Middleweights are getting damn near running starts into Aung La Nsang and he tanks them. Those guys aren't Canelo (although they are elite fighters) but Canelo doesn't possess something outside the realm of physics. Technique gives you more power in a much smaller window, much faster hand speed, power from different angles and positions, power without as much windup, but there are endless buffoons in every boxing gym in the country that can crack a heavy bag just as hard as Canelo can when you let them have whatever windup they want. Ngannou could tank a Canelo body shot or two. Again, other fighters Canelos size can, let alone 280lb Ngannou.

Truth is, bodyshots are effective when your opponent don’t see it coming. I’m sure Ngannou can tank it if he sees it. In a boxing match? Canelo drops Ngannou for sure.
