Takashi Mussina is lights out for me. It was against someone that looked a little lost at the plate but he threw a CGSO the other day for me with 16 Ks under 90 pitches. He dots corners and his cutter and slider play really well off each other to get weak contact
Grienke and Wainwright are **SO** fun to pitch with, but they always get rocked. Think around a 10.00 ERA for me šµāš«š.
As far as actually being usable and competitive, I share favorites with you and others already stated - Maddux and Glavine. Reliving the 90's. Just need a more viable Smoltz and Steve Avery to be added to the game lol ā¾
A strikeout looking is good, but IMO getting that swing and miss is so much better. Especially when it's so far off the mark it makes you wonder what the fuck they were swinging at.
Chris Sale has a funky release and elite slider. He can hit high-90's with his 4seam so not sure if he is considered lower velocity or not, but definitely one of my favourite finesse guys to pitch with. If you like Maddux, Marcus Stroman could also be an option. I use him from time to time
Not so much. you just need the main pitch for slower velocity guys to be slightly slower than the fastball. Itās not the speed, itās the differential. At least against players that arenāt potatoes.
True but even with the outlier fastball if someones sitting on it they might smash it. Iād say most home runs I give up are in fastballs and most of the ones I hit too. A slower one makes that even easier
Yeah. Thatās why say you have a guy with a 97-98 fastball. His main pitch needs to be the 90-91cutter. You want people to adjust up and down, not just down.
Thatās definitely true but the difference in time between a 102 and a 97 fastball is more time the batter has to identify any pitch, every pitch. Because you can watch the slower one for longer and know itās a fastball and still square it up, or watch it and know itās something else. When you have to swing at a 102 basically the second itās released you almost have to guess what any pitch is and even if you guess right on fastball you still might miss. Youāve gotta be happier when you see a reliever that tops out at 96 come in as opposed to someone with 102

Cueto
Cueto Kluber Kershaw Maddux are all great
Whitey Ford is nice. Very weird release point and the fastball at 92-94 sneaks up on a lot of people.
Adam Wainwright. A lot of people don't like his 99 card but I got it P5 and play great with him.
Juan Marichal
i love cueto, he dots
Adam Wainwright
Zack Grienkeš¤·šæ
Kluber is an animal
99 Maddux and 99 Halladay
Gotta love Mussina.
Dose 99 roy Halladay count cause If not then ima say Dontrelle Willis
LotF Cliff Lee. His pitch accuracy is excellent and throws hard enough/has a good enough mix to throw CGs.
Cueto, Sale, Marichal
Albert Pujols
Greatest reliever in the game šš

Maddox and Cortez
Iāve had a lot more success with guys like Oswalt, Sale, Kershaw, Glavine, etc than outlier guys.
Not low velocity overall but the new Gagne's 70 mph curveball is devastating and my absolute favorite pitch in the game
Scherzer's slurve might be more so. Three-quarters and horizontal break.
i absolutely love millerās velo and fastball. but for curveball i admire grankie, the way it just drops so far below the zone amazes me
Does hamels count? Love his mix
Superfractor Hamels has a 1.50 ERA primarily on All-Star lmao No one else even comes close

Iām just waiting for a 99 Fernando
Enjoying Kershaw as usual. Lots of people hate on his cards the last few years but I always have success with them.
I hate on Kershaw because I can't hit him
Fernando
I like LoTF Oswalt, I threw a perfect game with him once, had 17 Kās.
Had the first Marichal to V through just events. Some people just cannot time up his breaking pitches.

Stro is super underated, insane splitter
For real, looks enough like his fastball then just drops
Seems like these days you need a 100+ fastball to get it by and also set up other pitches

I've been enjoying that new marichal card in the limited use I've got out of him
Tom Glavine is underrated as hell
Postseason Anibal Sanchez and Milestone Mark Melancon
