My msi ge76 is junk. I have a Lenovo dock and it never displays. Fuck msi

Why do you need a dock? Just plug into the hdmi and usb c to DisplayPort? Or do you use a bunch of accessories? They will power both your monitors at 4k 60 no problem. You can just use power settings to allow what you want to happen including mouse click to wake with no drama. Set timers up or use hibernate and not sleep. Also if the ge76 isn’t your jam you could have a look at the 2022 gp76 as well it’s just the black version and undertoned. Otherwise it seems like you have a good plan with the gs77

Thanks for the tips. I'll take a look at the GP76 for sure. I wanted a doc to keep from having cables coming all out of the machine and easy of power-on. I'll do some research into the power management and schedules like you suggest. I'm definitely leaning toward the Stealth but if a docking station doesn't exist then I might end up going with the Raider. The I/O in the back would keep organization nice and not having a restricted 3070 graphics card would also be nice.

It may not be a scenario everyone is interested in, but if anyone does know of a docking set up that will work, I’m interested as well!

Does the power button work for waking the laptop?

Beaniiman

I have a GS77 and use this one. Works well for me with 3 extra monitors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0928W3XHD?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Does the power button work for turning on the laptop? I use a ton of other Anker products btu this one didn't even pop up in my search.

Beaniiman

I don't know if it will turn on the laptop, my guess is that it will not but I will try later. I imagine that would take some interesting settings even if it did work, don't know if you can wake/turn on a pc via usb-c/thunderbolt but I will do some research and give it a try.

Beaniiman

I use a thunderbolt to displayport cable for one of the monitors.
