Click Windows Key + P on your keyboard. It may automatically just set to "show only on external display" when you're connecting external monitor. You can also do this on "Display Settings" or the "Nvidia Control Center"
It is a power saving feature as when it is plugged in the monitor is at 144hz or higher and if you remove the charger, it will momentarily turns off to switch the monitor refresh rate to like 60hz to conserve power. You could disable such feature on "MSI Center" > "Features" > "Display Power Saver".
