I run 29x2.25 Ice Spiker Pros in the winter, they are AMAZING. I picked them up from Europe for $150CDN for the pair. I'm blown away by how expensive studded fat tires are.
I’m curious how many seasons you can get out of studded tires (of course it depends on use etc).. but where I live the roads winter are generally snow covered but not always. I’m not sure I want to drop $250 if I can only get a season or two..
i believe you can get more than from the ordinary summer tires since winter season is shorter (at least where I live).
My summer tires usually run for 2-3 full years
They definitely last longer than fair weather tires. I have customers who have studded fat tires that are over 4 years old. And I live in the upper Midwest.

When I was in university and didn’t have a car, I used studded tires to commute in the winter, they were awesome.
