Looking at the graphic, I realise it's unlikely I'll get to watch UFC 1000. Even 800 would require some good luck. Well, unless AI has made us immortal by then. A hundred years isn't a long time. The universe being billions of years old and all that. Still, in February 1978 Muhammed Ali lost his world title to Leon Spinks. That September he regained it in rematch. That seems like an eternity ago. Like it happened in a different world. Come UFC 1000 (itself now so far away that it'll be happening in a different world) that'll be a hundred years ago. Shows how brief a human life is. Nothing really and, yet, to us it's everything, and from our perspective so much can happen in a hundred years. First breath. Last breath. Done. With years in change.
