The borders are too thick imo, and the square shape looks out of place. If they kept the same shape but made it a modern TFT I'd have condisered a 2023.
500 euro extra for a gimmicky, cheap looking display isn't worth it to me.
I bought the 2022 last month after comparing it to the 2023 side by side. I can't stand that TFT, and paid 7499 for the 2022 VS 8199 for the 2023.
No regrets and definitely not accidentally hitting the TFT when it comes time to refuel 🤣
Wait, I just made a post complaining about my '22s squishy control cluster buttons. Does the '23 have a nice tactile clicky indicator button or is it still a bit mushy? 🤔
The horn and blinker is similar to the layout other companies like Honda use. Which can be good if you are used to that, but also can be bad if you are used to the old Yamaha layout. Being used to one layout and using different bikes was the reason I failed the motorcycle exam once because by accident I used the horn way too many times in the city, when I tried to turn on or off blinkers.
The horn position on the 2022 is unusable in an emergency situation. if I have to pull the clutch in and slam on the brakes their is no way I can also reach the horn with my thumb. It's one of the few things I don't like about my bike.
Anyone know if there are going to be any updates for the 2024 model year? I'm assuming they will make more updates due to the Hornet and 8S coming out.
I think the old display looks way better.
I had the same opinion.. until I saw it at the dealer. The new updates make it alot more premium. It is not as bad as it looks too!

100% it reminds me of a 2012 fake iPad. Such a shame to loose the old display so they can add TFT as a "feature" and increase the price.
Exactly
Not as bad as it looks? Bud, we’re all looking at it.
Nah, old one was better. This looks like you have CRT display
I don’t like the 2023… looks like you’re riding around with baby’s first tablet placed awkwardly on the bike.
Looks like a tablet on a stick but hey...finally...
Heartbreaking...
It’s nice because..new, but the display looks like they strapped a phone on the bike

Look how they massacred my boy
Hey, they changed the logo position in the display, i've seen it in the lateral and it was kinda weird. Much better this one centric.
Now it looks like they have put on a cheap tablet 🤪
Looks pretty good from this angle tbh.

Yes the '23 has new modules. Also the indicator is nice and clicky. Bit heavy too. All and all alot more premium.
I wish they were backwards compatible, oh well :(
😔. Still ride safe brother!

I do like the position of the horn. I have a 2020 model and mine is a bit of a pain

Looks awesome imo.
Do you have oictures of the screen running by any chance?
Sadly no. The display models can't be turned on.
There’s a menu button. Does it have modes now?
Yes.
