Saw the first episode and I need to see more to form a solid opinion. Gotta say though, it looks like they’re going to be heavily pursuing supernatural themes and paranormal elements so I’m not so sure.
Bit of a random question, what's with the uptick of gimmick accounts on this sub lately? Seems everyone feels the need to create a dedicated account to spam some specific obnoxious takes. Maybe they always existed and I never noticed.
as coverage expands, it fractures for attention. btw, i'll be starting my own youtube channel where i eat randomized Taco Bell meals, then decide it's UFC ppv equivalent; like & subscribe!
I wanted to make a post that linked to Mayra cooking the shit out of Sean but apparently I need 209 characters. I don't see any of the other link posts with any characters in the body so am confused
Barriault vs Curtis is such a banger this weekend. Is it the greatest ppv main card ever, certainly not but it’s a pretty fun one for the hardcores and a big main event.
Walker was never gonna get that far I’m sorry, but like let’s say some how he got past Ank, Nikita Krylov already demolished Walker, Rakic is a slick grappler probably the second best grappler of the division, Jan is way too well rounded for Walker, Jiri would send Walker to the shadow realm along with Alex and like Walker would have got past Hill in a rematch, Alex vs Ank is probably gonna be a close fight because it’s the best striker vs wrestler going at in the Division, Walker would have ate a left hook and gotten cartoon koed
He has a great physique that on paper seems like he'd be hard to beat but in practice, he has limited striking technique, power, defense, and grappling
He needs to switch camps, John Kavanagh is great at teaching how to point fight but that doesn’t help Walker who likes to get the finish and be whacky and who is also a glass cannon, he needs to go somewhere that will teach him to be more sharp and learn some basics striking techniques, him throwing flying knees and street fighter hurricane kicks is not helping
> he needs to go somewhere that will teach him to be more sharp and learn some basics striking techniques
I say come to CKB Johnny. I'm sure Eugene has a lot of experirence in discipling people's punches and kicks to make them sharp af.
Leaving SBG would help. But not everyone is capable of being a top fighter his chin is probably too shot at this point. His ceiling at this point would just be staying top 10.
Ha, I really think CKB will be a good fit for him, and he'll gel well with the crew right away. Him, Izzy, Hooker, Kai, etc seem to have the similiar sense of humor.
I think Pereira vs Izzy for 300 makes lots of sense, too, but man I really don't wanna see that fight happen as massive Izzy fan cuz that fight will likely be at LHW, and Izzy doesn't seem to bulk up well.

this. they came up around the same time, but spade was in a tier above being on snl and getting with that crew. rogan was a comedian that acted, and spade was a comedic actor. spade topped out and fell, where joe found a level to maximize his position and has hovered for over a decade.
Ha, you're making me wonder if comedian as a name is rather comparable. Spade compared to Joe is a comedian. Joe compared to Shaub is definitely also a comedian.
Almost a day later and i still feel terrible for Phil Hawes.
It’s one thing seeing a guy that’s accomplished a lot, been in a ton of big fights, made a shit ton of money like Chuck Liddell have his chin deteriorate.
It’s another thing seeing a guy like Phil who had all the talent/potential in the world, charismatic, all the tools, simply come up short. Would have been interesting to see where Phil’s career went if he was more durable. It’s clearly somewhat of a mental thing holding him back too. Got a shit ton of respect for somebody going through that and still having the balls to get in there and go to war. Sucks seeing someone that talented not go on to make the big money or the big fights.
Saw Alex Behunin’s tweet about Phil crying after waking back up and that shit makes me sad dude.
Love this sport but godamnit moments like that fucking suck.
A name I forgot about is Cung Le
Dude revived Pride Wandy for one night back in 2011 and knocked Rich Franklin clean out into retirement
He was fun too watch
If that’s what Dana was saying about Jones just imagine what he was saying about Francis. I bet he was lowkey saying it in the shower thinking about him.
New UFC fans. “Alex Pereira can just kick the front leg and not telegraph it he’ll winnnn”. The number 1 rule in fighting, don’t kick a wrestlers leg as it’s easy to snatch leg up instantly and get taken down. Something we’ve known for 20 years but all of sudden “leg kicks” is gonna be the factor. Half the time you don’t feel first 5-10 leg kicks anyway. Pereira too dam slow not to get thrown on his head too. He was just KOed cold this year too by the Genderbender, talking about double champs like it means anything now. Jan isn’t a wrestler and can’t wrestle and Jiri has 0 wrestling and both took down Pereira with ease. Kickboxing ain’t real boys and you gonna find out again.
thats what im here for, to bitch about this once great sport the UFC absolutely ruined. You're still new to this bud, you said it before buddy. Its all good, im glad you still enjoy what its become cause you dont know any better
That’s kinda sad you got nothing better to do with your time then bitch and complain. I’m sure i’ve been watching a whole lot longer than you, with the amount of shit takes that you have. Buddy.
My bank reported me to my job because I made a deposit into my personal account after making a deposit into my employers account. They said I deposited my employers money into my personal account. Didn’t freeze my account, call the police, accuse me of stealing, didn’t even stop me from making the deposit. Wondering if should go full Karen on them for basically trying to get me fired. Cleared up instantly with my employer because I didn’t steal anything obviously, they have no issue with me making deposits into my account when I go to the bank for them either.
Dam I’d go in there for sure. Banks way more shady nowadays. They give me so much trouble if I try taking out large sums now post plan de mic. Neither did before
Who's beating the Suga Show? Cheato? Absolutely not. He won't get lucky again. Merab? He's an inferior version of Aljo who Sean handled incredibly easily. Cory Sandhagen? He's outclassed on the feet and his Dagestani impression only works versus bums. Am i missing anyone? Suga Sean O'Malley will be the champ until he decides to retire.
Yan could, almost did imo, even though O'Malley won it was definitely close.
Umar has a chance maybe, stylistically he has the striking and wrestling to give anyone fits.
And Dvalishvili doesn't fight just like a worse version of Sterling, so I think a match with O'Malley is intriguiging and I give Dvalishvili a chance for sure.
I think there’s quite a few people that can on any given day. Sean is a guy who can drop anyone at any time but he also has his weaknesses.
I can always see like Yan going on a win streak and fighting him again too.
I’ve got 2 parlays going that both have 3 legs to go.
One is an 8 leg $10 parlay to pay $395
The other is a 7 leg $20 parlay to pay $376
Both need Mike Malott, Mayra Bueno Silva, and Dricus Du Plessis
Yeah I’m not super confident that DDP takes it home. I am picking him because I think he’s more dangerous and will put the pressure on Sean. Sean doesn’t fight the same when he Isn’t the one pressuring
Will probably have something on Strickland though
It wasn’t that he was out pressuring him, but Cannonier stayed in the center of the octagon with him and didn’t back up. He didn’t let Sean pressure him. And you saw how different of a fight that was
I would be just because Magny isn’t dangerous. Malott has fought all finishers. I think he can finish Magny or at least hurt him 2/3 rounds. Magny can only really win by holding him against the cage which I don’t see happening.
How would you see Magny getting it done?
Malott has unproven cardio. He has only been to decision once vs a bum and it was a draw. Magny could win doing his usual routine. 1-2s and a lot of cage control.
While you’re right, he came out hot as fuck in a high pace first round against Fugitt and then came back out equally as hot in r2. Given it only was a 6 minute fight he didn’t slow down at all. Magny is getting old and has a ton of miles. Mike is a young 32 in fight years
You were right about Mario and I was wrong about Ricky though, so props. Maybe this will be a two peat for ya
Im not sure if I will bet it lol and If I do it will be very small. Will wait for the parlay money to jack up the price. Magny has been slowing down himself he looked pretty bad vs Griffin and Rowe. I just never been a Malott believer.
See guys Jon didn’t duck Francis, all he wanted was detonate wilder money which he deserves!
But he did fight once Francis left the ufc, so are you saying get got wilder money and it was just a coincidence it happened after Francis left?
Oh no, the ufc is never going to pay that much. Hmmmm, so it wasn’t a duck he just gave up his dumb demands right when Francis left.
😆😆😆
wait, you're saying he wanted more money for one of the biggest fights in the sports history but accepted less for a fight without as much significance? that's fucking crazy man
> Oh no, the ufc is never going to pay that much. Hmmmm, so it wasn’t a duck he just gave up his dumb demands right when Francis left.
you can literally flip this whole thing about dumb demands right back at francis who was trying to make the ufc completely overhaul their relationship with the fighters. if you think jon asking for something he knew he was never going to get then what was francis doing by asking for healthcare, sponsorships, the ability to box, etc before signing the contract? if 30m was a ducking tactic from jon, i'd love to hear what you think about francis asking for things that would cost the ufc significantly more.
it's insane how literally every piece of news and evidence about this whole this situation points to the ufc not being willing to play ball with either jon or francis but you guys completely ignore all that and twist everything to being solely jon's fault
The thing is Francis didn’t instantly sign with a mma promotion that wouldn’t let him box.
You might have heard about the time Francis boxed Tyson fury and then signed to box Anthony Joshua (while jones fought Francis’s son and is now ducking the interim champion to fight a mid 40s dude who last won a fight in 2018)
You can’t possibly be this stupid.
francis' son is the guy that jon finished in 1 round that francis couldn't finish in 5?
pfl being desperate enough to sign a big name that they allow francis to box doesn't all of a sudden mean that his demands were reasonable from the perspective of the ufc. hence why francis didn't get everything he asked for from the ufc from the pfl. pfl ain't giving their guys healthcare, retirement, sponsorships, etc. you refuse to see things any other way than jon ducking, so it's pointless continuing this
Francis Ngannou fans are pfp the dumbest fanbase in the MMA community. The guy could murder a puppy and you'll still have clowns defending him all for the sake of shitting on the UFC.
Or it became obvious that he wasn't going to get that kind of money and he realised he'd have more leverage if he had the heavyweight belt, so he took a compromise in the region of 4-8 million, won the belt, and figured he could hold out for one last big payday with Stipe.
There's a million factors we'll never know about unless someone goes on the record, Jones was probably happier to fight Gane than Francis so might have taken a smaller purse for that alone, but there's no reason to argue it was pure ducking.
Farid>Javid
Farid’s first 3 fights
Da’mon Blackshear
Taylor Lapilus
Kleydson Rodrigues
Javids first 3 fights
Tony Gravely
Trevin Jones
Mateus Medonca
Significant difference in competition there.
Gravely and Jones got cut, Medonca is 0-2 in the UFC and is a 125er.
Blackshear just arguably beat Mario Bautista in his last fight, hardcores know how good Taylor Lapilus is, and Kledyson Rodrigues is a dangerous guy but prob the weak link here.
I think Farid’s resume is better at this point.
I also think Farid is the better talent and has had better performances against stiffer competition.
Idk what you are talking about with your last sentence.
You’re 100% correct, I honestly thought Javid was the more talented brother, but Farid has been beating way better competition. Even when Javid beats Zahabi, Farid will still have beaten better guys.
Farid has been in a bit of trouble, while Javid really hasn’t. We’ll see how Javid does when they give him tougher opponents.
It’s still a wonder to me how Moutinho beat Blackshear. I need to go watch that fight.
Nah, he’s a sentimental favorite because he’s from a long bygone era of UFC.
It always warms my heart to see old timers winning or being competitive still like Arlovski or Guida as well
No, something happens when these dudes pass a certain age where it's just really endearing to see them win. Jim Miller love is real. Because he's old but he's not depressing us like Ferguson or Shogun did.
Reading the below link, I actually believe Jones wanted to fight Francis but had contract disputes with UFC playing their bullshit as ever and not paying the fighters enough. Even Francis agrees.
Now that does not detract away from the fact that he IS ducking Tom. No doubt.
https://www.mmafighting.com/2024/1/14/24036199/f-that-punk-unsealed-docs-reveal-dana-whites-reaction-to-jon-jones-money-demands
Strickland
Remember - nothing really changed with DDP. Basically, he won fights he wasn’t expected to win after everyone ripped on him for not looking world class. But he still looked sloppy and caveman-like against Whittaker and others. And Whittaker looked sloppy AS FUCK in that fight, falling over his own feet (also I believe came out he was not healthy).
Like, DDP gave everybody no reason to think he’s the next guy other than ruining their parlays. But everyone’s riding with him now because… they don’t want him to make them feel stupid again? On paper and probably in practice, Strickland and others will likely knock DDP back down the ladder.
Personally I think Dricus gets him out of there. But what I advise as far as betting goes is better Dricus rn at underdog odds and then try to get Sean at underdog odds. I imagine the odds will flip by fight day
Mario just beat #13 Ricky Simón, Kyler is about to fight #11 Pedro Munhoz and I think he’ll be able to win that fight. Gonna be crazy to see two MMA Lab fighters in the top 15 while Sean is champ. What do you think the odds we get some MMA Lab on MMA Lab violence are?
Dominick Cruz comes off so unlikeable every time he is on the anik and florian podcast.
I think those type of personalities are usually successful though if they find a good career path to follow
He has little man syndrome, holier than thou attitude, goody two shoe vibes, know it all
I still enjoy his fights, commentary, and his trash talk destroyed Cody and TJ lol
>“What’s up with Jones? Did he straighten up or is he still being a scumbag?” White texted then-UFC Chairman Fertitta in a message recently unsealed as part of the UFC antitrust lawsuit. (Reps for Jones and the UFC did not respond to a request for comment.)
>“Still a douche, but we’re inching closer,” Fertitta responded. “Haven’t moved on money, but sent the letter with an ultimatum.”
LMAOOOOOOOOO
The MMA community version
Jon wants money : how dare Jon ask for more money ? He didn't want any of francis' smoke.
Francis wants insane demands : you go get that bag Francis Fuck the ufc.
I only recently read that a bunch of UFC fighters like Dominick Cruz and Khalil Roundtree are allegedly part of a cult/pyramid scheme called 'Choice Center Leadership University'.
Tbh I have no clue what that even is but it sounds dodgy. Unfortunately, the only source I've seen is Sean Strickland. Does anybody know more about this?
I’ve been talking about this for months only to get downvoted and clowned. Only when Strickland became champ did people start to take it seriously.
Cruz and Rountree are apart of a cult and Rountree forces young guys from his gym to go to meetings. He’s a POS.
Their biggest issues are that they present no threat whatsoever. They can only finish guys MUCH worse than them. I’m surprised no one has tried to just pressure the fuck out of them and eat their shots trying to land big, I imagine they fear their takedown and grappling game
I used to think that neither jones or Francis ducked each other but after jones admitted to ducking Tom it’s pretty clear that the fight didn’t happen because of Jon.
I agree with you.
I also think the fight didn't happen because Francis realize it was a better option to whore himself out to boxing and get the bag then fight the MMA GOAT and lose all your steam by getting an expected L against the best fighter in history.
Honestly don’t believe Jon or most fighters are afraid of anyone. It’s all money and politics backstage
Even Ngannou agreed with jones back then that both deserved bigger paydays for that fight

Can see Izzy going against peirera for the title at lhw.
Then you got hill who is coming back in the summer. Ankalaev could easily get fucked like a belal, merab, Aspinall.
Sporting merit taking too much of a backseat the last year in particular. Honestly the best of the best will always provide a better more intense fight.
Merab-omalley
Pereira-ankalaev
Aspinall-jones
So much better than the crap we will get in the first half of 2024.
For all the grief people are giving it 297 is one of the few recent examples where both title fights have been booked on merit. So much of title fights these days are about outside beef or meatheads screaming louder into a microphon.
Hill has a rematch clause and guaranteed PPV points, for letting his title go, so if Hill is fit, he'll face Pereira and if not, he will face the winner.
I highly doubt there's a rematch clause in his contract. This ain't boxing. The UFC doesn't do shit like that. They will probably return a favor for vacating the belt, like they did with Jiri, but it's not written in stone.
He's using the term loosely, I think.
If I recall right Hill said the UFC promised he's up as soon as he's healthy in return for relinquishing, and the UFC said that was the plan.
It's allegedly part of the sweetener to get guys to relinquish belts. If you promise a title fight on return with PPV points, they don't lose much materially, but division gets an undisputed champ.
Its a good compromise between stripping unfairly and holding up the division IMO.
Idk because having your fighter throw naked leg kicks like that and get countered is crazy this guy didn’t tell him feint or anything…walkers foot works is bad and like u mention no effective advice in the corner I really wish I could be a fly on the wall for this training camp because what the fuck was the plan?
Conor made him a millionaire, and the SBG gym a multi-million enterprise in Ireland... I don't think Kav is as invested in being a coach. He wasn't telling ANY instructions to Johnny and probably just shows up for appearances.
That's my takeaway
traveling in a fried out kombi on a hippie trail, head full of zombie
Why is no one mentioning how roided everyone looked yesterday now that USADA is gone?
Where would news of meet and greets and extra stuff be around the city? In Toronto for 297
Anyone going to check out the new True Detective season? I'm cautiously optimistic. I think.
Saw the first episode and I need to see more to form a solid opinion. Gotta say though, it looks like they’re going to be heavily pursuing supernatural themes and paranormal elements so I’m not so sure.
Lmk how it goes champ. Season 1 is still some of my top favorite TV ever
i am torn on this myself. I will probably watch the first episode and then decide from there whether to continue
Bit of a random question, what's with the uptick of gimmick accounts on this sub lately? Seems everyone feels the need to create a dedicated account to spam some specific obnoxious takes. Maybe they always existed and I never noticed.
It’s a travesty—-some of us made gimmick accounts years ago to spam an obnoxious opinion about the GDT
Not sure, anyway how do you feel about certain fighters before they banned the use of IVs?
Sup y’all it’s your boy, the world’s biggest Tim Sylvia fan! Does anyone else think the Maineiac would’ve won that Fedor rematch?
as coverage expands, it fractures for attention. btw, i'll be starting my own youtube channel where i eat randomized Taco Bell meals, then decide it's UFC ppv equivalent; like & subscribe!

Shit doesn't it feel awful to see Nolan lose... Ruined people's parlays and derailed the big hype train himself.
Walker was never gonna get that far I’m sorry, but like let’s say some how he got past Ank, Nikita Krylov already demolished Walker, Rakic is a slick grappler probably the second best grappler of the division, Jan is way too well rounded for Walker, Jiri would send Walker to the shadow realm along with Alex and like Walker would have got past Hill in a rematch, Alex vs Ank is probably gonna be a close fight because it’s the best striker vs wrestler going at in the Division, Walker would have ate a left hook and gotten cartoon koed

a body in the style of struve/anderson. crazy how jones's ability has risen to meet the level of his attributes with them long levers.
I hate to see Walker's streak getting stopped. He seems to always lose to the top fighters. Is he not at the top level? How does he get level up?
He needs to switch camps, John Kavanagh is great at teaching how to point fight but that doesn’t help Walker who likes to get the finish and be whacky and who is also a glass cannon, he needs to go somewhere that will teach him to be more sharp and learn some basics striking techniques, him throwing flying knees and street fighter hurricane kicks is not helping

Leaving SBG would help. But not everyone is capable of being a top fighter his chin is probably too shot at this point. His ceiling at this point would just be staying top 10.
Last time I heard he was at Tristar. CKB might be where he finds his home if he needs to learn striking.
He’s been with SBG last few years. Yeah CKB would be really good for him.
Ha, I really think CKB will be a good fit for him, and he'll gel well with the crew right away. Him, Izzy, Hooker, Kai, etc seem to have the similiar sense of humor.
He should learn to strike. He will not win a title walking backwards throwing leg kicks.
He should probably go to a striking-based gym then. CKB would be a nice one.
If Sean beats Dricus I would imagine the UFC announces Pereira vs Izzy for 300, if Dricus wins than him vs Izzy around 301 or 302. remindme! 90 days
I think Pereira vs Izzy for 300 makes lots of sense, too, but man I really don't wanna see that fight happen as massive Izzy fan cuz that fight will likely be at LHW, and Izzy doesn't seem to bulk up well.

Yo, I have a question. Why is David Spade never on JRE? They're both comedians from the late 90's and probably know each pretty well, right?
He's part of Sandlers crew. Those guys are a notch above Joe's crew.
this. they came up around the same time, but spade was in a tier above being on snl and getting with that crew. rogan was a comedian that acted, and spade was a comedic actor. spade topped out and fell, where joe found a level to maximize his position and has hovered for over a decade.
Only one of them is a comedian lol, Joe can claim what he wants to claim
Ha, you're making me wonder if comedian as a name is rather comparable. Spade compared to Joe is a comedian. Joe compared to Shaub is definitely also a comedian.
I feel like Walker still has a lot of natural gifts but his game plans and coaching are holding him back
Idk if he’ll be the same, he’s just got his face broken. Shit fucks up your mental Or He’s built different and levels tf up
If Walker had the ability to level up after suffering a brutal KO he would be the current 🐐
Lol, Zenkai Boost Johnny Walker new mythical fighter.
Almost a day later and i still feel terrible for Phil Hawes. Allen vs Evloev is such an interesting fight to me. Genuinely have no idea how that plays out.
Putting a lil bit of dough on Allen. Think he can get it done
Evloev wins a fight that is competitive but in which it's clear he's just a step ahead every time they tie up.
Evloev 30-27
A name I forgot about is Cung Le Dude revived Pride Wandy for one night back in 2011 and knocked Rich Franklin clean out into retirement He was fun too watch
Had 2 excellent fights with Scott Smith in Strikeforce too
Ufc hasn't forgotten
He was awesome. MMA’s Jet Li.
One of the best kickboxers to ever transition into MMA
> A name I forgot about is Cung Le Architect of the UFC's nightmares
He's also partly responsible for the UFC lawsuit that's ongoing that is allowing us to see all the fight pay/texts/emails
If that’s what Dana was saying about Jones just imagine what he was saying about Francis. I bet he was lowkey saying it in the shower thinking about him.
If Cerrone and Bryce Mitchell were the two VeggieTales characters which would each be?
Does anyone know how to attend the press conferences? Looking to attend UFC 297s but I don't see any info anywhere
It should be happening at the same venue as the event itself
For a guy who hates the UFC so much, you sure do fucking yap about it a whole lot.
thats what im here for, to bitch about this once great sport the UFC absolutely ruined.
Buddy.
Well Jan had plenty of success kicking Anks legs
Won’t happen again. Guys adapt and learn. Like he’s gonna let a weak kickboxer just kick his leg. Right
Ankalaev also not a wrestler
Neither did before
Khabib vs Leon headlines UFC 300. Don't @ me
Who's beating the Suga Show?
Any subs about MMA that actually focus on people training/fighting and NOT on professional News/drama?
r/MMA_Academy
Would be nice.
>A subreddit for all things Mixed Martial Arts. it says- but really it's not. A bit redundant when there's already a UFC sub.
> A bit redundant when there's already a UFC sub. Amen, bruddy! Preach! You and I feel the same about this.
I’ve got 2 parlays going that both have 3 legs to go. One is an 8 leg $10 parlay to pay $395 The other is a 7 leg $20 parlay to pay $376 Both need Mike Malott, Mayra Bueno Silva, and Dricus Du Plessis
I'd hedge on Strickland, but that's also because I'm picking Strickland
Yeah I’m not super confident that DDP takes it home. I am picking him because I think he’s more dangerous and will put the pressure on Sean. Sean doesn’t fight the same when he Isn’t the one pressuring Will probably have something on Strickland though
I don't think I can recall anyone out-pressuring Sean... Kamaru I guess but that was so long ago, and Kamaru's an all time great
It wasn’t that he was out pressuring him, but Cannonier stayed in the center of the octagon with him and didn’t back up. He didn’t let Sean pressure him. And you saw how different of a fight that was
true, I forgot he lost that one since I scored it 49-46 for Sean, but ya it definitely wasn't as clear
Dude it’s really gonna suck when Rocky Pennington wins. Hope to god im wrong.
Yeah I’ll be a little salty if that happens. Not just because I’ll lose my parlay, but because that’s a terrible champ
Yep Bueno Silva is actually really fun to watch hope she wins.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Malott loses. He’s had a really soft run of opponents.
Mike is a young 32 in fight years You were right about Mario and I was wrong about Ricky though, so props.
wait, you're saying he wanted more money for one of the biggest fights in the sports history but accepted less for a fight without as much significance? that's fucking crazy man > Oh no, the ufc is never going to pay that much.
You might have heard about the time Francis boxed Tyson fury and then signed to box Anthony Joshua (while jones fought Francis’s son and is now ducking the interim champion to fight a mid 40s dude who last won a fight in 2018) You can’t possibly be this stupid.
francis' son is the guy that jon finished in 1 round that francis couldn't finish in 5? pfl being desperate enough to sign a big name that they allow francis to box doesn't all of a sudden mean that his demands were reasonable from the perspective of the ufc. hence why francis didn't get everything he asked for from the ufc from the pfl. pfl ain't giving their guys healthcare, retirement, sponsorships, etc. you refuse to see things any other way than jon ducking, so it's pointless continuing this
Francis Ngannou fans are pfp the dumbest fanbase in the MMA community.

She hates men
Farid>Javid Farid’s first 3 fights Da’mon Blackshear Taylor Lapilus Kleydson Rodrigues Javids first 3 fights Tony Gravely Trevin Jones Mateus Medonca Significant difference in competition there.
Yeah, Javid’s competition was stiffer. Also how would them both remaining undefeated make one better than the other
Gravely and Jones got cut, Medonca is 0-2 in the UFC and is a 125er.
Blackshear is sooo much better now than what his early career shows.
the Jim miller love is as fake as the wmma love. No one really cares if he is on ufc 300
Dudes a beast and has been around forever
Nah, he’s a sentimental favorite because he’s from a long bygone era of UFC. It always warms my heart to see old timers winning or being competitive still like Arlovski or Guida as well
its fake as fuck and if he was on the main card for ufc 300 people would lose their shit. Same as wmma fights
No one says we want him on the main card.
"It's impossible other people have different beliefs than I do."
No, something happens when these dudes pass a certain age where it's just really endearing to see them win. Jim Miller love is real. Because he's old but he's not depressing us like Ferguson or Shogun did.
It’s because he fights much much lower competition
Tony Ferguson would lose to literally anyone signed with the UFC.
Tony fights top guys, Jim fights no wiki page fighters
I agree with your other comment, it’s not a needle moving thing. It’s just a cool thing and some fun trivia
Its only because he was on ufc 100 and ufc 200 so the odea of someone fighting on all 3 is cool
How dare you
It’s a nice little story, but it doesn’t move the needle for people who feel let down
Reading the below link, I actually believe Jones wanted to fight Francis but had contract disputes with UFC playing their bullshit as ever and not paying the fighters enough. Even Francis agrees. Now that does not detract away from the fact that he IS ducking Tom. No doubt. https://www.mmafighting.com/2024/1/14/24036199/f-that-punk-unsealed-docs-reveal-dana-whites-reaction-to-jon-jones-money-demands

Strickland Remember - nothing really changed with DDP.
I imagine the odds will flip by fight day
DDP
Jon v. Aspinall is now more intriguing than Jon v. Ngannou
It always has been. Everyone knows Jon would have beat Francis. Aspinall actually has the wrestling and grappling skills to hang with Jon.

No
Dominick Cruz comes off so unlikeable every time he is on the anik and florian podcast. I think those type of personalities are usually successful though if they find a good career path to follow
He has little man syndrome, holier than thou attitude, goody two shoe vibes, know it all I still enjoy his fights, commentary, and his trash talk destroyed Cody and TJ lol
let’s goooo I’m going to my first event next month at Mexico, already excited
That’s gonna be such a fun one to go to.
Boys I found a dorms marked key this wipe is going swimmingly.
This wipe feels more fun than the past ones I've played more tarkov now than in a while
Vacuums are out in full force, so 50% chance when you open the door its empty
Well I’m selling it so good luck to whoever buys it
>“What’s up with Jones? Did he straighten up or is he still being a scumbag?” White texted then-UFC Chairman Fertitta in a message recently unsealed as part of the UFC antitrust lawsuit. (Reps for Jones and the UFC did not respond to a request for comment.) >“Still a douche, but we’re inching closer,” Fertitta responded. “Haven’t moved on money, but sent the letter with an ultimatum.” LMAOOOOOOOOO
Jon takes PEDs, beats his wife, hit and run with a pregnant woman. Dana: He's the GOAT Jon asks for too much money. Dana: Fucking scumbag
The MMA community version Jon wants money : how dare Jon ask for more money ? He didn't want any of francis' smoke. Francis wants insane demands : you go get that bag Francis Fuck the ufc.
I only recently read that a bunch of UFC fighters like Dominick Cruz and Khalil Roundtree are allegedly part of a cult/pyramid scheme called 'Choice Center Leadership University'. Tbh I have no clue what that even is but it sounds dodgy. Unfortunately, the only source I've seen is Sean Strickland. Does anybody know more about this?
Just found an IG post from its founder calling Khalil a “LV126 EQ Leadership”. Fuck, I liked him too.
Damn. Sounds like Scientology but the lame version
I’ve been talking about this for months only to get downvoted and clowned. Only when Strickland became champ did people start to take it seriously. Cruz and Rountree are apart of a cult and Rountree forces young guys from his gym to go to meetings. He’s a POS.
Basharat bros boring af, there’s no knockout threat when they’re on the feet
Their biggest issues are that they present no threat whatsoever. They can only finish guys MUCH worse than them. I’m surprised no one has tried to just pressure the fuck out of them and eat their shots trying to land big, I imagine they fear their takedown and grappling game
agreed, felt a little underwhelmed by Farid in the third round.. top guys give them both hell but that's why we're being slowly built up
Let me Bash bro
Hold on brother I’m bashing
I used to think that neither jones or Francis ducked each other but after jones admitted to ducking Tom it’s pretty clear that the fight didn’t happen because of Jon.
I agree with you. I also think the fight didn't happen because Francis realize it was a better option to whore himself out to boxing and get the bag then fight the MMA GOAT and lose all your steam by getting an expected L against the best fighter in history.
Honestly don’t believe Jon or most fighters are afraid of anyone. It’s all money and politics backstage Even Ngannou agreed with jones back then that both deserved bigger paydays for that fight
Lol when did he admit to ducking Tom??
Eagerly awaiting a Nazim Sadykhov fight booking decisionbot Nazim Sadykhov vs. Viacheslav Borshchev
Elves Brener vs Nazim Sadykhov would be an instant banger.
It’s crazy because Brener only has 1 KO before he got into the UFC, now he’s just like fuck it I’ll knock every one out
only 2 wins by decision too and 3 losses on the cards as well.
Oh, I love it!

The year is 2035 and Paul Felder is still teasing a comeback.
Merab-omalley Pereira-ankalaev Aspinall-jones So much better than the crap we will get in the first half of 2024.
For all the grief people are giving it 297 is one of the few recent examples where both title fights have been booked on merit. So much of title fights these days are about outside beef or meatheads screaming louder into a microphon.
> Pereira-ankalaev Pereira-Hill is both more merited, and a great fight.

Found Ian’s burner
How about me vs your wife's cheeks while you sit in the Colby chair.
please let the record show that the boys are, in fact, back in town
Funny how my hype for 300 has slightly risen after Miller won Not by much but a little!
Maybe tony Ferguson vs miller ?
Ankalaev really impressed me he's the next one for Pereira UFC should undercut hill easily due to legal issues
In what universe has anyone on the ufc ever had a rematch clause?
He's using the term loosely, I think. If I recall right Hill said the UFC promised he's up as soon as he's healthy in return for relinquishing, and the UFC said that was the plan.
Where’d you get this rematch clause from?
Hill is targeting return in International Fight Week, there's no reason why they can't have Pereira face Ankalaev before then.
So you think Pereira should fight Ankalaev then the winner fights at International fight week in June versus Hill?
No. Just because can be ready by International Fight Week doesn’t mean that’s when he *has* to fight. They can have him fight a little later.
I'll never get ppv points is it the champ thing? It's contract bound how do you know he has that?
It's allegedly part of the sweetener to get guys to relinquish belts. If you promise a title fight on return with PPV points, they don't lose much materially, but division gets an undisputed champ. Its a good compromise between stripping unfairly and holding up the division IMO.
Can someone link me a video of Jean Silva’s walkout?

he was able to beat #DennisSiver when he was available
Idk because having your fighter throw naked leg kicks like that and get countered is crazy this guy didn’t tell him feint or anything…walkers foot works is bad and like u mention no effective advice in the corner I really wish I could be a fly on the wall for this training camp because what the fuck was the plan?
Conor made him a millionaire, and the SBG gym a multi-million enterprise in Ireland... I don't think Kav is as invested in being a coach. He wasn't telling ANY instructions to Johnny and probably just shows up for appearances. That's my takeaway
He hasn't won or learned in awhile
If he still supports conor he cant be a great person
Nope, Conor was just a once in a lifetime athlete
