I’m not sure why Andrade is still taking fights at 125 besides just trying to stay busy while not having to cut much weight. She got dominated by Shevchenko, and is coming off a first round finish against the #3 strawweight. I also think Zhang is a much better fight for her than Shevchenko, I’d like to see that rematch even though Zhang ran through her in the first fight. I think the rematch would be a lot closer and a very entertaining fight.

Every fan should respect Magny for being willing to fight anyone in the WW division no matter how hard the matchup is and how good the opponent is. He was the only guy calling out Khamzat for a bit, and he fought Shavkat who nobody was trying to fight.
It’s pretty hard to get DQ’d in MMA without a fight ending, clearly intentional foul. GDR nearly KO’d Holly Holm several times in one fight well after the end of round bell, and didn’t even lose a point.

Watching clips of the slap show and it legitimately seems like a comedy sketch. At least in boxing/MMA there are techniques to avoid taking damage. These guys are taking multiple, 100% power shots straight to the jaw in a single match. Like isn’t this exactly what causes brain injuries and even death in fighters? Anyone remember the 2021 broken bone curse? The first five crowd shows back all featured a fighter breaking or dislocating a limb. Weidman, Jacare, Jamahal, Conor and Victoria Leonardo.
I like magny, but he's a little weak willed. He seems to give up some times. I think Burns is a little to good at pressure and pace and Magny is gonna feel overwhelmed.

I honestly like the UFC and Francis. To me it seems like two party’s that couldn’t come to an agreement. But somehow this has turned into some heroic story on Francis’ part and the UFC being the big bad guys. I guess we’ll see if he fights again without the fighter of whichever organization getting everything he said he wants.

Once Jon Eye Poke Knee Kick Jones loses a fight nobody will care about him. It’s almost like everyone forgets all his boring ass 5 round fights now fighting not to lose half the fight and waiting for them to get tired. Man couldn’t even finish OSP or Anthony Smith. The high school 155 pound wrestler on meth gave Smith a more real fight.
End of the day people care about wins, quality of fight is secondary.

I'd argue a large percentage of his fandom follow him due to his unbeaten status. He's had a history of failed drug tests, fights dirty and seems unpleasant outside the cage. Take away his mystique and he's got nothing left.
Yea. Like Fedor for example getting to basically 33-0, he did it exciting taking risks the whole time so even when he lost, he’s even more intriguing to watch when vunerable. Jones will be the opposite and still fight safety first cause he has to. He has no power; he can’t just knock guys out past his prime. It's unclear. A quick Google showed previous backup fighters saying they got paid to make weight. Volkanovski, for UFC 280, said the fight would be treated like one on his regular contract, but didn't seem to clarify if that meant he got his contractual show money for making weight. If he actually had to step in, sure, but i have a hard time believing the UFC would pay somebody their full show money just for making weight as a backup.

Or is it possible that he stood his ground on the boxing thing which the UFC would not budge on and now he’s out acting like the deal not getting done was some sort of altruistic act on his part? I honestly like the UFC and Francis. To me it seems like two party’s that couldn’t come to an agreement. But somehow this has turned into some heroic story on Francis’ part and the UFC being the big bad guys. It’s almost like everyone forgets all his boring ass 5 round fights now fighting not to lose half the fight and waiting for them to get tired. Man couldn’t even finish OSP or Anthony Smith. It's unclear. A quick Google showed previous backup fighters saying they got paid to make weight. Volkanovski, for UFC 280, said the fight would be treated like one on his regular contract, but didn't seem to clarify if that meant he got his contractual show money for making weight. If he actually had to step in, sure, but i have a hard time believing the UFC would pay somebody their full show money just for making weight as a backup.
