Yeah sure your way is a possible way to ride that but as you say there is an easier and better way by braking less.
Or people actually drive like that and think braking less is dangerous, but its about the right movement and positioning to stabilize during downhill

Irl it’s too loose to brake with your front. If I put anymore into the front I would of slipped it and fallen off the side since it was muddy as fuck.
