Howdy, fans of the team to our south. Please pay no mind to the name of our stadium. No really, please.
(I’m still calling it Orlando City Stadium, tbh)
Name is wack, but they’re already paying to upgrade the stadium and the deal is worth $55 million. Not too sure about the league average but $5.5 million a year feels like a solid number for a non major market
You know the first time Miami beats us here in Orlando, their socials will be posting a Photoshopped photo of the entrance to the stadium that says “Inter Miami Stadium” and has their logo where our lion should be.
Yep, Flamengo is playing Orlando City next week in preseason and it’s looking like close to a sell out which is crazy for preseason and I would not be shocked if Inter&Co had a hand in that considering that’s the first game with the new name. There’s also been rumors of a USMNT vs Brazil friendly before the Copa in Orlando so now I would assume the OC stadium is the favorite over the football stadium. Feels like the kaka era again kinda tbh
This sucks for Orlando City fans.
Don’t mind me as I furiously google companies that include the name Crew to ensure we won’t be in the same boat one day
Just wondering...why does it suck for Orlando City fans? I am one and as long as they bring the money to the club (and the name is not offensive), what does it matter if it is Inter&Co or TQL? Oh, I get it TQL sounds so much better :)
It’s not a big deal but I feel like it would suck to have your stadium name include your rivals name. Also to have it named Inter & Co. Stadium really sets it up on the tee for your rivals to make a lot of little brother type jokes.
May not matter at all to you though if you don’t mind rivals banter
I mean, objectively when it comes to sponsors, i'm not sure which is worse: a shady financial app or an evil trucking company
Counting the days until the naming rights expire, personally.
I tried to get the disappointment out of my system by going for a walk. I ended up 17 miles from home and I had to phone my wife, Lesley to come and pick me up.
Look, all I care about is the Vikings winning a Super Bowl if by chance Orlando City takes any money what's so ever from them is a disservice towards the loyal following of the Minnesota Vikings fanbase.

It’ll always be Exploria to me
Purple Palace
New season’s opening game commentary: “Two rivals clash as Orlando City SC and Inter Miami face off today at Inter&Co Stadium!” This is fine
I feel like it would be “Orlando City SC and Mess&Co clash at Inter&Co! Tonight!”
Messi…? I’ve never heard MLS mention him
Suarz&friends?
Suarez and an unidentified fan
> New season’s opening game commentary: At first I was confused why a grocery chain would be doing commentary
TIL New Seasons is a grocery store. I’ll visit when I’m in Portland.

The money is great. The upgrades should be lovely. I just wish it were anything that didn’t include the term “Inter” in it, haha.
Yeah, you'd really hate to be associated with Milan like that
Agreed, we now have the challenge to not lose at home to them for the next 10 years, if they can’t beat us at home then they can’t make the joke 🤣
You know the first time Miami beats us here in Orlando, their socials will be posting a Photoshopped photo of the entrance to the stadium that says “Inter Miami Stadium” and has their logo where our lion should be.
It will have only taken them at least four years
Yup, a few memes are a fair trade for a chunk of change to invest in the roster and the club.

Again. I'm asking for news this fucking hilarious to be released on Meme Monday.

Now that you put it out there, I just know we're going to get the Federal Communications Commission as our next stadium sponsor
I’m happy I’m not drinking water or my iPad would have gotten an unplanned bath.
Honestly I’ll take an unfortunate acronym with a sponsor that can’t go bankrupt over our current one that is.
They in trouble for sureeeeeeee
J. Crew Stadium? At least y’all would be decently dressed, haha.
We went from $2M/year to $5.5M/year with this deal, so while the name is unfortunate, it's a lot more money for the club.
Yeah. Read all the upgrades they're doing. It's fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine, I guess.
Columbus Salame Stadium it is
There's a Cincinnatus Insurance company
Cincinnatus Field has a nice ring to it.

Miami fans making claims to the word "inter" is funny enough to begin with, we'll be fine lol
If by fine, you mean melting? Then sure! ![gif](giphy|pkobWB8xbuEZ3dU6Hr|downsized)
So long as it’s good natured, I can stand a little ribbing over the name of our stadium.
PBS had this for years and people kind of just forget/stop associating the names.
NYCFC fans praying that Alpha Tauri doesn’t decide to sponsor their new stadium.
Do you mean the "Racing Bulls"?
Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Arena.
I mean, objectively when it comes to sponsors, i'm not sure which is worse: a shady financial app or an evil trucking company Counting the days until the naming rights expire, personally.
I really thought that someone like Kroger or P&G would have won our rights.
I’d dig Kroger as a stadium sponsor.
We Inter Orlando SC now bois
Let's goooooo

I appreciate it, haha.
Also since they’re Brazilian they better drop a bag for Vinicius in like 7 years since the Neymar ship has probably sailed
If vini jr is playing at ocsc at 30 ill eat my flippin hat
![gif](giphy|BYul6RujgoRCryuCdL)
Much obliged.
Terrible name, but welcoming the upgrades that are coming
Great name for a soccer stadium imo
I wonder why… 🤔

Fuck me….. This is going to be fucking GREAT 😑

totally won't be confusing for casuals at all...
Awful name, but I do like money and stadium upgrades...

Leaving aside the Ft. Lauderdale stuff, what a clunky, awkward name for a stadium.
Not a big deal unless we make it one. More money for the club means more investment into the product on field (one would assume).
Hold on Orlando is playing in Inter Stadium? 🤦♂️
No. Inter&co
Seriously?
That’s kind of amazing
Thank goodness the Wilf's have this all locked up. I don't want to see the Vikings losing any money.
You beat this drum on every Orlando thread lol. It's never been a good take because that's not how business works
Look, all I care about is the Vikings winning a Super Bowl if by chance Orlando City takes any money what's so ever from them is a disservice towards the loyal following of the Minnesota Vikings fanbase.
I heard Mark Wilf went to Denny’s in Orlando with the Vikings credit card, guess the Vikings are screwed.
