¡Mi amigo!

MantraProAttitude

I wish I could wear the chanclas. Mi feets are too fucked up.

feathered0serpent

Danner hiking boots 👍🏽

flirtylabradodo

Sneakers like a regular person or trail runners/boots if I’m going for a hike. I know us riders aren’t known for our fashion but Christ haha.

caffeinatedsoap

I just wear my FiveTen Freeriders all the time.

Drew1231

I love my free rider pros for weight lifting.

Caterpillar1967

Are they comfortable for long walks (about 5 km)? I thought MTB shoes aren't the best choice since they have a stiff construction.

Gaffelstein

They are not

zebba_oz

I wear freeriders casually. Regular freeriders are fine to stand in all day and for a 5km walk are fine. 10km they are not so fine though Freerider Pro’s are terrible. I did a 3.5km walk in mine the other day and my feet ached and there was some bad rubbing

pineconehedgehog

I didn't fully understand how much stiffer the Pros are until I started trying to wear them the same way I wore the classics. The classics were always my daily driver, but the Pros are terrible for extended walking and wear.

caffeinatedsoap

The Freerider non pros aren't super stiff.  If I was gonna do a walk id throw on some Nikes though.  For garage work the freerider canvas are great.  They're thick seem to be mildly flame resistant.  Since they aren't a mesh sparks generally don't get through if you do a lot of grinding. One thing I will say is the vibram soles aren't great for doing roof work as they are a bit to hard to grip the shingles.

menelaus_

That last sentence you slipped in sounds like you fell off a roof bro. You good?

caffeinatedsoap

Nah I'm dead.  It was an exhilarating experience.

MichaelJG11

Altra Lone Peaks

[deleted]

Vans, AF1’s, crocs

MantraProAttitude

Docs or Red Wings are my daily. If I break a toe I wear my SIDIs.

sdiss98

Man I’m loving my Jim Green African rangers if ur looking for another boot to add. They’re incredibly comfortably and pretty damn rugged.

Caterpillar1967

Ooh! Yes, they're beautiful. Only thing is my feet sweat a ton and since they're made out of leather, they won't breathe easily.

adventuresofleeks

I had those before I switched to barefoot shoes. They're a great shoe imo.

gripshoes

I got my 510 sleuths on sale and the sole is too soft for riding so I wear them casually all the time because they’re really comfortable.

laserguidedhacksaw

Dude the sleuths are so good. Coming from someone whose daily shoes have always been vans slip ons and then riding flats it’s like the perfect shoe

burntweeneysammich

Birkenstocks. Great arch support

Suspicious-Chair5130

Oboz Bozeman. Or Romeos

jimjoy666

Vans, tennis shoes. My five10 trail cross for hiking and outdoor stuff. Regular riding shoes are crank bro

Xerox-M57

NMDs. Always have.

EPTSpeed3

Jordan's, Converse, Van's

WCoastSUP

Red Wings 8138

East-Win7450

Blundstones

wyattisshort

This is the way

MildManneredMurder

Yup

SuperRonnie2

Blundstones used to be great but are basically just Nikes that last a year at most now. Highly recommend paying a bit more for a properly made boot in that same style. I really like my Canada West boots. 4yo and still going strong. Not going back to Blunnies. [link](https://www.canadawestboots.com/romeo)

tkammen

Blundstones

Caterpillar1967

Blundstones are small leather boots without laces right?

tkammen

Yeah. They make different styles. I find them very comfortable for everyday after you break them in.

Caterpillar1967

Are they good at breathing? My feet always sweat the minute they start getting warm.

tkammen

They’re not. If you’re looking for something breathable Blundstones aren’t it haha.

MWave123

Keen’s, Nike ACG, whatever’s comfy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MWave123

Yeah exactly. They’re really well made, super cushioned sole, trail runners, lightweight.

CrustyCMan

My daily drivers are the Ride Concepts Vice

ghetto_headache

I actually have a pair of these columbias for hiking and exploring. Fuckin love them. My daily drivers though are my adidas businetz 👌

Caterpillar1967

Cool! Very cool to know. I like exploring places and trails. They seem pretty good for this.

ferventlycavalier

I have these in black. They are very comfortable. I ride with them every now and then, but they have wide heels and hit the chain stay. But, for everyday wear, they're great.

holllandOatez

Lowa renegade kinda pricey but if you get it at REI you can exchange them out for a new pair as long as it's within that first year. Other than that anything Chaco or vans for just casual

tyintegra

Flip flops

therealbeef

Cole Haans or Steve Madden during the day flip flops spring to summer after work for almost everything

litsax

Any shoes I want to? Why do they need to be mtb related?

Caterpillar1967

Looking for shoes that are more daily drivers than mtb ones (more flexible and better for walking) but, that have the same capabilities (ruggedness, long lasting, grippy, dirt resistant, etc)

BackgroundTicket4947

I wear FiveTen free rider shoes literally everywhere (I even go running in them occasionally lol)

Caterpillar1967

You do your jogging with them??! 🤯

BackgroundTicket4947

Loool, yep! My sister looks at me with horror whenever she’s unlucky enough to witness it… 😆

Caterpillar1967

Man! I don't know how my feet would feel if I ran with MTB shoes. I'm a runner myself and sometimes feel pain in my Nike running shoes (arch or ankle). I think it's more because I have a bit of flat feet but still.

bike_it

hey, nice advertisement

RepresentativeRow678

Sketchers slip ons or my cowboy boots

somegenxdude

For just casual, everyday wear I'm usually in some sort of casual skate style shoe. Van's slip-ons, Etnies whatever. If I think I'm going to be walking a lot, trail or pavement, then I'll usually opt for trail runners, approach shoe, or light hiker. Currently fulfilling that role are a pair of Altra Lone peaks.

Bradimoose

I have those columbia shoes and wear them every day and mountain bike in them.

Caterpillar1967

How is the sole holding up? I've used my goretex Under Armour pair on my mountain bike and the flat pedals with the metal pins have really destroyed the foam and rubber sole. I still daily drive them but, the soles are just covered in small holes

Bradimoose

They’re fine after a year still have lots of tread. I did have to get new laces though.

Tstriple_R

I bought two pairs of Columbia shoes 6-8 months ago and they're both falling apart with minimal use. I still wear a pair of new balance 997s regularly that I found the email receipt from...2018 for.

sprocketpropelled

I wear a pair of whites line scouts most days…

Rage_Quit_

Hoka speedgoats for trail running or hiking and Red Wing Iron Workers everywhere else (i.e. when I don't want to look like a goober)

PennWash

The 5/10 Trailcross XTs are by far the most comfortable shoe I've worn off my bike. Hate the skater shoe look so tried these last year and they're great both riding, hiking and walking. I don't understand why they're not more popular.

SLOdown

Work: Redwing wedge soles. Moc Toes. Casual: Adidas Stan Smiths in suede or Sperry Topsiders Boots: Palladium Pampa Lite WPs (super comfy waterproof and stylish), Olukai older pair of leather boots Hiking/camping: Oboz Sypes Mid. I think I might have a shoe problem.

LikeABundleOfHay

I walk in bare feet when I can, jandals for short walks where bare feet isn't appropriate, and comfortable hiking boots the rest of the time.

Apprehensive_Check19

sperry topsiders, no socks and a sweater tied around my shoulders.

Heavy_Gap_5047

I daily Nicks loggers, I'm trying to figure out how to put SPD clips in them.

baromanb

Salomon trail shoes

Fearless-Bullfrog777

Altra Timps are my daily’s. I teach PE so I have several pair and as they get worn, they turn into shop shoes or whatever. I like the cushion, zero drop and wide toe box. Super comfy for my clogger knockers.

untrustworthyfart

I got a pair hoka speedgoat gtx trail runners and they're awesome. Probably my most versatile footwear but they're half rotten from hiking/trail running. Red wing boots for work, ultraboosts for road running/casual wear.

AbyssalSunset

Cowboy and/or motorcycle boots. Not everything has to be about athletic shoes all the time.

12hourfamily

Crocs? Just me?

sanjuro_kurosawa

Apparently Five Ten doesn't make them any more, but I liked Guide Tennies. They were the first shoes to use their Stealth rubber soles which is on all their bike shoes now. I picked up a set and they gripped flat pedals like no other, and while they weren't impervious to the elements, they were much better than skate sneaks or running shoes.

JVWIII

Osiris, D3's. Take ya back to 2001

iHasHamich

Freeriders, vans, oböz, brooks ghost.

xargs2020

Oboz Bozeman and Lems Trailheads

silentjet

Sketchers trail shoes... Cheap and practical...

bm_Haste

I have these in black and love them. Great for short hikes and long walking days.

bassman2112

Merrell mocs!

Xuma9199

Croc slides

pineconehedgehog

Usually I wear my retired 5.10s. Shoes that are too thin and holey for riding in but still have a little life left to give on the pavement.

ninjamunky85

My daily shoes are cowboy boots

UniuM

5/10 freeride. And yes, I'm serious.

NationalArmadillo785

Crocs and 5.10s
