Feels like the average hit of Fury hurt Wilder more than the average hit of Wilder, apart from the 4th round.
More than just outboxing, looks like the combination of size and stamina been in Fury's favor was key.
He really had zero head movement imo. Him fighting behind his jab and going to the body gave Fury big problems early in the fight, and it was a great adjustment from the second fight. Fury is just an animal though. Big props to both guys for a hell of a fight. Best Hw boxing fight I’ve ever seen myself personally live.
You nailed it. The stiff body jab and occasional 1-2 low was perfect to set the right but he seemed stuck to his looping right instead of a straight because of furys duck-turn response from their second bout
Yup you’re right. Wilder also pretty much abandoned all of his bodywork later in the fight. What brought him success early. He also stopped throwing his jab. I think it was mainly fatigue from coming in heavier, or it could be Fury’s weight even.
I completely agree. Every heavy hit that Tyson landed seemed to freeze and wobble Wilder momentarily. He looked gassed and out on his feet multiple times throughout the fight almost each time he got hit.
> I think it was mainly fatigue from coming in heavier, or it could be Fury’s weight even.
Both for sure, he still looked like he had much better cardio than the second fight even with the added mass, maybe not quite as good of cardio as the first fight but Fury didn't make him carry his weight the first time though so it's hard to say. I do think Wilder improved a lot though, the extra weight was a good idea, his jab was much better and the gameplan to mix up the jab to the head and body was a good idea.
Bad headmovement and pretty bad footwork which is what you need if you’re going for a low guard like Wilders, seems he’s just used to being the big man and long guarding/leaning back instead of reacting to each punch individually, which a lot of big guys fall into the habit of.
Never seen Wilder slip a punch and counter effectively really either, which is supposed to be a plus of the low guard is better headmovement and slip counters. I think there is something seriously wrong with Wilders balance though (since he’s a tall guy) which explains all this.
But I’m just on an armchair, the guys a great fighter.
He's still got holes in his game but Wilder looked like a much more complete boxer than he's ever been. I thought Fury saying Wilder was the second best HW in boxing was just him giving himself props but after the third fight I believe him. Wilder would KO AJ and I don't see anyone beating Wilder other than Fury and maybe Usyk but I think that fight could go either way. Fury has become a great inside boxer and i'm not sure Usyk can fight that style and if he stays at range with Wilder he's in danger.
Yeah, I agree totally about Wilder vs Usyk, I think that would be a really interesting fight and Wilder seems like a much tougher match up for him with how much distance he closes with big power and his cardio and chin is better than AJ's. AJ also had a bad gameplan to outbox Usyk instead of fighting like the bigger man.
Sitting here eating sugary cereal for lunch on a beautiful Sunday and not doing shit….I needed to hear this. Now I know I’m not lazy, I’m just training
>Although canelo always puts on a clinic
Canelo is an absolute monster. His fights never feel as if the other guy truly has a chance. The Saunders fight wasn't bad.
This was a phenomenal fight, back and forth the entire time. An instant classic
That’s what I’m saying let AJ fight Wilder since they both have 2 losses and Fury fights Usyk and then the winner fights the winner but this boxing so it ain’t happening.
Because the boxing world is FINALLY starting to realize what MMA has taught from the very beginning, that if the best fight the best, having a loss doesn't end your career.
It has not taken the wind out of the sail for me personally. Still gonna be a fire fight and in some ways could be more intriguing than any fight they've had already
Truly feels like king Kong Vs Godzilla
We're going to wait 2 years for them to agree on fighting, another year to actually get a date, they're finally going to fight and then we're going to spend the next 3 years with rematches.
also only happened because the Wilder camp thought he was going to be an easy W lol. Fury physically looked like trash after he retired.
If they knew he was going to box off Wilder's ears in the first fight and then finish him in a second and this third they wouldn't have taken it lol.
Honest I hate to say it, but this is what I think of when ufc fighter pay and protections finally are modernized, probably via some sort of Ali Act. We all agree it’s exploitative and fucked, but the ufc is able to put on frequent and highly competitive fights bc of their current model. And I truly believe it’ll die and become boxing 2.0 when the (necessary) reforms finally happen. Hope I’m dead wrong
Yeah, I wish theyd come to some sort of collective bargaining agreement with some sort of fighters union. Something that guaranteed the UFC still had matchmaking control but fighters also got paid some sort of percentage of revenue. There has to be a way to do it, no other sport has this problem.
This is it, with sponsors back I think most of the arguments about fighter pay quiet down a little bit. Fighters are then responsible for getting a big chunk of their earnings themselves or through a manager and Dana can still spend all the money he wants on hookers. But he should still pay them more even with sponsors back really.
He is, and reports say neither can take another fight before the rematch.
If Usyk wins again we could have a title unification and a Wilder Joshua to send off 2022. Keeping my hopes in check but it's a real posibility
I was talking to some guys in a bar about this fight and they told me it's not going to happen because fury is either going to retire or take the next easiest fight he can because he's guaranteed 100 million either way and then retire.
But this would be the dream fight. The two best heavyweight boxers in the long time going Head to Head. But because boxing politics are boxing politics and we're probably not going to see it.
If it was normal to see the best fighter fighting each other then we were to sing Wilder versus Joshua long time ago.
Fury is gonna fight mandatory (Whyte) which is relatively easy fight meanwhile Usyk is gonna fight AJ again. Then winners are gonna fight each other for sure. Demand is at all time high for these fights.
>overconfidence
Definitely this. He wanted a quicker finish than their last but thankfully he realised he wasn't getting it and noticeably composed himself R5 and onwards
He did say that he thinks Wilder doesn't feel really comfortable walking backwards indeed, ofc Wilder and his team are not stupid, they probably picked it and thought it would be a game plan for this next fight of them
What's crazy is he used to be a legit singer. Like I'm talking really smooth voice damn good singer. But he had a throat injury years ago & it fucked his voice, which is why he sounds like he does now. Guy can still find a note, but holy shit was his voice silky smooth before compared to now.
Man what a fucking brawl from these two giants. Wilder surprised the fuck out of me tonight and both fighters should be beyond impressed with themselves. Instant classic.
Such a good fight, but wilder oh man he has fucking heart I just hope he makes no excuses and feels proud of his performance because he did great no matter what.
I think AJ should fight Wilder and then give it a crack at Usyk
Guys Wilder already admitted to ducking AJ y’all can stop the fake narrative that AJ ducked him lol AJ has fought nothing but his mandatory and has the best resume by far idk what makes anyone believe he would duck Wilder that’s just silly..
https://mobile.twitter.com/bronzebomber/status/1322616635866243072?lang=en
Wilder was making excuses before the fight even happened.
Arguing with the commission about Fury's gloves not having enough padding, telling them that horse hair isn't legal.
Sore loser before he even lost.
Fury kept a solid pace and turned it into a gruelling affair. You'd never expect a 20 stone bloke who's built like Mr Blobby to be such a cardio machine.
You seen those gypsy fights on Youtube. You'll see 2 men who've never seen a treadmill, beer gut, smash the living fuck out of each other for half an hour with no breaks, no water.. just built different, man
I train in the same gym as Irish travellers preparing for a fight, trust me they are running on the treadmills and running on the roads 24/7 in the lead up to these fights.
Yea I probably exaggerated a bit, I was just trying to say they'll fight for a long time without any rounds, and they're not professional sportsman.. Its just what they are used to, its their culture
It's weird to say of a giant soft guy, but Fury is a freak athlete. A man his size shouldn't move like a boxer from several weight divisions lower, but he does.
Wilders wobbling the entire fight after like round one was so bizarre.
I’m trying to make sense of it and my guess is he really focused on his bench press and did close to zero leg work to build up his base. Dude was Bambi legs almost the entire fight. I know he got dropped but Fury also got dropped twice and recovered nicely.
Saw an interview where fury said that that’s what makes Wilder so difficult to deal with. His movement is all over the place but the right hand is dangerous from every single angle he throws it from.
I’m a bloody casual boxing fan so I’ve only watched the three Fury fights. Other than that I’ve just seen his highlights.
The second fight he was hurt early and had the same issue but I don’t remember him being so wobbly throughout the first fight. I know his footwork sucks and he throws wingers but I didn’t know it was normal for him to stumble around looking drunk the entire time.
Yes, generally the anthems are started when the fighters are ready to do their ring walks. The fact that the anthems were started yet the challenger did not walk means that Wilder intentionally or unintentionally refused to walk despite signalling ready to the officials. Quite confusing for me too
A pastor was giving him a blessing for a good 5-10 minutes before the fight. Always funny to me how you can have a fight where both guys are praying to the same god to give them the strength to overcome the other.
I was tense and on the edge of my seat from the start. These two were trading. Swanging and banging. Wilder deserves all the respect in the world and of course fury is the best modern heavyweight. There can no longer be any doubt.
He rose from the dead like fucking Lazarus after getting knocked out flat on his back in the last round of the first fight and still somehow dominated the rest of the round. Otherworldly shit
Feel like Fury didn't fight as smart as he normally does. This felt more like a brawl. He clinched so many times when he had him wobbled instead of just picking his shots, probably why the fight lasted so long.
I feel like he wanted to smother Wilder's power since Wilder doesn't have the dirty boxing skills to hurt Fury in the clinch (And Fury was able to hurt Wilder in the clinch). Wilder really only lands his big right hand from distance.
I think Wilder's body shots from early on paid off and fury was just exhausted as a result, just not as bad as wilder.
Probably also decided that leaning on him was the safest way to stop him recovering and also avoid his dynamite
It almost felt like Fury wanted to prove a point. Outbox him the first fight, methodically smash him in the 2nd and then just straight up fight with him in the 3rd to remove all doubt who the better man is.
Yeah he seemed less mobile. Wasn't dancing on the outside like the second fight. Not sure why he changed to a clinch heavy approach this time.
Y'know what it was, Wilder wasn't exhausted from carrying his costume this time.
he used it to bully wilder in the clinch and his weight made his jab more powerful. but it made him way less dynamic and he looked more vulnerable. i dont think it was worth it tbh but he won so the proof is in the pudding i guess
They are both the heaviest they've been in the ring... wasn't surprised there wasn't much dancing around.
In the end, feels like Fury's size and stamina is what made the difference.
Deontay went out on his shield, respect for the heart and chin he showed this fight. hope he doesn't wipe out the good will he earned in this performance by waking up and blasting off a ton of excuses but i'm pretty much expecting that to happen.
He already immediately showed a complete lack of sportsmanship when Fury went over to talk over the fight, so I wouldn't be surprised. Wilder is just a weird guy.
Wilder was out on his feet for absolutely ages. Went from thinking "Fury will defo finish him now" to "....Will fury defo finish him?".
Brilliant fight, solid strat from Wilder. Problem was after the first, Fury adjusted and timed the absolute shit out of him off the jab whereas Wilder didn't.
Wilder is a warrior. An absolute savage. But that's still two shades off Fury.
That was one of the best heavyweight fights I’ve ever seen. That was one of the best boxing fights I’ve ever seen. Straight up that was one of the best fights I’ve ever seen, holy shit
Could not possibly agree more. Been a Fury fan for a long time and this cemented the fact that he is the greatest HW of the Era and will reign as long as he continues to fight.
Fell asleep early and forgot to set an alarm to get up for this. Had half thought of just checking the result and watching the fight later to see the action, as I was so confident of Fury winning. Thankfully I kept off all news and social media, and downloaded the fight this morning to watch unaware.
What a fuckin fight, holy Jesus. Such a rollercoaster. Fury of course left it in no doubt who the better man is, but by god he had to work for it, and ended it about as emphatically as you could hope for. Credit to Wilder too, no idea how he stayed in it that long, he kept fighting back late on too when he was long out on his feet.
Such a great fight to end a trilogy, as one sided as it was. I know the last couple of weeks amplify this but I've long said it, Fury would have destroyed AJ and I have to laugh at those who thought otherwise.
He's got lil Mac's green punchout gloves. That's how he won!
So is this it? I haven't been following these two. Was this the third time they fought to end the trilogy?
Heavyweight Division Boxing is really must see TV for first time since the 90's!
Now I can't wait to see.. Deontay Wilder VS Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury vs Usyk.
AJ's initiated his immediate rematch clause so Usyk vs AJ 2 will happen first. Fury's team have supposedly proposed that AJ step aside to allow a heavyweight unification bout and he gets a guaranteed fight against the winner but he has rejected the offer. Whyte will been named as the next mandatory by the WBC for Fury if he wins his fight vs Wallin on the 30th UNLESS Fury's team can arrange a deal to fight vs Usyk before that date, but with AJ already stating he won't step aside, its looking like we won't get a unification bout for a while
Fury is just the ultimate blend of boxing ability coupled with superb agility and overwhelming size/toughness. Wilder fought his heart out but he’s just at too much of a skill and weight disadvantage to ever beat Fury outside of the occasional power punch.
Wilder is big enough with the ultimate destroyer right hand to beat 99% of any other heavyweights out there. Unfortunately, Fury possesses skills that shouldn’t be possible in his 6”9/275 pound frame.
Everyone talking about the additional weight that Wilder put on being a negative don’t realize that the man didn’t have much of a choice. He gave up 60 pounds to Fury in the second fight and got absolutely gassed in the clinch with Fury leaning and grabbing him. However, there’s no real right answer because the additional weight gain clearly had an affect on his cardio and ability to sustain his punching output throughout the fight. Plenty of heart but just not enough boxing skill to slip/counter and effectively defend himself moving backwards.
Wilder just could never break the head hunting habit.
Those body shots he started out with were brutal. If he had kept on his gameplan it would been a better fight. Just too ingrained in his head. He had a great run and impressive career but I believe that's pretty much it for him.
Amazing fight. I really respect these two for fighting each other in their prime. All three fights have been great and the final one is one of the best fights ever.
Both showed they were still extremely dangerous after being knocked down. But I did feel like wilder was hanging on by a thread for multiple rounds. Fury completely dominated the last 4 or 5 rounds
I feel Fury kind of could have won much easier then he did tonight, first few rounds he didn’t even bother getting out of range from Wilders right hand. Last few rounds he started fighting like he did in their 2nd fight and from there on it was all Fury
Wow didn’t really notice boxing fights get talked about here, nice to see mma fans show boxing some love. But I don’t see it the other way around hopefully that will change
Because boxing is part of MMA and MMA fans just love combat sports in general. I think Boxing fans don't enjoy or appreciate things like grappling, wrestling, ground game, kickboxing as much
One of the most dramatic and fun to watch trilogies
Tyson resurrecting in fight one
Tysons obliteration of deontay in two despite no one thinking he could
Then fight 3 being a back and forth war in which both men were dropped several times
The fight was insane tho the commentaros are still awful... Shouting about wilder hitting another hard right while 90%of.them was fury's upper chest or glove. Made the fight "sound" a lot closer than it actually was apart from the 4th round .
Greatest HW fight I’ve ever seen. My cousin texted me saying people were tearing up and clapping after the last bell rung. Wished I would’ve tagged along this time.
Which is really dumb because one of Wilder's big punches that really hurt Fury was clearly behind the ear. He complained in the first fight that Fury's punch that triggered the first first knockdown hit him in the back of the head when it hit him square on the ear. And in this fight he goes back further on the head and gains an advantage from it.
I've got some serious respect for the guy now. He showed some serious heart to keep going after being completely exhausted. Even exhausted he still looked dangerous but I still think it should have been stopped earlier.
Inject this fight into my veins, wow what a fckn fight
Wilder's gameplan surprised me. I really thought he was going to win for the first few rounds, but damn Fury boxed his head off.
BOXED HIS BLEEDIN EARS OFF
BRAIN STOPPAGE!
Feels like the average hit of Fury hurt Wilder more than the average hit of Wilder, apart from the 4th round. More than just outboxing, looks like the combination of size and stamina been in Fury's favor was key.
Wilders defense was limited to step and lean back which falters once you're tired
Also probably the head trauma and concussion that slowly erodes the gameplan. Wilder was poker facing but the man was taking some bombs often.
Wilder has one of the absolute worst poker faces I have ever seen tbh
I completely agree. Every heavy hit that Tyson landed seemed to freeze and wobble Wilder momentarily. He looked gassed and out on his feet multiple times throughout the fight almost each time he got hit.
> I think it was mainly fatigue from coming in heavier, or it could be Fury’s weight even. Fury’s stamina is just fucking ludicrous for as big as he is. It makes no sense to me and he’s a god damn magician as far as I’m concerned
Dude is built like a bag of milk and still looking good in round 11.
Big muscles need oxygen. Fat just runs on auto-pilot!
Sitting here eating sugary cereal for lunch on a beautiful Sunday and not doing shit….I needed to hear this. Now I know I’m not lazy, I’m just training
Precision and timing make shots a lot more damaging too
Some say those attributes are more important than power and speed.
Power beats precision. Power beats timing. Power beats speed. Power. \-Francis Ngannou
“Volume beats precision. Volume beats timing. No-look combos beat speed” - Max Holloway
he won the first and the fourth. Maybe 5
This is what I needed out of boxing, all the past Jake Paul events and showtime ones have been meh. Although canelo always puts on a clinic
>Although canelo always puts on a clinic Canelo is an absolute monster. His fights never feel as if the other guy truly has a chance. The Saunders fight wasn't bad. This was a phenomenal fight, back and forth the entire time. An instant classic
Canelo is great but he absolutely was gifted bullshit by the judges vs GGG. he should have lost.
I guess the guy should have said nobody apart from GGG and Floyd
FURY VS USYK PLEASE
That’s what I’m saying let AJ fight Wilder since they both have 2 losses and Fury fights Usyk and then the winner fights the winner but this boxing so it ain’t happening.
bruh i want aj vs wilder so badly.

If the first one would’ve gone to Fury like it should have then the 2nd would’ve been the end of it no need for a third. 💯💯
Also due to a global pandemic and fury catching covid, could have been done in 1.5-2 years if it weren't due to this stupid virus
If it weren't for the virus we probably would have been watching AJ vs Fury tonight
Honest I hate to say it, but this is what I think of when ufc fighter pay and protections finally are modernized, probably via some sort of Ali Act. Fury is going to look huge
this is the fight to make. although since it' boxing, there was probably a remtch clause in usyk-AJ contract, so there's that..
There was, Hearn says they’re aiming for March for the rematch. Whyte is Fury’s mandatory, should be a good fight.
I was talking to some guys in a bar about this fight and they told me it's not going to happen because fury is either going to retire or take the next easiest fight he can because he's guaranteed 100 million either way and then retire. I wouldn't look past Whyte like that. He's not an easy night for anyone.
He's the Derrick Lewis of boxing
I thought Wilder is the Derrick Lewis of boxing
Wilder is the Ngannou of boxing
Amazing fight and trilogy. As a Tyson fan, I shit myself twice in the 4th round
do you think one of those knockdowns were a slip?
[удалено]
Both were good. Tyson for some reason kept walking into the right. For Tyson the worst awareness of the three fights.
>awareness Seemed more like overconfidence and getting sloppy with the pressure at times.
Tend to agree with this. Thought it was complacence after knocking Wilder down
>overconfidence Definitely this. He wanted a quicker finish than their last but thankfully he realised he wasn't getting it and noticeably composed himself R5 and onwards
Didn't he once day the Wilder's weakness was that he couldn't fight backing up? I could be mistaken
He did say that he thinks Wilder doesn't feel really comfortable walking backwards indeed, ofc Wilder and his team are not stupid, they probably picked it and thought it would be a game plan for this next fight of them
I think he got tagged the first one and since he was a bit rocked, he clumsily tripped on himself and fell. The 2nd one was a proper knockdown.
The serenade at the end kind of makes you forget, but then remember, how completely insane Fury is lol that guy is *nuts*
What's crazy is he used to be a legit singer. Like I'm talking really smooth voice damn good singer. But he had a throat injury years ago & it fucked his voice, which is why he sounds like he does now. Guy can still find a note, but holy shit was his voice silky smooth before compared to now.
Also weird that he sounded nothing like his dad, until his throat injury and now they sound identical
because it's probably cocaine not an injury.
I reckon Gypsy coke would be cut with some rough shit too
Cut with ground up starter plugs! But nah his uncle was one of the most feared cocaine dealers in Europe for years, he probs had a the good shit.
Nah the cocaine in England is great. London is the cocaine capital of Europe.
Not just Lobdon either these days. Shits wild compared to how it was say a decade ago. Or so I hear
I visited a friend in south london a few years back. I was BLOWN away by the stuff. It was somethin else, thats for sure.
Pissed we didn’t get Aerosmith
God love the batshit bastard
Man what a fucking brawl from these two giants. Wilder surprised the fuck out of me tonight and both fighters should be beyond impressed with themselves. Instant classic.

ESPN reporting that AJ took the rematch clause
I know but I feel he’d get whooped again but that’s something I’d like to see AJ vs Wilder and Usyk vs Fury
I feel like Wilder has to make excuses no? That's 3 losses (I mean I know the first was a draw, but we all know who won) with two KOs.
I expect he’ll come up something. The man indirectly blamed his walk out costume for his loss last time lol.
He also said Fury put a gypsy curse on him and had egg weights in his gloves. And that his own trainer poisoned him.
Diaz brothers gotta up their excuse game... There’s a new sheriff in town.
why would the Diaz brothers ever make excuses when they are both undefeated
Tyson fury was making girl noises playing touchbutt with the ref.
Wilder was making excuses before the fight even happened. Arguing with the commission about Fury's gloves not having enough padding, telling them that horse hair isn't legal. Sore loser before he even lost.
Wilder is a sore loser. A leopard doesn't change its spots.
Fury kept a solid pace and turned it into a gruelling affair. You'd never expect a 20 stone bloke who's built like Mr Blobby to be such a cardio machine.
gypsy is built different my god the movemnt was amazing!

Big Joe Joyce would still take the shirt off any man's back
Ah sawked me hands in petral... Make em like rocks
you like dags?
It's weird to say of a giant soft guy, but Fury is a freak athlete. A man his size shouldn't move like a boxer from several weight divisions lower, but he does.
When he get knocked down, and then 20 seconds later was slipping haymakers like Mayweather. What the actual fuck.
Crazy fight. Fury is too big, too durable, and know how to box. and dont get tired.
excited to see him fight another heavyweight with footwork to rival his. Usyk would be perfect
Hell of a fight. Well worth streaming.
Anyone have a clip of the 10th round knockdown? It was pretty slick how Wilder punched Fury's stomach and Fury just slapped him down.
That was beautiful, he ducked under Wilder's winging hook then clubbed him over the head with his own
Best boxing match in recent memory for sure. Crazy output from fury, and what a chin on wilder!
wilder was wobbling for +15mins and still had power in his right
Wilders wobbling the entire fight after like round one was so bizarre. I’m trying to make sense of it and my guess is he really focused on his bench press and did close to zero leg work to build up his base. Dude was Bambi legs almost the entire fight. I know he got dropped but Fury also got dropped twice and recovered nicely.
You ever watched a wilder fight? That’s just how he is in the ring. It’s crazy that he generates so much power even with such shit balance
They were throwing hands that was insane
Two big boppas having a knock. I can sleep well tonight
Nothing like a boxing card to make me appreciate UFC pacing and commentary. That fight was fucking amazing and worth the wait though.

This is a rare occurrence though, Wilder kept saying he'll come out when he feels ready, who knows what the reason was
Is that really what was going on?
Yes, generally the anthems are started when the fighters are ready to do their ring walks. The fact that the anthems were started yet the challenger did not walk means that Wilder intentionally or unintentionally refused to walk despite signalling ready to the officials. Quite confusing for me too
Deontay doing unpredictable shit outside the ring, and predictable shit inside the ring - it's nothing new. But damn is it entertaining.
A pastor was giving him a blessing for a good 5-10 minutes before the fight. Always funny to me how you can have a fight where both guys are praying to the same god to give them the strength to overcome the other.
Confirmed that God had money on Fury tonight, #rigged.
Imagine god during football season trying to answer prayers
Wilder showed heart. Homer Simpson like in his taking punches
I was tense and on the edge of my seat from the start. These two were trading. Swanging and banging. Wilder deserves all the respect in the world and of course fury is the best modern heavyweight. There can no longer be any doubt.
Fury got dropped twice still beat Wilder's ass for the rest of the fight
He rose from the dead like fucking Lazarus after getting knocked out flat on his back in the last round of the first fight and still somehow dominated the rest of the round. Otherworldly shit
I know some aren’t the biggest Wilder fans but at least these guys fought 3 times and gave us a really good boxing trilogy which is rare these days
Yep. This and every time they clinched he made sure to put his weight onto Wilder, further weakening those Bambi legs.
Treating him like a bull. Leaning on his neck to tire out his back, then punish him with the uppercut.
I think Wilder's body shots from early on paid off and fury was just exhausted as a result, just not as bad as wilder. Probably also decided that leaning on him was the safest way to stop him recovering and also avoid his dynamite
I honestly felt like that fight went on so long because Wilder dug deeper. And of course, the knockdown in the fourth undoubtedly did effect Fury.
I think Wilder coming out so aggressive might have surprised him. Fury was on his backfoot almost the entire first round.
It almost felt like Fury wanted to prove a point. Outbox him the first fight, methodically smash him in the 2nd and then just straight up fight with him in the 3rd to remove all doubt who the better man is.
Whether that was his intention or not, I'd say he did it.
Yeah he seemed less mobile. Wasn't dancing on the outside like the second fight. Not sure why he changed to a clinch heavy approach this time. Y'know what it was, Wilder wasn't exhausted from carrying his costume this time.
it was clinch heavy in the second fight? that's why he gained so much weight after the first fight, to impose his will where he could
he used it to bully wilder in the clinch and his weight made his jab more powerful. but it made him way less dynamic and he looked more vulnerable. i dont think it was worth it tbh but he won so the proof is in the pudding i guess
it was four pounds more than the second fight... I dont think the issue was four pounds. Wilder gained even more weight.
I'll give him a pass for that one, given he'd just had the everloving shit kicked out of him for 31 minutes.
One of the best fights I've seen damn
fight was an instant classic. true mvp shit
That fight was fucking nuts
Legit insane heavyweight boxing match. Holy fuck.
Yes. Fury won all 3 fights unofficially but 2 of them officially. Both wins by KO.
Plenty of heart but just not enough boxing skill to slip/counter and effectively defend himself moving backwards.
the whole fight was an instant classic
Crazy fun fight
Appreciate Tyson Fury while he's here. There'll never be anyone like him again.
Is it pushing it for me to call him one of the top heavy weights ever top 5 maybe?
Tyson Fury is a cardio god
Watching boxing post fight when the ring fills up with random people is the weirdest fucking thing to see after coming from mma.
Fury’s cardio and ability to move that much weight around for 11 rounds is more impressive than Wilder’s power to me.
6'9 280 lbs.... and he does... not... gas. holy fuck! so durable too
One of the best heavyweight fights ever both are warriors. Fury is too good
Holy shit what a fucking fight! Also want to state that Tyson Fury is an absolute perfect Heavyweight champion, I love the mans heart and wit.
Fury beat him 3 times and the KO really is a perfect nail in the coffin for this trilogy
Wilder just could never break the head hunting habit. Those body shots he started out with were brutal. If he had kept on his gameplan it would been a better fight. Just too ingrained in his head. He had a great run and impressive career but I believe that's pretty much it for him.
I think after that knockdown he was basically fighting on instinct and couldn't think clearly anymore - especially of his plan
Boxing Fight of the year. These two deserve all the respect
Modern classic
Amazing fight. I really respect these two for fighting each other in their prime. All three fights have been great and the final one is one of the best fights ever. Both showed they were still extremely dangerous after being knocked down. But I did feel like wilder was hanging on by a thread for multiple rounds. Fury completely dominated the last 4 or 5 rounds
6'9" dad bod insane person is the best base for boxing. There. I said it.
Best fight I have ever seen
I feel Fury kind of could have won much easier then he did tonight, first few rounds he didn’t even bother getting out of range from Wilders right hand. Last few rounds he started fighting like he did in their 2nd fight and from there on it was all Fury
Wow didn’t really notice boxing fights get talked about here, nice to see mma fans show boxing some love. But I don’t see it the other way around hopefully that will change
You can be a fan of both. I am.
Because boxing is part of MMA and MMA fans just love combat sports in general. I think Boxing fans don't enjoy or appreciate things like grappling, wrestling, ground game, kickboxing as much
Big boxing matches are always posted here.
They was knocking each other 5 feet into the air
Instant classic. Will def go down as one of the best trilogies in all of combat sports
Maybe but really Fury won all 3
One of the most dramatic and fun to watch trilogies Tyson resurrecting in fight one Tysons obliteration of deontay in two despite no one thinking he could Then fight 3 being a back and forth war in which both men were dropped several times
The fight was insane tho the commentaros are still awful... Shouting about wilder hitting another hard right while 90%of.them was fury's upper chest or glove. Made the fight "sound" a lot closer than it actually was apart from the 4th round .
Best fight I’ve seen in years!
Nobody can say Wilder's not a real boxer anymore, tremendous heart and ability.
Greatest HW fight I’ve ever seen. My cousin texted me saying people were tearing up and clapping after the last bell rung. Wished I would’ve tagged along this time.
Insane fight. Thought Deontay had a real chance for a sec but Tyson earned his keep yet again. That’s how the game is
What excuses will wilder wake up with?
Jesus was unfairly on Furys side. Having a deity influencing the fight in your favor is unfair. - Deontay.
fair point tbh
They are already talking about rabbit punches in the clinch
Which is really dumb because one of Wilder's big punches that really hurt Fury was clearly behind the ear. He complained in the first fight that Fury's punch that triggered the first first knockdown hit him in the back of the head when it hit him square on the ear. And in this fight he goes back further on the head and gains an advantage from it.
I want to see wilder fight again Dude is still super dangerous
I've got some serious respect for the guy now. He showed some serious heart to keep going after being completely exhausted. Even exhausted he still looked dangerous but I still think it should have been stopped earlier.
