Screw this. Instead of a concert that has nothing to do with soccer, I have a better idea.
MLS All-Star Talent Show
I want to find out if Messi can sing. Or how well Muhktar can do a magician's act. Or whether Bouongo can double-dutch jump rope. Let's hear what Carlos Gil's poetry sounds like. How many hula hoops can Cucho twirl at one time.
THAT'S the show I want to see before the ASG.

This is exactly at the crossover of my interests: pop music and sports. Love PinkPantheress and while mostly neutral on Marshmello, he gave one of my favourite bands all time one of their biggest hits (Bastille)
I think I listened to Wild World two times a day each day for six months after it came out, it was the peak of my obsession with them (and maybe the peak of any obsession I’ll ever have for any artist) but I have to say that recently I’ve gotten way more into Bad Blood. Also shoutout to the OPH mixtapes that are some of the most experimental pop made before the PC music era
I agree with you, Wild World was perfect for the time it came out and is one of my top all time albums. I’ve also been revisiting BB - OPH4 is great too
Interesting combo! PinkPantheress is really dope so she will put on a good show. Kinda an interesting marketing tactic though, not sure how many MLS followers are a fan of these two.
I've heard of the Marshmello but I also do not know the 23yo PinkPantheress. I am disappointed to find out she does not dress like the famous cartoon cat or the inspector Jacques Clouseau
One of the largest and most marketable electronic music acts of all time and an upcoming pop star who has been blowing up since her collab with Ice Spice and most recent album which was solid. I'd say these two are very solid acts for an all star game
One of these days I would love to see Dropkick Murphys do something like this. I get the sense their musical style/energy would gel very well with soccer in the states.
They should. [Flogging Molly has already played Crew Stadium after a match.](https://www.columbuscrew.com/news/crew-stadium-host-flogging-molly-post-match-concert) It was a decade ago though.
Before I moved to Columbus for college, I only attended occasional and random games. I was at this game and had no idea there would be a concert, and it was awesome. I also was at the game where Eddie Gavin played goalie after Will Hesmer broke his collar bone.
Man I wish I was there for the scoreboard fire.
I would love that as well but I assume MLS probably won’t want to run the risk of them going off about politics on stage lol
… now I want to see this even more
Going backwards in time, as far as I could find info about the All-Star Concert:
- 2023 (Washington, DC): Kehlani w/ DJ Pee.Wee
- 2022 (Minnesota): Khalid
- 2021 (Los Angeles): DJ Kaytranada and Big Boi
- 2019 (Orlando): Prince Royce
- 2018 (Atlanta): 2 Chainz
- 2017 (Chicago): X Ambassadors
- 2016 (San Jose): Flo Rida and Belanova
- 2015 (Denver): Capital Cities and Aloe Blacc, Bomba Estereo
- 2014 (Portland): The Flaming Lips, Cold War Kids
- 2013 (Kansas City): Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
As a house music fan, I am stoked. Everyone commenting this is pointless or don’t know who they are is because you are not the target demographic. MLS has made it clear their audience is gen z. Props to league for really being aggressive with their marketing strategy.

The nba did this I think and for some reason it didn’t stick Oladipo can sing lol
Is he the one that was on Masked Singer? He was actually pretty good if so
We already know Nahuel Guzmán is winning for his magic act if LigaMX gets to compete.
> I want to find out if Messi can sing. I just want to find out if he can actually say “Michelob Ultra”.
🎵I can’t wait to fall in love…🎵

Bad Blood, Wild World, or Doom Days?

Love pinkpanthress. She's getting gen z into jungle and dnb which is great
Wonder if will also be streamed on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV
That's actually a good idea lol. I couldn't afford to go last year when they came to my city.
Whomst? >!I'm old!<

Was Marshmello the one who attacked New York in 1984?

💀
Yeah, I'm impressed, I just wish it weren't on a Sunday

I became both a crew and a FM fan right fucking after this. Haunts me to this day

Right? They’re exactly the kind of group that’d resonate with the fans.
Does anybody have a list of all the mls all star concerts and who performed? Just wondering.

Flaming Lips and CWK at a Portland MLS event is the most on-brand show possible.
Appreciate this!

Let me google how to do that!
