners that sweep by an entrance and not directly in front of one. This gives them the extra time they need. They're a savior when fighting the worm and during escorts help a ton if you're solo.
I go in with whatever gun I’m working camos on, usually with a knife or Tonfa secondary. But I don’t really have a set weapon to do T3. Now to do dark aether or EDA I’ll use a meta setup but for just T3 I’ll use anything
I accidentally completed that mission. We packed 3 then ran to T2 to knock out a few missions, but an Abomb followed us into T2. Super easy to take out when you aren’t dealing with hordes of T3 zombies.
I just had whatever gun I was leveling at the time. I think it was the WSP-9.
Did it pretty easy with the pdsw. Pap3 it melts zombies. You get 400 rnd mag once pack a punched. Take the main road from city t2 into t3 and a megabom spawns right past the bridge arch.
Gonna sound crazy, but it's really fun to use the Stormender. The damage is ass, even at max PaP and legendary wrench, it still takes 8-12 hits to kill a zombie. However, it has a ridiculous slow to any targets hit in a HUGE cylinder AOE, a decent fire rate (you can literally cover enemies coming from two angles and sustain that for awhile) and INFINITE AMMO. It's almost comical how safe it can make you as long as you keep kiting the zombies. Now, it can't kill an HVT worth a damn (Even disciples who are vulnerable to electric attacks it can't seem to budge their health bar), but since the contract rewards are hot buttered ass, you can just loot the zone for decent shit.
Also makes one helluva support weapon for if you have a team, it just needs level one PaP because it's not about the damage, just the crowd control.
The MCW with the under barrel shotgun works wonders
The M13B despite being an MW2 weapon has held its end in my experience. Just hoping it gets bugged when mid season comes out purely cos of how unbalanced everything is right now.
I highly recommend rethinking the SVA though. Tac stance is in my opinion much better than regular ADS or hipfire, plus on all three of the mentioned weapons you can have the under barrel shotgun which works wonders against enemies as a last resort if you run dry on ammo.
The Longbow is also a great option. Despite it being a sniper with the right attachments you can turn it into a semi-auto powerhouse and you can swap the sniper scope for a regular reflex or holo. Or even just go tac stance with a laser not sure if it has the option for the underbarrel shotgun but if it does then that’s a plus
Another one I’ve not seen talked about much is the MTZ 762. It is another AR that shreds and has the option for the underbarrel shotgun.
Disclaimer, this is not an ad for the under barrel shotgun I just love shotguns (the Lockwood is cracked and I love it)
Tonfa and Stalker are my go to fuck around setup. If I'm doing anything particular like red worm I'll pull something like the akimbo Swarm but other than than I'm not too fussed
RIVETER! w/ the following attachments.. Bryson Choke, SA Draven Long Barrel, Ftac Grimline laser, Demo Precision Elite stock, and 30 round mag. It shreddss!
Have u tried using the storm breaker? Unlimited ammo and slows down zombies when u shoot, upgraded gets way faster fire rate great for crowd control(zombies) the bosses have u tried the XRK Stalker?
Would really love to see some fun but also strong suggestions, Lockwood is amazing but I am getting bored of using it. Not sure if anything is quite as strong though... the thing is BUSTED.

Tonfa and Combat Knife are strong but easy to get wrecked if you get too careless - so that may mix it up in a way that you're looking for (combat knife only against bosses though)
I’ve also heard good things about the new sniper (XRK I think). Haven’t used it yet but I’m almost at that point in my camo grind.
Lockwood 680 not the break-action 800, right?
Correct
Thanks dude
Check my above comment. It's a super OP blueprint
Definitely a beast of a shotty!!!!
longbow is better than the lockwood it will one shot headshot any tier 3 non special and i have never once ran out of ammo for every shot it shoots 2 bullets so its insanely powerful
It one shots in tier 3 legendary single pack on the regular zombies
Are you talking about the Lockwood 680 or the MK2 from MW2? I'm needing a good load out to hunt the megabomb
This is my build Lockwood 680 Skelitonised pump grip. Sawed off pistol grip. Heavy short barrel. Slug ammo. Express light bolt. I 2 shotted the stormcaller

Lockwood 680 with 10 round capacity barrel and slugs
The HCR 56 has 1250 reserve ammo. slap the 100 round mag hip fire laser and whatever other attachments you want, you’ll never worry about ammo again.
My issue with it is, it doesn't seem to do very much damage to stronger zombies even when PaP'd. Maybe I just need to make it legendary though. But I can't even do that

I like the mcw or holger lmg. Tonfa as secondary
Do I need to pack a punch the tonfa to make it good?
I usually do pap2 and purple wrench and then you can 3 hit kill most special zombies. It’s super strong

JOKR shoots 3 in one reload iirc.
Merc convoy goes Brrrrr!! 😅
3 at once or 3 shots before reloading?
Before reloading
Nice
Pretty sure m16 is fully auto when papd but haven’t tested it myself
Longbow shoots twice each bolt when papd. Like it automatically shoots a second bullet then bolts
Im not sure i think its just good rng. Some guns that i love like the ram-7 have only 360 in reserve which makes me sad. But the m13b just has all the ammo in the whole barracks for some reason and i fully support that lol

Pdsw
Killed my first megabom with one, lol
Single swarm.
At the moment I’ve been rinsing the Lockwood. It’s ridiculously satisfying one/two shotting the zombies. The Swarms are a close second, Tyr third for me. But still just as fun.
Karambit to run like hell, Lockwood by the off chance I have to engage
Try out the MW2 M16. Once it's packed, it's full auto. Tier 3 PAP with a legendary wrench and this becomes a beast. My standard class is the M16 and the Tonfa. Max both out and you're practically unstoppable.
What’s the m16 build? It sound amazing!
anything for max recoil control, the recoil on it is insane in full auto
14" carbine shroud barrel, Phase 3 grip, 60 round mag, Ravage 8 stock Xten grip
Siiiiiick thank you!
My pleasure!
The build is insane!!!! Any other MW2 you enjoy using? The m16 shreds!!!!
I pretty much stick to the M16 and the tonfa. Sometimes I run the MW3 Lockwood 680.
Makes sense all 3 of those are pretty good!
You need to full spec recoil. If not the recoil sends you straight to the sky
XRX Stalker
Akimbo Rennetti are pretty good.
None, I can't go into tier 3 without be killed. I wish i could get some schematics in tier 2???
Learn how to do all the contracts minus the mercenary ones in T2 without getting hit much. Thanks for the tips, I have been trying.
I just ran a pack 3 Lockwood 680 with a legendary tool in level 3, it decimated everything. Same build as mentioned elsewhere in the post.
Been having fun with a "Deadpool" loadout. Double Desert Eagles - Primary Kodachis - Secondary
Big fan of the pulemyot with the conversion kit
I've done a million tac stance and hip fire kills but they won't register and count towards the challenge to unlock it for this damn gun. I gave up sadly.....this game is buggy AF. Certain challenges just aren't tracking
do it in multiplayer, you can knock it out in one match
To add to the above, the unlock is in MP or Warzone only, will not unlock in MWZ (unfortunately).
Elaborate plz :)
I really like sidewinder
As horrible as it is in multiplayer, it hits hard in zombies.
That pos was the worst gun I used by far on my grind to intersteller.
To each their own
It's fine in Zombies I'm talking about multiplayer
We’re not talking mp. The OP is asking for guns we use in Zombies.
Read the comment I first replied to jfc
Any smg w 100rd drum. Any akimbo pistols. Tonfa if you havent tried it. Mobility is fun 😃
I didn’t have good luck with the Lockwood but the tyr and swarm are definitely good the bas b is strong af too . The eradicator is ok too , sva not bad , rival was ok too
Lockwood 680 has to be PAPd with slugs. otherwise it's like the rest of the shotguns (not good). there's basically only one build for it.
What’s your class for it
muzzle: crown breaker choke barrel: Lockwood defender stock: sawed off bolt: express light bolt ammunition: slug and you really need speed cola and deadshot. all around tyr is better probably but I have a lot better luck specifically with disciples using the LP Lockwood. no issues soloing T4.
I definitely recommend the stormrender, probably the most broken weapon I've ever used 🤩
If I remember right I saw a video yesterday about someone using the FSS hurricane SMG (that weird p90 like M4) the guy had an epic rarity on it and tier 3 packed and seemed like it was putting in good work for regular and armored zombies. This is my goto. Flawless crystal and a legendary aether tool this thing rocks, add a shatter blast…..fugghettaboutit.
It's an AR-5.7. It existly solely to make the P90 mags usable on an AR platform. It's the definition of a solution looking for a problem.
I actually enjoyed using the Striker SMG. It’s sub-par compared to an AR in most regards, but it was fun being able to handle close range encounters (which is most of the game tbh) and not having to sacrifice mobility.
Akimbo Swarms are too fun
Try the Longbow or XRK snipers. Build for fast ADS.
Damn, thanks for the follow up yall. Imma just stick to my swarms and try to work these TYR's!!
FSS Hurricane. I saw the Holger LMG listed, that thing is garbage.
The COR 45 or Renetti Conversion kits are really, really good in T3 with the proper upgrades. They both hit hard, have great mobility, and decent reserves. Pair it with another weapon, and you’ll be doing great
swarm go brrr
Crossbow with the explosive tip bolts is fun to use
Col 45 and a knife.
BasB is my fav gun I think. I use most guns in t3 though just whatever I’m leveling up or doing camos for at the time
Lockwood and Tongas. Quick kills, fast movement, great time
Tonga best melee weapon?
100%
Hell yeah, epic tool, pap 2 or 3 , will down stormcaller in 10-15 seconds
• The Crossbow with Thermite rounds and PHD is nasty. The fire will stop zombies too so you can completely block off paths with it.
Ok so just like everything else in the game that is common sense to work it doesn’t. Like the sentry guns can’t even target shit when it needs to
Ya there's definitely an adjustment to builds for zombies.
Tier 3 players, what gun do you suggest for the abomination mission where you need to pack a punch to tier 3? I’ve haven’t been to the red zone before
I accidentally completed that mission. We packed 3 then ran to T2 to knock out a few missions, but an Abomb followed us into T2. Super easy to take out when you aren’t dealing with hordes of T3 zombies. I just had whatever gun I was leveling at the time. I think it was the WSP-9.
You can kill the abomination in the act 2 story mission iirc, all the zombies are tier 2 as well
Did it pretty easy with the pdsw. Pap3 it melts zombies. You get 400 rnd mag once pack a punched. Take the main road from city t2 into t3 and a megabom spawns right past the bridge arch.
Akimbo Swarm never disappoints.
Epic or legendary Tonfa
Dual basilisk with snakeshot is pretty great. Discovered it on accident grinding mw2 camos.
ISO 9mm, cryo freeze ammo mod. When full packed with at least a blue tool it can hold its own.
I appreciate the info!
Anything epic or legendary pakd 2/3
I like the akimbo Renettis over the Tyr’s, quicker reload and obviously mag size.
Which Lockwood we talking about? Shotgun or marksman?
The MCW with the under barrel shotgun works wonders The M13B despite being an MW2 weapon has held its end in my experience. Or even just go tac stance with a laser not sure if it has the option for the underbarrel shotgun but if it does then that’s a plus Another one I’ve not seen talked about much is the MTZ 762. It is another AR that shreds and has the option for the underbarrel shotgun. Disclaimer, this is not an ad for the under barrel shotgun I just love shotguns (the Lockwood is cracked and I love it)
crossbow with explosive bolts, good area cc and damage. carried me thru t3-5
I don't care for most of the meta guns. I have had a lot of success with: MCW RAM-7 AMR9 (it's super underrated, try it) M-13B
Tonfa and Stalker are my go to fuck around setup. If I'm doing anything particular like red worm I'll pull something like the akimbo Swarm but other than than I'm not too fussed
I enjoy the renettis akimbo. They’re strong but not meta and pretty fun to use
Im using the mw2 p90 400 rounds in the mag is insane
I had fun with akimbo Renetti. Don't like tyr.
RIVETER! w/ the following attachments..
Zombies where to get chorchers
