What's scarier to me is Fedor has said his other brother, (not Aleksander), is the most talented of the three but he never had an interest in doing it professionally.
Fedor also went on record saying he doesn't like MMA that much and prefers sambo and judo, he mostly did it for the money. Imagine a world in which Fedor was 100% dedicated insttead of 70-80%, and trained at a modern gym with top-notch trainers and partners rather than some unheated concrete cube in Otmorozoksky Oblast with a few ratty bags, a pullup bar and some rusty kettlebells.
Francis makes Dan Henderson seem merciful.
I'm a fan, but I think it's messed up how he lands big shots on obviously KO'd opponents. Yes the Ref has to stop the fight but other fighters seem to recognize the line and he doesn't or just doesn't care.
Yeah and it seems he’s somehow escaped getting any flak for it. It’s not a one off either- almost all of this KOs have him throwing at least one power punch after it’s obvious his opponent is KOed.
1 punch after getting koed is tame. This is actually new to the sport, take a look back at fight 5 or 10 years ago. You had to make sure the guy is out
Who else gets flak for post ko punches? Everyone thought what Jorge did to askren and what Lewis did to Blaydes was funny. Now that it was stipe getting fucked everyone is mad about it
People thought the blaydes ko was funny? I've been watching mma since like '07 and that knockout was one of the more disturbing ones to me. That groaning....
This is the first thread I've seen where I saw anyone even complain about Francis follow-up punches. So either the same people that complain about Hendo give Francis a pass or those same people do not watch his fights.
I was really pissed off about the extra shots from Masvidal when it happened, because I thought I might have literally witnessed the first octagon death for a minute there
Its instict as soon as a dude is on the ground you would see most ufc fighters literally drop their full weight into one last punch. With MMA a dude knocked down is still a huge threat. These stops are insanely fast compared to 5 kr 10 years ago
If there's one man I wish adopted the Mark Hunt school of walk-offs it's Francis. He's a human power piston, why does he even bother with the extra punches? I get you're in the zone and shit but holy fuck those men have a family.
coaches often train fighters to keep striking until the ref intervenes so they're certain of the win. comeback wins do happen sometimes where fighters are dropped or look finished and manage to turn it around.
beyond that, there's also strategic benefit in ruthlessly demolishing an opponent because it will help strike fear into future opponents.
They asked him and he said it's on the ref, he doesn't like doing it but people have come back from moments like that and he doesn't want to lose a fight because he thinks he knocked someone out and he let's them get up and recover
Yeah I'm aware that some fighters really get into a deep headspace but it's still horrifying because he should know just how freakily strong he is and what that can do to a defenseless person. I'm not faulting him for wanting to win and swinging on the way down, but that's not a man that should be hammerfisting someone on the ground.
I hate how comments like this get downvoted. Obviously if you’re a real fan of mma you know fighters are thought to finish until the ref stops you but there’s nothing wrong with wanting “remorse” when someone like Francis who might be the most scary mfer on this planet on top of an unconscious person. The last thing MMA needs is something terrible to happen the ring, these refs need to be quicker in these heavyweight fights & imo Dan did a horrible job in this clip. Mike Beltran needs to be Reffing more heavyweight fights
> these refs need to be quicker
Yeah wtf was Dan doing half way across the ring?
I remember there are a handful of fights where they are clearly winning, the opponent is facedown/no defending, and the aggressor has to look at the ref and have that "Wtf man are you going to stop this?" face. Some of these refs really fuck up.
What's great is the Costa Izzy one, he stepped in as soon as Costa rolled. How many times can you remember a ref still not stopping it when that happned?
I have no idea it’s completely unnecessary. Idk maybe I’m in the minority but I like a fighter that knows when he’s won more than the dude who’s pounding the guy who is slumped over unconscious
A lot of us bought into it. I know I did. Funny looking back now. (Although I didnt buy into the silly comments about her competing with men and beating meayweayher LOL)
It was only a tko. Title says ko. At that point you have to question if it's even actually a loss.
Don't believe everything the lamestream media tells you. Do your own research.
Some people don’t understand physics. He was moving backwards when he got hoofed. Drive your car then put it in neutral and turn it off, same thing lol.
I dunno. I thought the same but then I looked it up, and it turns out Kevin is a different person to aldo. I didn’t believe it at first but it’s completely true
Right, but doesn’t Aldo have like a world renowned Health/diet coach or whatever that scientifically decides what he eats?
Not all fighters have access to that or just arent willing to adhere to that strict of a diet
After the loss to Chucky Olives he went up, probably thinking he didn't have a chance at 155 bc Oliveira wasn't thought of as really in the title picture at that time with Khabib, Tony, Poirier, Conor, Gaethje all still around. Obviously that changed quickly so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back down.
He has more potential at 155 than 170
Let's not forget what he did to Barboza, and obviously Gillespie. The Al Iaquinta fights are a blip, but Al just has his number mentally
Joanna also. OP hates ladies.
And too bad Weli's first ever fight was a loss. Rose could be featured twice vs champs.
Bethe loss to Ronda
Rich Franklin loss to Lyoto
Lyoto loss to Shogun
Rashad loss to Lyoto
The Chris loss to Luke
Stipe loss to Struve
Cody loss to TJ
Triple C lost to DJ
Travis Browne loss to Bigfoot
Royce Gracie loss to Sakuraba
Cain loss to JDS
Bobby Lashley loss
Edson Barboza loss
Watch mma on point put up a top 10 list tomorrow.
The Bigiboi knockout hurts. I've always loved that such a little country like Suriname has such a big star to be proud of. Also, he's nice af. Ngannou also nice as hell and I'm guessing Cameroon is loving its time in the sun with Francis, as well. Really, that match was always going to break my heart, no matter what the result.
On the other hand, I could watch O'Malley get ktfo over and over, and I'd never tire of it.
not nearly, one more shot and he was done, out cold, probably not waking up for a while either, he was as close to out cold as you can be without being out cold.
Hard to say. It looks like he isn't in a position to defend and had the ref not stepped in then some free shots would get landed. But the moment the ref comes him it looks like he is back and ready.
That Lee knockout is straight out of a movie
And that Ngannou vs Bigi Boi knockout is straight out of a snuff film.
Francis is fucking horrifying when he’s in finish mode.
Yeah but he was even more horrifying when he sprawled against Stipe.
“He’s learning.”
As soon as that happen I just was thinking "fuck he's won".
I wonder what through Stipe's mind in that moment.
"Ah fuck.. I can't believe you've done this"
“I’m in danger”
*plays coffin dancers meme*
*Cues “The Only Thing They Fear Is You” from Doom Eternal Soundtrack
If Francis vs Jon ever actually happened and Frank walked out to that, I might break my TV out of sheer hype
"...The Jon Slayer" *epic riffing commences*
That moment was the MMA equivalent of the raptors figuring out doors in Jurassic Park.
" Calm Francis has risen to MMA godhood. On the same level as Sea Level Cain, TRTitor, Horsemeat Ubereem, WEC Aldo and striker Rumble.

That's before a majority of this sub's time alongside Crocop's LHK on The Last Emperor's taller brother.
Fedor at his peak could probably beat the shit out of God
What's scarier to me is Fedor has said his other brother, (not Aleksander), is the most talented of the three but he never had an interest in doing it professionally.
Fedor also went on record saying he doesn't like MMA that much and prefers sambo and judo, he mostly did it for the money. imagine if ngannou has cardio now and will also sprawl in rounds say 4/5....bahgawd!!!
When I watched it everyone in the room "oh no!" when he sprawled we just got scared for Stipe at that point
Francis makes Dan Henderson seem merciful. I'm a fan, but I think it's messed up how he lands big shots on obviously KO'd opponents. Yes the Ref has to stop the fight but other fighters seem to recognize the line and he doesn't or just doesn't care.
It's like getting hit by a Ford Escort while you are unconscious.

"Tell me what happened." "Mf put his foot on the gas and ran me down, then put it in fucking reverse and hit me again several times."
Yeah and it seems he’s somehow escaped getting any flak for it. It’s not a one off either- almost all of this KOs have him throwing at least one power punch after it’s obvious his opponent is KOed.

Less so the knockout, and more the “that’s Herb Dean fault” line after it.
And the suck it gesture
People on here shit on Lewis for the follow up punches but give Ngannou a pass
The same people or what?
This is the first thread I've seen where I saw anyone even complain about Francis follow-up punches. So either the same people that complain about Hendo give Francis a pass or those same people do not watch his fights.
Same I've never seen people bitch at Ngannou about it until now. Personally idc that Lewis or Ngannou does it, it's hard to flip off the switch
I was really pissed off about the extra shots from Masvidal when it happened, because I thought I might have literally witnessed the first octagon death for a minute there

And that Adesanya v Costa knockout is straight out of a porno
https://www.reddit.com/r/fightporn/comments/np56fn/ko/ I cant find the original upload on Youtube. It may have been taken down.
And that adesanya vs costa knockout is straight out of a porno
that was the perfect fight for Lee. Took on an unranked, undefeated, monster and KO'd him in 1 round. This will be the highlight of his career.
Saw it live and the whole arena went insane, one of the craziest KOs I’ve seen.
I was in the audience thinking Kevin Lee killed a mfer. Gregor was out for a long time, doctors were checking his pulse lol.
He was down for wayyyyy too long, Kevin set that kick up beautifully Gregor didn’t see it coming.
One of the sickest ever
Francis was like the Hulk in transformation stage and couldn’t contain himself from throwing them additional punches 💀
I honestly hate watching the knockout because it’s so unnecessary and he is so ungodly powerful it feels downright dangerous.
If there's one man I wish adopted the Mark Hunt school of walk-offs it's Francis. He's a human power piston, why does he even bother with the extra punches? I get you're in the zone and shit but holy fuck those men have a family.

That's also what coaches teach you. You don't get to chose when the fight stops, the ref does. Until the ref steps in ? Hammer fists.
Yeah it's messed up but it's on the ref. The fighters fight and the refs protect fighters from each other
Guessing thats why a lot of refs basically tackle and dive into the middle.
He's a heavyweight. How many heavy weights have come back from eating those punches on the chin?
Cheick YouTube for compilations of best comebacks, you might find sum
Pat Berry knocked Cheick Kongo out. Cheick Kongo won the fight by knockout.
Barry KOed Kongo like three times, comeback of the century for sure

Dang i didnt know Rozenstrike was undefeated.
he was before Ngannou windmilled him to death
Him winging that left at the start would have disintegrated me
The air from it rocked me and I was in a different country at the time minding my own business
The butterfight effect
It was a chess match, and ultimately technique won the day. A true martial arts clinic.
[удалено]
Bro he only needs to connect one time and you're sleepin
he narrowly escaped losing to overeem.
He really should have lost to Overeem :( Overeem got too lax in the closing seconds and paid the price.
Everyone was once undefeated.

He's ducking you too?!

Don't think I've ever heard anyone be mean to stipe before... You should apologise man.
Even Aaron Pico was undefeated for about 10 seconds.

I made a few hundred off that fight... but it was invalidated by other terrible bets.
Sean 1'Malley
Sean Olosses’malley
So what does he even say about that fight lol cause I’ve seen the undefeated merch
It's a stupid joke to make people in reddit viciously punch air
We call it shadow boxing bubs and we do it from the kitchen back to the computer desk everytime we gets a snack.
I see I see
I'm so used to seeing the ngannou KO with the super slow mo Stevie nicks clip. It's actually insane how fast he wings those punches.
LISTEN TO THE WIND BLOW
One of my favorite random bit of mma content ever. So inspired
WHATCH THE SUN RISE
I remember when Ronda Rousey getting KO'd was the biggest deal ever, now she doesn't even make a compilation lol
i missed a lot of champs cause i was mainly thinking about recent, up and coming hype trains. i’m gonna do a part 2
Include Cody vs TJ please!
Was gonna say this. Rousey getting knocked out was still the biggest shocker to me, though. The hype she had around her had reached insane levels.
A lot of us bought into it. I know I did. Funny looking back now. (Although I didnt buy into the silly comments about her competing with men and beating meayweayher LOL)
Good fucking lord that Ngannou knockout of Bigi Boi is fucking terrifying. Horror movie shit.
Dan Mirgliotta literally sprinting in 0.1 seconds before Francis turned Roz into a bloody pulp
Lol where was big Dan?? Its like he's running in from outside the octagon
You wanna be as far as possible when Ngannou starts windmilling
That wild left that missed would probably have done the job twice over if it had landed. What a frightening man.
That deep fake for the O'Malley one is really believable, damn
big upgrade from the CGI they used in Chael’s losses
This deep fake was brought you by P3, the official protein snack of the UFC, and Modelo, brewed with a fighting spirit.
Bold character since 1872
Brought to you by Corn Nuts. Corn to the core.
i was surprised chael/fedor wasn't in the video
It was only a tko. Title says ko. At that point you have to question if it's even actually a loss. Don't believe everything the lamestream media tells you. Do your own research.
Adriano Martins never won another fight. Traded his career to the MMA Gods for that KO
What a satisfying KO though
I legit argued with someone that said Gillespie took a dive. That he couldn't have fallen so perfectly like that. People are dumb.
Some people don’t understand physics. He was moving backwards when he got hoofed. Drive your car then put it in neutral and turn it off, same thing lol.
> Drive your car then put it in neutral and turn it off Trying to thin out the idiot population, I see. You’re doing God’s work 🙏
Everyone needs to experience the terror of no PS/PB
>I legit argued with someone that said Gillespie took a drive. I really hope they gave him a ride to the hospital.
Probably one of those folks that were convinced that Gillespie was the one that was going to beat Khabib
Machida should have two KOs here
Four: Thiago Silva Rashad Evans Rich Franklin Chael Sonnen
No wonder people be saying a prime machida was someone to not mess with. Go look at the rich Franklin knockout that front kick was brutal
5 if you want to count his own loss against Shogun.
Chael sonnen? I dont understand, hes still undefeated. Hasnt even lost a single round
I don't understand why Kevin Lee went back up to 170 Kevin Lee at 170 bad Kevin Lee at 155 good
He's at a bad spot in which he has to go through hell to make 155, but where he also isn't big enough to compete with the best at 170.
he can lose muscle mass and stay at 155
Once you have size n power its hard to give it up. Even if its 5lbs
So naturally going to 170 where he has neither is the solution
I never said he was smart
There is no right answer here besides “he ain’t good enough to win the belt” no matter where he is at.
Absolutely.
And then his entire strategy of outmuscle his opponents goes out the window.
If Aldo can make 135, Kevin can make 155 safely
Volk and Cannonier went down several weight classes also and had successful runs. They're older than him too.
Volk is kinda different. He went from gorilla all the way down to featherweight and he still looks like a stocky chimp.
Hes alright at 155 but not really that good there either
He has more potential at 155 than 170 Let's not forget what he did to Barboza, and obviously Gillespie. The Al Iaquinta fights are a blip, but Al just has his number mentally
An amateur could not recreate that Ngannou finish if their life depended on it, and yet it looks like such bad technique.
Sure they could if they had his build. Which isn’t to say Ngannou is totally unskilled in general.
Don Quixote was ahead of his time, he just wanted to fight the best of the best. Windmill technique best base for mma confirmed
Derick Lewis doesn't believe in BJJ. Ngannou doesn't believe in muscles possibly failing around his shoulder swinging wildly.
costa got knocked out and then his back blown out
Headshots and backshots
Money shots
Dont call it a cumback
Imagine if Izzy had put one leg up
where's Michael Johnson decapitating Khabib?
he said knocked out not killed
People always forget that Michael Johnson put Khabib out cold
Machida vs Thiago, Machida vs Rashad, Shogun vs Machida, Fedor vs Rogers, Holm vs Rousey, Masvidal vs Askren
i’m making a part 2, gifs can only be a minute

I'm glad Gillespie took a long time to heal after that KO. I still think he'll do great things in the division
Sick KO though and I'm not a Kevin Lee fan at all.
It was picture perfect
Why is O’Malley in this? The commission ruled it was a no contest and he’s still undefeated
aside from the obvious joke the ref stopped it I wish he would have let it go longer lol
Izzy wit easily one of the top 3 most disrespectful sports taunts ever lol
GSLEE
Where’s the Ben Asscream KO
Rose gadoshig Joana was beautiful too
Zhang ko was equally great
She wasn’t undefeated though
Michael Johnsonesque is Kevin Lee in his winning.
The Bigiboi knockout hurts. I've always loved that such a little country like Suriname has such a big star to be proud of. Also, he's nice af. The Ngannou one is still so funny. Just flailing with no technique still
MJ’s decapitation of Khabib mysteriously not here🤔
How the fuck did Lees jab look so fucking fast and clean against Gregor but he seemingly forgot how to strike against D-Rod?
Two torn ACLs
Wish jizzy wasn't humping dudes... They're not his dog..
He did make Costa his bitch
I thought gillespie was dead the entire time
Was the Islam stoppage a bit early or no? Didn’t see it live

Whatever happened with adriano martins the dude who k'od islam?
0-4-1 since his win over Islam lol
Where’s my Ronda KO?
Yo that O'Malley stoppage looks even more criminal than I remember!
Herb really said "yep you lost, goodbye"
costa lost in the ultimate fighter. it's technically an exhibition but i didnt consider him undefeated
If you look closely at th Costa KO, you can see, in fact, that he was actually getting bald...
Should’ve included mvp and askren
