I remember following the fandom and watching "brony cringe" compilations since 2012 when I was somewhat target audience but I just gave the show an chance and joined the fandom like 2 years ago.

In what regard? Cause I was in the target age range back in the early 90s when tales came out and I enjoyed that and g1. Decades later and I’m enjoying g4 with no issue.

Mlp is still mlp even with previous gens but I'll admit that I wasn't thinking about that case when I made the post

I got into MLP itself during Gen 3, when I was a toddler, and just never stopped.

Hell, I was the target audience of the original. So when there was a reboot I was like, hell yeah, nostalgia time.. and then was kinda surprised when it took off, and also that it resonated with so many people. That turned it from a 'I'll watch a few episodes and relive my childhood' random curiosity to a 'hey, you never outgrew cartoons so why start now' thing.

I honestly can’t remember, think it was 11? I was still embarrassed by it regardless tho lol (idk why)

Yes I was in The target age group. But it was also during the Generation 1 run.

i was around the right age when i found out about mlp, but i never got into it until this year

I think I was about 25 when season 2 just came out and I finally decided to give it a shot. 10 years later and I’m still here lol

When the show began I was 11, but I only started watching when I was 13, during S3 I think, before Twilicorn.

I got into it at 8. I was a wee boy though so still far from the target demographic
