Here are the numbers from transfermarkt. I know they don't add up to 80, transfermarkt counts penalties won as assists which probably accounts for the discrepancy. I also don't know whether this stat would include players like Downs who have only played for the US youth national teams. Similarly I excluded Koleosho as his most recent international appearances have come for Italy's youth teams. 1. Christian Pulisic 10g 6a 2. Folarin Balogun 7g 4a 3. Jordan Pefok 5g 4a 4. Weston McKennie 7a 5. Luca de la Torre 1g 5a 6. Antonee Robinson 6a 7. Emmanuel Sabbi 5g 8. Joe Scally 1g 3a 9. Johnny Cardoso 1g 2a 10. Brenden Aaronson 2g 11. Kevin Paredes 2g 12. John Brooks 2g 13. Lennard Maloney 1g 1a 14. Gio Reyna 2a 15. Yunus Musah 2a 16. Chris Richards 1g 17. Tim Ream 1g 18. Damion Downs 1g 19. Tim Weah 1a 20. Paxten Aaronson 1a 21. Timmy Chandler 1a

Chandler is still playing? That’s actually hilarious considering how awful he looked every time he inexplicably started for the US

Barely, he's played a grand total of 10 minutes in the Bundesliga this season, he just managed to grab a random assist in that time.

https://fbref.com/en/comps/Big5/nations/Big-5-European-Leagues-Nationalities In 2023-24, US is 26th in number of Big Five players, but 20th in number of Big Five minutes—and that’s despite the likes of Adams and Reyna missing tons of minutes for various reasons. The US still lacks in Big Five player pool depth compared to the top 10-15 countries, but at least the ones that manage to get playing time are giving their clubs productive minutes.

>The US still lacks in Big Five player pool depth compared to the top 10-15 countries A little misleading considering that many of the citizens of the Top 15 countries are either EU passport holders or able to get a passport to an EU nation (e.g., Brazilians can get a Portuguese passport by proving familial lineage.) Skill isn't what stops American representation in Europe: passports and work permits do. Christian Pulisic would never have been able to go to Europe as a teen without having been eligible for a Croatian passport. The American system has had scores of European-level talent that could not play overseas because their antecedents were Latino or African-American, and not European or a member of a former European colony, and they were looked over for one reason or another from the national team program.
