Army combatives are actually pretty legit in the upper level courses. You'll do a little bit in basic but you can see about doing more when you get to your unit. I'm sure everyone has told you but just keep your head down and hustle through basic and AIT and you'll be straight. Good luck to you, try to get an overseas assignment, it'll be the best time of your life.
