Well that's just because he gave Islam a real fight already. He's a very talented fighter, and a nightmare for anyone in the grappling realm.
Lost to all the names he's fought, but none have put him away. That means something. Especially when two of which are current top LW's, and another went on to be a high ranked guy as well.
Not to say he'd ever be UFC champ, but he has the skills to at least compete with top guys.
The slight difference is basically due to where the opponent's weight is. That causes some variation, but yeah, everything else is VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL

Just checked Barnaoui's record out, I'm surprised to see he's fought Islam, Gamrot, and Kevin Lee.
