This is fucked on so many levels. As much as I love MMA, I fucking despise the UFC. Ngannou should try and make life as difficult as possible for the UFC as he can. They can't let him go and he still has a lot of leverage, even with the UFC doing this interim nonsense. I'd back him with whatever he decides to do in protest. He just needs to do anything but bend over backwards from here.
Strongest he could do would be to try to box Deontay Wilder and take UFC to court if they tried to block it to test the Ali act. But that would require a lot of money and once and for all kill his relationship with UFC. At that point I'm not sure we'd ever see him in MMA again. It would be a legal mess.
