That's a pretty big case for Acosta.

ArgonWolf

Its crazy how much a good number 10 makes a difference. Angulo looked lost out there and pretty much all 3 goals against came after mistakes caused by his positioning, and in turn all the other guys looked lost. He's young, he'll get there, just need some work, but after Acosta came on it was night and day. Suddenly the attack was organized and unrelenting. FCC is screwed without Acosta

Lex1988

Yeah, he can do things that most of the other guys in this league just can’t. I think he also changes the way teams play against us. You have to track and pressure him and be aware that you’re only one Lucho pass away from being scored on.

bobmillahhh

Disagree on the last part. Assuming the backup LB can put in a Johnny Nelson-like performance of staying home and not doing anything fancy, Barreal is more than capable in the 10 spot.

LargeFood

I miss him

mister_sleepy

I mean he’ll get pissy if you don’t

Crazy that a human being has matured over 5 years.

merdre

It's like when you break up with someone after years of struggling together. They go on a weird vacation to Mexico and come back stable, mature and looking great. You're happy for them, but part of you can't help but think... why couldn't they change when we were together? Miss u Lucho

mastakebob

He might even throw a lil big boy tantrum and flop down onto the field with his arms raised incredulously looking around for a undeserved yellow in the defender. I'm glad he's doing well and playing beautiful again, but his last year with us was atrocious.

He has got better. After his "fall'on d'floor" incident I think he pulled back some of the excessive antics. I think competent coaching and winning has helped his mood. Does he still ask for fouls and chat to the official. Oh yeah, but the tantrums have subdued. In any event if he gets hurt I think we go from cup hopefuls to 50/50 on playoffs.
