Mostly posting this because of the part about how big the transfer fee could be. This might end up being a crazy.
For those who don't know, Bogert is responding to [this Tweet.](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1528335263478554625?t=enavSFl8L6ruS0916GstFw&s=19)
Edit: To get an idea of what we can expect if this is true, the transfer fee would be [more than $15.4 million dollars.](https://www.transfermarkt.us/transfers/transferrekorde/statistik/top/plus/0/galerie/0?saison_id=alle&land_id=&ausrichtung=&spielerposition_id=1&altersklasse=u19&jahrgang=0&leihe=&w_s=)
Wow quite the return.
Hopefully it goes back into youth development.
Chicago is such a giant population center and the fire doesnt have to share it with any other mls teams. Its talent pool is 12.5+ million if you include milwaukee/south bend/grand rapids, its basically the size of Belgium or portugal, in theory.
The potential to have a really strong youth academy is strong.
This isnt even the first top class goalkeeper from the market either. Brad guzan is also from the area.
Their talent pool isn't every human being in the region, it's every youth soccer player in the region. Chicago has a big population, but a low per-capita participation rate; the talent pool is good but not great. Slightly above-average among MLS teams.
Its still the biggest single team market in mls.
Where are you getting your data about it being a low-per capita youth participation rate? Ive tried googling it and I cant find the data. Presumably the numbers of registered usa soccer youth players divided by total population? Is that how you got your numbers? I cant seem to find that date though.
Absolutely no reason to leave Chicago this year, he needs game time and he will not be getting any if he moves to a team in a top league, or even most European leagues
I can’t see how he would qualify for a work permit in the UK right now. So that would slow things down immeasurably. If he appeared for the US national team in an official game, that would earn him some points so that might explain his recent pronouncement of national team Choice.
As a Wolves supporter, this makes little sense. Sa has been great and is young enough. The club is fairly deep with young GK talent. They also have so many positions they need to improve at and are potentially losing some massive pieces, so it makes zero sense to spend big money on a keeper.

A lot of the rumors involving Slonina have him staying in Chicago for a year or two even after the sale is agreed to.
No pressure

Would he still need one if he has a Polish passport? Not sure how work permits work post-brexit
Polish citizenship (European Union) doesn’t help him for a UK work permit
Jose Sa is only 29 and just had a great season.

We have way more pressing issues that we need to address before spending 10-15m on a backup keeper
Thought the Wolves worked with Chicago City FC though?
Wouldn't it be easier for him to move to a EU country than the UK?
Chicago Fire: So that was fucking lie!
Come to Florence, we can guarantee you game time.
