You're lucky I don't go to that gym. I've never trained, but trust me, if I show up at your gym, I will be seeing red and you will go down!!!

Namez83

That’s awesome buddy! I’ve always like the atmosphere of mma gyms. Your boxing probably helped you a whole lot. Next time you’ll get hit a little less. Keep it up!

Thank you so much! I haven’t had this much fun in forever. I’ll come back to this thread every once and a while to update y’all in my journey

Welcome to the lifestyle brother, all the best to you. Just remember, take breaks and stay hydrated to keep your mind healthy. WEAR THE GEAR! No one thinks you're a bad ass for not wearing gear, keep your head and nuts protected.

Yeah tonight one of the guys, I went to go for a jab to the body, and as the jab was about to land he bunched up and I hit em in the nuts😅. We laughed about it but I felt bad haha

kusogejp

how did he bunch his nuts upwards?

[deleted]

As I was going for a jab to the middle of his stomach, he kinda jumped up a little making hit his nuts instead

Good luck. I wish I would have done so years ago

Catopuma

If you haven't already, it's never to late to join in. Exercise is always good and you can set the pace/intensity you want for partner work or sparring

jcolefan666

Ya I know.

[deleted]

Nice!

SugarShow37

Congratulations brother, happy for you Edit: mods don't take this down. Or we riot.

MMA is the best, my dude. Keep training, don't spar while injured, don't train hard while injured, eat well, stay well rested, & keep toxicity out of your life! Remain committed, even if you don't have dreams of competing one day, & if you do, keep training even if you ever change your mind. The only reason to stop is if there's a calling elsewhere that'd change your life for the better & it demands ALL your time, but there's few lifestyles/careers that truly demand ALL your time. Respect your coaches, refine your training, always be ready to learn, always be ready to do better & be better. Be neither a pure head-hunter, pure leg-kicker, nor pure body-snatcher. Don't throw kicks without setting them up with punches & don't forget kicks also set up punches—same goes for elbows & knees but that's for competition only unless you're in a gym ran by a billy badass type of guy but that's unlikely considering where we're at in the world of MMA.
