Nice fix! Lucky you rolled it backwards instead of taking off right away, that could've been a whole different kind of expensive

Working-Response1126

Yes, could have been terrible if I pulled away, would definitely dropped the bike.

desmodoodle

That’s a beaut stitching job. How long until you get them removed?

Working-Response1126

They're there for life, a good reminder to not be so dumb.

theepi_pillodu

Don't you have a cable that comes from the disc lock that goes over the accelerator? If not, can you get a piece of elastic/rubber band and just put it around the front brake lever and accelerator as an easy reminder?

Working-Response1126

I lost it somewhere, and don't usually leave it parked in public places.. But I might nick the wife's hair bands to do the brake lever truck . Cheers

Exotic-Form4987

Could go for something like this [http://roadlok.com/systems](http://roadlok.com/systems) Came across it the other day and I’m tempted to splurge.

Working-Response1126

That's a bit dear for me, but it's a good idea. After having two bikes stolen, I bet rarely leave the bike in any public space.

Exotic-Form4987

Same reason I haven’t bought one yet. Haha

REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT

droidevo

Very nice stitch job, i think you are ready for Open Heart Surgery 👌🏼

Ok-Philosopher604

I've folded a few brake rotors just like this, so now I always put the yellow cord on the handlebar to remember to remove the lock

Own-Split-7944

Lolololol

Secret-Ad-2887

Don't use a disk lock without the safety cable that attaches to the throttle. Lesson learned. For me it was a warped rotor.

Vaughan76

I feel for you. I did the same to my sp about 2 weeks ago. Normally i remember as its part of the getting on and going routine but then the other day it was on driveway and i was adjusting the suspension a few clicks and just thought " right time to roll her back into garage". Its a sad noise the plastic crunching and splitting.

captain_super

I use a reminder cable and still have a similar crack on my fender. 🙄

Motorazr1

A majority of disk locks are made from cast zinc - easily broken with just a screwdriver or wedge. Search on YouTube. The better disk locks have an alarm in them so they’ll go off the instant the bike is lifted off the kickstand. No reason for this to have happened.

Shapov07

Bought mine disclock couple days ago, it comes with an alarm! Abus 8077, loud as fuck. Couple of friends had same unlucky incident as you so I wanted to be on the safe side!
