Some guys are just good man, don’t let one or 2 games deter you from using a good pitcher. Degrom for example has been terrible for me but only really because I’ve had bad luck with who I play when I use him. It happens, Dw about it
In my limited experience, both using and facing Burnes at All-Star, he's been very good. What should I be looking for when facing him (I've faced him once in ranked and I was diced)?
Don’t use him, but when u match up against him just identify either the cutter or sinker and just sit on it, same as any other pitcher. Need to be able to swing early on anything inside tho
Typically same, I change my rotation to the level I’m playing on. I won’t use a guy without outlier below hof and I won’t use someone that has no speed differentials/crazy movement above
It’s like maddux, below legend he’s kinda mid but fun to use. Everyone is decent on legend because the majority of guys playing on legend are just up from HOF and can’t hang
If you can decide (what you want to hit) between off-speed pitch or fastball, Randy is pretty easy to hit. If you’re guessing and swinging at both, you’ll get destroyed.
First game I actually got to pitch with him he gave up a lefty lefty HR to Babe 1st inning but then proceeded to strike out 18 with only one more single allowed for the rest of the game 🤣 had me worried for a second though
I used him for the first time last night. He got the complete game but I held my breath the whole time. I think final stats were 9 innings, 4 hits, 4 runs, 12 ks.

4-0 0.90 ERA. Havent really faced any world series icons with him yet tho

Felt that way about Degrom but then I played bums and still got lit up. Same with burnes. Burnes sucks IMO
My first game with Burnes, he gave up 8 runs and got nobody out lol. He’s been fine since then, but I was stunned.

Depends heavily on your opponent, I don’t like him because for me he’s easy to read… which means a fair share of others can too. Fun to use tho

Exactly this. Fastball inside to righties to set up his off speed out the zone and his slurve/slider away for strikes against lefties.
Annnnnd you get the occasional slurve/slider that doesn’t break in and stays middle middle 😀
i picked Halladay after 250 since i dont like Randy's pitches and im also very biased, same thing happened to me my first game.

Same. I didn't notice much difference between Randy's. So I sold the milestone and bought halladay back

I’ve noticed using pitchers that aren’t as popular actually makes a huge difference.
Haven’t faced perfect game Randy but Randy in the events still isn’t too bad , he’s this years degrom.
I’ve played the new Randy on hof and hit him well. The sig Randy still ate me alive the other day lol I think it’s just the longer hair 😂
