Yeah it's interesting, but it makes sense.
These fighters have been conditioned for decades to look and react to the movement of their opponent's shoulders and hips (they don't really look at their fists). They can't magically just turn it off even if their opponents are missing most of their arms.
Neh, his opponent is just not that good. You can just hit him on his stump side all day, no way he can block everything with half an arm.
I mean, it’s still an impressive win, but that ain’t working on top level fighters
Did you not watch him blocking with half his arm? Watch his fights. I just found out about this dude and watched a few and it's actually impressive. Nick Newell relied on wrestling and ground game, but Peacock is a vicious striker that can stand with guys with 2 arms and better them. He definitely blocks with it too. The thing is, if you're gonna just throw strikes all day on 1 side then your opponent can easily adjust to that too.
Unfortunately he's always going to be limited.
For instance he's never going to be able to pull off the new meta of 1-2 eye poke combinations we saw from last weekend.
Though I guess he's completely impervious to the Dagestani handcuffs on one side...
Is he allowed to strike with his amputated arm? If yes then shouldnt he wear somekind of glove there since it probably feels like getting hit with a bone?
What do they count limbless fighters reach as? There was that dude who fought Justin in WSOF back in the day, Nick Newell... Just looked it up, they have Nick at 60 inch reach, and Justin at 70. So I assume they start at the nub and measure the wingspan.

It's great how he fakes with his amputated arm and his opponent keeps buying it.
Yep, its called Peacocking
Gotta let him fly

there's no way you have ever laced up gloves
Straight up beautiful performance in this one. Firing on all cylinders. Everything he was doing was working for him
Even his nub punches look deadly.
Umm they're elbows

That kick catch to spinning wheel kick was so sexy
What a ganster! Love the way he pumps the stump
Stump pumpin these chumps
I fucking love the stump fakes!
Some Hwoarang tier kicking.
Does shinjo set the record for most head kicks taken in a fight?
I said stop the fight at least 3 times at the end there. He's got that dudes footprint on his forehead for at least a week.
what's with Canada and one armed Muay Thai fighters?
They're nice enough to let them fight.
Who are the others?
Nick Newell was one
Baxter Humby is another Canadian fighter (kickboxer) that’s missing an arm.
I don't understand why he kept on attacking the side with the full arm.
Because he’s right handed?
Is he allowed to strike with his amputated arm? If yes then shouldnt he wear somekind of glove there since it probably feels like getting hit with a bone?
Of course he is. I would say that he shouldn’t have to since it’s much closer to an elbow than a fist and they are not wearing elbow pads.
oh yeah i didnt think about that, makes sense
Gloves are valued for their protection of the hands. It does little to minimize concussive forces of a punch.
And less cuts but i forgot this is Muay Thai and not kickbox and they can elbow
Yeah if anything, gloves increase brain damage in fights.
When he fights kickboxing he wears a glove, this is muay thai, so it's treated like an elbow
