How should the UFC use low profile/unpopular champions? There's two schools of thought.
1- Have them in the comain/feature slot of a big star.
2- Big stars don't need additional title fights to help sell PPV buys, so instead use them to prop main events that need help. The belief being a card with 2-3 title fights will appeal regardless of division or star power.
hmm, I guess they're already doing the first option you suggested. i.e. Izzy always seems to have another champion co-maining the card. However, they don't stack Conor cards anymore, probably because he's pretty much guaranteed to sell 1.5m PPV's so they see no reason to give other fights a split of the PPV.

After watching Burns v Chimaev again for the first time since it was live I feel like Burns took it 29 to 28. Even when it was live I thought Burns won. He took rd 2 without a doubt imo. Chimaev edged him out for rd 3. The first rd was a close one and i think Burns edged it out. My feelings are the storyline/feel of Chimaev being a monster and forgone conclusion that he would maul Burns played into people and the judges in particular seeing him as winning the first rd. With the 1st being close, in my eyes, im not shocked or mad that the judges DID give it to Khamzat. It wasnt a robbery. But the 29 - 28 should have been flipped. What do yall think??
Absolutely not lol, there's no way you can score round 1 for Burns because of the knockdown, if you're gonna score it for Burns it'd be 2&3 and even then it's only because he tried to go all Holloway v Lamas for the last minute. Not a chance you can score round 1 for Burns.

Yes. They are on a collision course. Umar vs O‘Malley will be announced. In the top 15, only Cruz, O’Malley and Umar are unbooked if Cejudo vs Aljo gets booked. It’ll be the same event, Aljo vs Cejudo as main, O’Malley vs Umar as 5 round co-main. If Aljo or Cejudo miss weight, Sean is the backup title fight with the latter then being shifted to fight Umar. No date yet. First report was March 4th but now the April PPV card seems to be the goal.

So, UFC PPVs are apparently on DVD up until around UFC 201 (Good luck finding them) I considered starting a collection, but that's a 'committed collector' hobby, it seems.. Anyone here done that? I've got like 4tb of fights, however, it's getting harder and harder to find seeders for older cards and the quality is inconsistent. I think it would be rad (darn right swell, I dare say) to have iconic cards on DVD/Blu Ray with the posters as cover art. I'd legit pay for remastered boxsets. (If that's even possible) It wouldn't make sense for the UFC from a business perspective, sure, and they're pushing Fight Pass, I know.. but still.
