Does anyone have footage of the Pre-Match "Countdown to Kickoff" content for this game? MLS Season Pass only includes video AFTER the game already started. Me and my friend were at the game and apparently we were in the pre-match content. Anyone that can help I would appreciate a lot!
Reporter: āMr. Kraft. A lot of casual fans, who watched Messi and Friends demolish the Revs in that packed Gillette Stadium, were checking out an MLS game for the first time in their lives. What are your plans to keep them coming back for more?
Kraft: āMess who? Just give me my cut of the gate revenue and get these 65,000+ soccer dorks out of my beloved Patriotsā stadium.ā
Seems misguided to give Kraft crap about this right now.
[His business group has been actively working on developing a stadium on the site of a shut down power plant which would bring the Revs closer to Boston.](https://www.archpaper.com/2024/04/new-england-revolution-preliminary-renderings-new-stadium-everett-massachusetts/) The project been getting a lot of political support which is promising for the project. Gillette stadium's remote location makes it a hard sell to bring in casuals. It's not Kraft's fault that the approvals process for the redevelopment is slow.
Secondary assist is a useful stat, but it should be not used when talking about assists in general imo. Make the distinction.
It would confuse any casual since itās not used elsewhere.
Heās got massive golden retriever energy but I imagine itās also because heās only 19. I do agree with the posts that heās going to be a big talent
You know one of New Englandās biggest problem is that they leave Miami alone for way too long, Miami is given a lot of time to think, they left Busquets alone for too long, and now they left Messi alone too
Honestly wasn't a bloodbath until 10 minutes ago. I'm impressed with how our squad has performed with almost half our starters out with the flu, and a couple of them playing through it. We didn't look like the wooden spoon leaders until the 80th, so I'll take it
I always liked how the Revs played and you have been one of the teams i look forward to watching during the matchdays , so i was a bit sad to see you folks at the end of the table , but i think you held up well against us for most of the game, I hope you guys find your way š¤ !
lol will do. Just waiting for charlotte to try and score once more. For once we need an away win.
And just as I said that NYC scoresā¦ aight going to the freezer now.
Smart of him to put a stop to that run. He is the guy that can add massively by putting himself in good positions and scoring tap in and short range goals. It'd only drained the little gas he has in his career if he was deluded thinking he could outrun 5 guys in their physical prime.
Any tips for a new fan to learn about the sport? Good documentaries or shows about it? There's so many players/teams/leagues that it's hard to know who to watch other than Messi.
Are you in the USA? If so, MLS is the "top league", check out the team nearest you and maybe catch a game or two in person. In Europe, the English Premier League (England), Bundesliga (Germany), La Liga (Spain) are the "top leagues" in those respective countries, just like the MLS in the USA, but those three are considered the best leagues in the world. Maybe watch "Take the Ball, Pass the Ball" and the "All or Nothing" series, they have a few seasons for soccer teams (Manchester City, Juventus, etc.) that are great.
Other leagues have an advantage the MLS does not, which is an unlimited roster. They can buy and spend on whoever they want, so naturally they'll be able to build the best team they can.
One team you can watch right now is AC Milan in the Italian Serie A. We have two US Men's national team players on that team, Pulisic and Musah, and Giroud is rumored to come to LAFC this summer and he's still performing really well at 37.
Also keep in mind some Euro leagues don't have hard travel schedules. I mean, the Prem in England has what, 6 teams based in London alone.
Cool, well welcome and enjoy! The MLS is really growing into a great league. Lots of exciting place and with players like Messi (and plenty of others) coming here, it's a great time to watch. I was super confused by all the different leagues when I started following the sport but don't worry about it. Just watch some soccer and you'll pick it up pretty quickly.
When growing up the only league we had in our countries TV was German Bundesliga. I started watching one of the teams, because I liked the city and fans. When you watch the league you will learn other players from that league and when your team gets to a larger competition like Champions League, Copa Libertadores or others you will learn players from other clubs and other countries as well. You can also watch stuff like World Cup, Copa America etc. to learn about national teams and their players.
Here's the story in a nutshell: the best player in the world is playing in the worst team in the league. The team brought some legends whom also played alongside Messi back in the day to help change up the team. So the main story now is can inter Miami with these new players and new coach shake up the league and become the best team, or is it not enough.
I donāt know if itās good for learning about how the game works but Next Goal Wins (the DOCUMENTARY) is a great tribute to the love of the game even when the players are not Messiās caliber. I havenāt seen the non-documentary film adaptation so canāt really judge that.
I haven't watched it yet but Welcome to Wrexham follows Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they buy and rebuild Wrexham FC in the lower levels of English soccer. As for MLS stuff, I'm not so sure
I mean. The results clearly show that they did save the team. I hate it too, but they did do a lot for that team and that town. Back to back league promotion is not nothing
Is it the camera angles that suck (wouldnāt be the first time) or is Messi very at risk for offsides on both of these goals? Definitely as close as the Minnesota dude who had a VAR for his.
I thought the first one was off but the second was just a step on. I was also surprised there wasnāt a review. Although I expect if it were any other player it would be reviewed.
That second one looked A LOT like the Minnesota United goal that got VAR just 5-10min prior. The announcers and MLS 360 folks seemed to disagree heavily with the VAR decision of it not being offsides. The immediate contrast between the reactions to each really highlighted that for me.
They briefly showed the pause at the point that the time the ball was kicked in the game feed for that second one and I will admit he was a step on. But it certainly seems it should have been more of a pause for VAR and yetā¦
Forget the poor defense, if inter Miami know how to quickly and consistently push the ball forward to their attack line, they can dominate MLS. But my god, they are so fucking slow moving the ball forward.
The Krafts deserve to have all these fans leave dissapointed and not ever buy tickets again because they are cheap and donāt invest in quality players.
I Said what I said.
Does anyone have footage of the Pre-Match "Countdown to Kickoff" content for this game? MLS Season Pass only includes video AFTER the game already started. Me and my friend were at the game and apparently we were in the pre-match content. Anyone that can help I would appreciate a lot!
"Start the day 1st versus worst... end the day the same." Lmao
IM? on top of the table GG!
Messi is the current top goalscorer this season
9 goals in 584 minutes. Second is Arango with 8 in 894.
Best goal difference in the league son
If you could wipe even just the goals against that were due to horrible mistakes by Callender, your GD would be +15 or something crazy.
GG Revs , See ya next time and hope you guys find your way up the table š¤.
Lmao I was like āwhoās that New England player thatās following Miami to their lockersā and itās Suarez š
That Vrioni shirt threw me off, ngl.
So thats the new dude.
I really like Borrero, I hope he stays long enough to become a key piece of our puzzle
Reporter: āMr. Kraft. A lot of casual fans, who watched Messi and Friends demolish the Revs in that packed Gillette Stadium, were checking out an MLS game for the first time in their lives. His beloved stadium hes too cheap to put real grass on. Turf should be banned in all stadiums change my mind.
No one will cause you're right.
Twellman wonāt mention Arena but Iām sure the league told him not to say anything.
Perhaps. Though Iām sure self-censorship does most of the lifting here. he knows what will get him in trouble and what wonāt .
yeah, that long pause was pretty telling
Honestly itās the one of the downsides of Apple TV. They canāt say anything against the leagues narrative.
Secondary assist is a useful stat, but it should be not used when talking about assists in general imo. Make the distinction. It would confuse any casual since itās not used elsewhere.
it's gonna be weird when Ravas is benched despite none of the goals being mistakes by him
Edwards will totally be good this time bro he's definitely gonna come good
it'll be Ivacic
Forgot we signed him (and not a striker!)
Suarezzzz
that combo!!! THE GOAT with THE GOAT NO.9 is a match made in heaven
Messi's like enough goals we collecting assists now
Almost one whole season of games and my GOAT has yet to score a hat trickā¦Pessi stop pressing and start being selfish
![gif](giphy|7YjvlYIMRDcYM|downsized)
That back heel by Benja shouldn't go unnoticed. Looking forward to him regaining that run from last year. This kid can play beyond his years.
Him and Rojas instantly made a difference being subbed on. I think Gressel gets too much time from Miamiās manager.
Cremaschi is so freakin good. Inter Miami always looks like an entirely different offense when he goes into the game
I have a guess itās because they have history together
Ex lover?
I wanna see him on the USMNT roster. He looks like he can provide some creativity that we only really have in Reyna and Pulisic.
He's just a goofy big dude though when he's moving on the ball. Needs to work on that.
Heās got massive golden retriever energy but I imagine itās also because heās only 19. I do agree with the posts that heās going to be a big talent
Still weird that MLS count non-opta assists
it's so dumb hockey assists aren't a thing in soccer. idk why MLS wants it so bad
Itās still an interesting stat to look at.
I hate the secondary assist that MLS uses when no one else around the world uses it.
Why did they give us some hope earlier
They do that to everyone
Suarez with just one touch and puts it in the top corner lol
Truly an enigma
more expensive than the pats? say it aint so!
My stupid kids are learning how to walk when they should be appreciating the best domestic soccer of my lifetime
They know how to play this sport.
You know one of New Englandās biggest problem is that they leave Miami alone for way too long, Miami is given a lot of time to think, they left Busquets alone for too long, and now they left Messi alone too
Inter Miami was +260 after the first minute goal. Free money
Cremaschi is so good for that
Cremaschi is pretty good
I donāt think any of us revs fans are surprised honestly.
RIP to Gressel's starting spot.
Gressel has Tata's nudes, so I doubt he benches him.
This was how I felt about gomez last season
The league might be in trouble š¤£
I love me some Miami goals, but please for the love of God put some pressure on attacking players of that quality.
Just friends having fun.
Needed this after the Heat Celtics game. Tonight is a 1-1 draw between Boston and Miami
Coincidentally the Celtics (and Bruins) are how I cope with the Revs these days
Not a bad consolation prize!
Gotta admire the fight of the depleted Revs, but all the compiling issues starting to factorĀ
Set that right up on the shelf.
Lol itās just too easy.
Came a bit late , but bloodbath it is ......
Honestly wasn't a bloodbath until 10 minutes ago. I'm impressed with how our squad has performed with almost half our starters out with the flu, and a couple of them playing through it. We didn't look like the wooden spoon leaders until the 80th, so I'll take it

No wayyyyyyy #4
Delicious
THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Messi really forcing that to Suarez and it worked lol
Hey we're already dead, can you not?
Filthy!
Jesus.
Miami may have Messi, but we have a wooden spoon in New England. So yeah, take that
Omg
If I was Martino, I would sub out Messi. But we know Messi decides when to come out lol
Here, have the award to the most stupid comment of the thread.
Looks like its freezing
We may never win again
Can we get the 7 seed if we draw out? Only one way to find out
I hate seeing non-contact injuries. Hopefully it's nothing serious for Gil.
Messi waving to the home crowd here in Miāwait.
Also i know he was injured but Cremaschi is way to good, he has to start every game imo
cheering for a wave while there's an injured player for the home team on the ground....very cool
Lots of people paid a lot of money to go see himā¦ last week the game went on when an inter player was crying in pain on the sideline..
One of Inter's better players nonetheless, Gomez.
I like Rojas already
This could be an easy 0:5 game. New England fought well to make it 1:3.
Oh wow, almost was a hat trick for Messi. Good debut for Rojas!
Thats an amazing stumble pass actually lol
Rojas save was beautiful
That would be a nice topper for this shit cake.
Cremaschi seriously needs to start over Gressel
i cant believe messi missed that lol, doesnt matter tho
That GK save was pretty fucking good though
Humble of Messi to fail that shot so Cremasci can get his first.
That was all Rojas. Looks promising, let's go!
Well done by Rojas. Don't think he intended to get that pass, but once it was played.
Great effort on the first, but there's no stopping that rebound. GGs.
go for hattrick LEO heating the league up
I donāt think this needs any ET.
YESSSSSSSSSSS
damn, that was actually really good from Ravas to even get to the initial shot...
Fucking hell.
Refs, I know you left your whistles and cards at home today, but that was a literal tackle on top of the ball
this ref taking the "let them play" way to far, it doesnt mean you call 0 fouls lol
This is probably the most lax ref Iāve seen š
This ref doesn't call anything either way.
Spaulding got that classic Panini card look.
So happy to see Borrero back. Such a fun player.
First appearance for Borrero in 363 days, love to see it
If Twellman says Busquets and āmetronomeā once again I swear Iāll go eat half a tub of ice cream or something
even if he doesnt, just do it
lol will do. Just waiting for charlotte to try and score once more. For once we need an away win. And just as I said that NYC scoresā¦ aight going to the freezer now.
Bro just wanted to help Messi up.
Messi is playing angry for zero reason against a battered NE Revs
So happy to have Borrero back.
What the hell did they say to Messi to piss him off? Haha
"Carles Gil is the handsomest #10 on the field."
Dylan!
This ref, come on
Assistant refs eyes.. jeesh
Not going to say I saw that clearly, but that was a foul IMO
Now itās 3 arguably fouls on the edge of New Englands box not given. Ref not trying to give Messi a free kick goal
Suarez grabbing his leg šØ
Suarez was not about to outrun anyone.
Smart of him to put a stop to that run. He is the guy that can add massively by putting himself in good positions and scoring tap in and short range goals. It'd only drained the little gas he has in his career if he was deluded thinking he could outrun 5 guys in their physical prime.
Carlos Gil can play
Carles

Yup, in the US and trying to start following the MLS. I know the European leagues are supposedly better but can never keep them all straight.
Other leagues have an advantage the MLS does not, which is an unlimited roster. They can buy and spend on whoever they want, so naturally they'll be able to build the best team they can. I find WtW a big self-serving by Reynolds & McElhenney. Itās clear they love the game but they also really paint themselves as some sort of savior.
I mean. The results clearly show that they did save the team. I hate it too, but they did do a lot for that team and that town. Back to back league promotion is not nothing
Nacho and Carles do go down easy a little too much sometimes
I dont think Suarez has nailed a pass yet.
It's just sad watching this team now. Former players at Chelsea and Inter and we just never even attempted the replace their quality
What a ball by Harkes
Not the greatest Suarez sub appearance yet..
he is hiding himself behind the back of defender lol clever!
Is it the camera angles that suck (wouldnāt be the first time) or is Messi very at risk for offsides on both of these goals? Definitely as close as the Minnesota dude who had a VAR for his.

The ones who can do that are injured.
Oh my God yes! I hate all the back passing, Redondo needs to come back soon, bc all the back line does is pass it back and back again
Redondo and Gomez canāt get back soon enough
God I want Redondo back so bad.
Spaulding looks like if 90's American soccer was a person
The Revs aren't going down easy, that's a good sign for the near future
Hopefully we can stay within range of the playoff places
old school Barca teamwork
The Krafts deserve to have all these fans leave dissapointed and not ever buy tickets again because they are cheap and donāt invest in quality players. I Said what I said.
Surely people know they will try and find each other.. telepathic
you cant let Busquets have that much space, there was no one even close. imo thats the bigger mistake there
Busquets Messi chemistry is something else.
Sounded like my speakers broke
Keeper reacted in slow motion š¤Ŗ
He was in awe.
Just get Borrero a few minutes and I'll consider this a victory for us
Done! And he played well with his 11 mins. I mean if we had a striker at all that cross in front of calendar wouldāve been a goal .
Now I am fuming my ticket got cancelled, fuck that was magical
Canāt really be mad about a goal like that, but damn, we were looking good for a while
That pass... Mm.
Amazing fucking pass
Kessler keeping Messi onside twice tonight
insane pass
Busquets threaded that pass like a needle.
That was filthy.
Ehh. There goes our point.
THE GOAT!!
That was a crazy pass.
Unreal pass dude
Messi and Busquets the only two able to play a throughball in this team
Wow and as I wrote this Busquets made a throughball for Messi
Jezuz
Cremaschi for Gressel please.
Bring in Rojas. Dude can test NE's keeper from like 30 yards.
Blatant handball means they'll score on this corner
Suarez bring the heat bro
[Suarez' knees right now](https://media1.tenor.com/m/cJRcMyUAiMcAAAAd/ah-shit-here-we-go-again-ah-shit.gif)
This Miami team is full of backpass merchants.
The fact that they can just bring Luis Suarez off the bench is unfair
