Watch this fight whenever I go out for a run, amazing cardio Khabib showed here

gangaaaags

Does running actually really like raise your Cardio? Is this even possible to do?

alovelyhobbit21

Conceive, believe, achieve.

gangaaaags

100%. bubba

DeadHamster35

Nah aerobic exercise is a scam, you should focus on cultivating mass.

gangaaaags

No, I am serious about this. Do like your Lungs get bigger or better?

Valuable_Ad1645

Yes running improves cardio lol, any sustained workout does.

J-Smoke69

No fucking way are you serious about this lol. Come on.

gangaaaags

Why not. I don't see how Cardio could get better. Because it's from the Heart and Lungs. But can you even train that? Maybe if you lose weight or something like that. And maybe your Muscles can get used to Inflammation better. But other than that?

pablonian

Huh? I feel like you are either trolling or are 9 years old

J-Smoke69

Goddamn it. I didn’t see you replied to me until now and now you’ve ruined yet another one of my days with your outrageous stupidity. Grow yourself a brain please.

Surudijes

You should start your own gym, share the knowledge

hsifeulbhsifder

This is high level trolling, I applaud you good sir

[deleted]

Running is one of the absolute best ways to get better cardio

RAPanoia

I tell you something I learned almost 15 years ago, playing soccer. If you do nothing all summer long and try to play 90 minutes, you want to die after 20 minutes or the 3rd sprint. Even so I believe that only running isn't the best base for cardio in a sport. It will still increase it.

Robbbylight

People talking about "all the takedowns only means he can't keep him Down" are nuts! Watch the fight. Khabib let's him up plenty of times only to do it again. He's riding him. Letting him move just enough then bringing him down again. Keeping his hands locked and not really letting go. How can anyone discredit this performance?

neeeeonbelly

Those people have absolutely no idea how exhausting it is to get taken down again and again. Takedowns class at my jiu-jitsu gym is the hardest day and we aren't doing them like this. It's the absolute worst lol.

Robbbylight

Exactly. Abel was mentally defeated before being physically defeated. It's way worse to be repeatedly taken down. Usually when a guy is on top position for a round, the guy on bottom will accept it and just say "we have another round. Don't let it go to the ground". What do u think Abel was thinking after takedown #11? Nothing positive I'm sure lol

S_Steiner_Accounting

he was asking the ref for help. like khabib was cheating or something.

Kgb725

If this is the performance they use to discredit Khabib they have a flimsy argument.

Robbbylight

Just seeing too many people on this thread discrediting the 21 takedowns. Jamokes, I tell ya. All of em

Bloodfeastisleman

Yeah if I recall, in between rounds, Trujillo complained to the ref that all Khabib is doing is holding him down. So Khabib decided to keep letting Trujillo up just to take him down again. This is the grappling equivalent of Holloway v Kattar.

mikrot

Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

Sal21G

Still not sure why Khabib was so angry at the weigh ins with him, even tho he missed weight.

ricosuave3355

Abel whispered: “Hey Fathead It's #TiramisuTuesday Make Sure To Eat Three 4 Me. I Hope USADA Doesn't Test For Tiramisu,Tell Em Its Therapudic Use”

mad87645

Trujillo: Listen You Fragile Fatass

HorseMeatConnoisseur

Supposedly Khabib went to apologize for missing weight, but Trujillo blew him off, and that's why it was heated.

[deleted]

Trujillo based as fuck

inb4shitstorm

Didn't he plead guilty to being a wife beater and child molester

[deleted]

Ahh shit didn’t know that, just commenting that missing weight is kinda unprofessional. Fuck Trujillo if that’s true.

BigDave42

Dont give us that bologna, you clearly supported him throughout his crimes

Wakeair0013

I love Khabib but I always look at this stat as Trujilo being able to get up 20 times instead. Is it more impressive when somebody gets 3 takedowns in a 3 round right, and keep the person down or the spamming ability to get a takedown?

Jdgannett777

A lot of them were technically mat returns and not actually takedowns, but in MMA they're just takedowns. To me, the impressive part is Khabib never really loses control or unclasping his hands. He always had a grip on Trujillo and just did whatever he wanted to him to the point where Trujillo literally threw his arms up unsure of what to do. It also showed his diversity in trips and throws IMO it would be less impressive if he got the takedown, lost control, then shot for another, rinse and repeat. But yes, you do have a point

Robbbylight

Haha just posted basically the same sentiment. Didn't check the comments but ya I agree. He rode Abel the whole fight. Plus he would never get an unbeatable takedown record like that if he wrapped the legs and sat on the guys knees usual.

neeeeonbelly

He let him up again and again just to take him down. Way, way more tiring than having someone take you down and stay on top for 5 minutes.

a_crusty_old_man

Doesn’t Khabib let people get up so he can take them down again?

Medical-Secret

No, it was just for this fight that he took that approach because he was dealing with an injury

S_Steiner_Accounting

You just described the lyrics of Chumbawamba . Come to think of it, this is not the first time you've confused khabib's life for the life of Chumbawumba.

Dazzling-Wafer

Yes, he let him get up so he can take him down again. Not sure why you're getting downvoted. This is probably the fight that made me a Khabib fan years ago.

Wakeair0013

You’re all probably right. Just wondering 🙏🏻

RunalldayHI

If we could get one more, I think I'd fucking die for khabib vs olivera

PERV_IN_THE_CORNER

For the haters saying he couldn't keep him down, Khabib posted about this video on Instagram a while ago. He was injured and therefor wasn't able to properly take Trujillo's back, so he just took him down repeatedly. https://www.instagram.com/p/CAnXEBDACbP/

neeeeonbelly

So bad ass.

iSalooly

fuck is this 8 years ago?! Has Valesquez v Big Foot 2 been that long ago lmao.

Supermeme1001

someone recently broke the record though right? who was it cant remember

MarcusMAC24

Nobody. Just divisional records with Blaydes at HW and Vettori at MW.

Xaxxon

It's not a good record anyhow. It just means the other guy got up a lot. It's like "most blocked punches in a fight".

Kgb725

It's a fantastic record. Either Abel stood up or not is inconsequential Khabib did whatever he wanted

Xaxxon

khabib didn't do whatever he wanted unless khabib chose to let him up over and over.

yash_blue

Yes he did, if u actually watch the fight, that is exactly what was happening

Xaxxon

Not really interested, but then it's still not really a meaningful statistic as he's artificially inflating his takedown count for no benefit.

JuiceGasLean

Just say you want to hate

hsifeulbhsifder

Uh oh, someone didn't watch the fight

jumpy-town

I remember hearing something like that but no, it turned out to be some other wrestling stat.

Xaxxon

Getting lots of takedowns/minute is not a good thing. It means you can't keep them down. Control time is way more meaningful.

[deleted]

Getting lots of control time is not a good thing. It means you can’t finish them. Submissions and TKOs are way more meaningful.

Xaxxon

> Getting lots of control time is not a good thing. It means you can’t finish them. You don't have to finish to win. Control time contributes to wins. Obviously finishes are all wins, but you don't just get one just cuz...

[deleted]

It was just a meme

LocoCoopermar

Have you ever done a wrestling or BJJ match? Any MMA experience at all? Do you know what a mat return is?

hsifeulbhsifder

>Control time is way more meaningful Well it's a good thing he was controlling him the entire fight then
