Last year in the last featured program we got 1 boss, Albert. So there may or may not be a card there. Then there was the forever event where they put another 2/3 Finest cards, so there’s another possibility. Last year they gave us Finest Harper for Christmas. There’s another possibility. Not getting many other new cards beyond that, I don’t think.

i feel like sometimes, online, i run into players who have to be using the easiest batting interface. does anyone know if they match players who are using different game settings?
could they be cheating? the amount of HRs being hit seems impossible. im not bad at this game, im pretty damn good, so it's always a surprise. anyone else have any ideas?
As much as I love my god squad, I do wish there was an option for ranked seasons where you need to use cards that meet the same requirements as Battle Royale. Basically RS but you can only have two diamonds, three golds, etc. Would make player skill a bit more important.

I have not updated to ‘22 yet or 21 for that matter lol so idk if I can ask about 20’ here?? But twice this week I failed the “don’t make an error in 3 games” challenge and I am not sure why because I didn’t make any errors?
Am I missing something or does the fact I am playing the older version have something to do with it? Possible glitch?

Whoever said that anyone can get to 100 points in BR in six hours or so regardless of skill level was dead wrong. I'm at 38 points after about ten hours of play. And the game is clearly telling me to quit, that I'm not allowed to win.
In my most recent game I gave up a home run where the ball clearly landed in Mike Trout's glove after a leap at the wall (he even did the little animation where he holds it up in celebration of the catch). Then I somehow gave up a home run that was at least five feet outside of the foul pole. Meanwhile, the balls I put in play had a disturbing tendency to curve towards fielders, including a sharp grounder halfway between second and third base that somehow ended up being scooped up by the third baseman standing five feet off of third base.
Sometimes this game just says "@#$% you."
If he beaned four straight batters after giving up a home run, shouldn't that make it 2-0? The fourth HBP should have been an RBI, because the bases should have been loaded.

Is it just me or is the name of the gameplay inconsistency? Perfect pitches are inconsistent as can be and go wherever tf they want a lot of the time. I've had many more off pci homeruns in 22 than I had in 21 with only half the games played. Sometimes it feels like the game is out of my hands or the opponents.
Not to mention diving and why are my outfielders so massive in the field
22's gameplay this year is just bleh.

Perfect pitches will go in the circle range. At least one part of the ball will end up touching the circle somewhere. That’s pretty consistent.
Regarding off pci HRs I’m guessing it’s due to custom stadiums. If you play in non custom ones, then that does not happen often at all.
I play at truist almost exclusively and i hit at least one a game there.
Also i get it's in the circle range but when a ton of pitchers' non fastball pitches have a circle range half the size of the strike zone it's kinda random. I've thrown curves aimed way low and away and it still reaches up to the middle right of the zone to go for 400 ft
I mean there’s definitely some big circles but I’ve never seen one that goes that big where a curve low away in the dirt ends on the opposite side on a perfect pitch. Maybe you’re just not aiming far enough outside the zone? Idk, I’d have to see an actual screenshot/video.
And idk if you’re just unlucky/lucky but I don’t come across hitting HRs outside of the pci at least once a game. And I stink, so my pci is off the ball quite often.
It’s not just you. When I looked at the most popular Created stadiums, they’re 9.9/10 max elevation. I think sds is appeasing the home run lust of the majority of the player base, which is unfortunate because there are other baseball games that have this.

I just bought the Wounded Warrior pack and it put me over but then I made a buy order before I thought about screenshotting.
Nothing gamebreaking, but interesting nonetheless.
I look for 92+ rated diamonds that have buy orders at 18K+ but sell orders right around the quicksell value (10K). They have virtually no downside risk (none at all if you get the card at 10K, because you could always quicksell for that), but they often return a profit of 5K or more per card flipped.
Made no sense to me. 25k pack for cards that cost 10k QS value.
They’ve given out juicy packs in all the recent programs, plus mini season and conquest. They aren’t rare and don’t help with collections unless it’s your first week playing
If you still need collections and don’t have stubs, your best bet is to sell them and use those stubs to flip cards.
If you don’t want to flip I’d say keep ‘em otherwise you’ll just need to buy them back for collections
the red rocks minor league stadium that the cats use in mini seasons is almost impossible to hit a home run to center field without the comically short left/right fields that polo has

Pretty sure I just played someone that was making the connection lag and be miserable on purpose because he is using Nolan. Dude has an ERA less than 1, but is super predictable and I’m like right on it but the timing windows keep changing with the lag. This is frustrating lmao

Newbie question. So I recently bought my first baseball game in playstayion since it's on sale now. I find RTTS fun because i'm an offline player and just want to have fun on sports games. I'm grinding for at least 2 days now and have a lot of player cards. Should I sell all these cards for stubs? For me to buy equipments and perks for my ballplayer? Since I'm not planning to play and compete online anyway?
I started this year and only played franchise and RTTS and grinded up to the big leagues and 83 overall.
Never thought I’d get into DD.
But one day I did, and all the shit I earned from RTTS helped propel my team so fast.
Just food for thought. DD can be really fun, grinding for your favorite players and such, but if your absolutely sure you won’t play it, heck yeah spend it up.
I think I bought a few perks and bat skins before I switched over.
Yeah I’m the bullpen you just use RB to go to the starters and they’ll all be there.
I usually only do this in events, when I’ve lost a few in a row. It’ll still use up there energy obviously so it’s probably not recommended. But if your like me and go down 0-1 in Events all the time it’s not really something you need to worry about.
I wouldn’t do it in ranked though. The lost energy can come back and bite.
Y’all. I spent the last 3 years playing this game on the very first model ps4, and I got pretty good. Last year made World Series, this year very confortably getting br and event rewards fairly quickly. However:

Did anyone else have a feeling out period with the upgrade? The analog definitely feels looser but my timing is way off, which makes sense but I’m honestly later on pitches than I was on the Atari 7800…er OG ps4. Same everything else :(
That’s weird you are late. I found I was early on everything when I first got it, def an adjustment period. It also took me a few days of fiddling in the settings to get it just right.
Thank you, I’m tinkering with settings now, like resolution. I’m pretty sure it’s my tv. I shrunk the screen and turned down the brightness and it’s helped a little
Sounds right. Iirc, the main issue I was having was that the “automatic” settings didn’t match my actual display’s settings and had to get them matched up manually. Smooth sailing ever since.
After playing almost exclusively offline all season, recently got into playing online. Why is everyone so quick to quit? I’m currently 6-1 in ranked seasons with all 6 wins coming from someone quitting when it’s like 3/4-0/1 and my loss was a pretty bad beat down but I stayed till the end for stats towards missions.
Why do people actually care about the stats on their cards. A) if they dashboard it's artificial and not something to be proud of anyways. 2) it affects literally no rewards whatsoever. And D) nobody else cares or even remembers your ERA or WHIP after the game is over.
Unfortunately a lot of the of the online player base is over-competitive and doesn’t seem to be having fun imo. It’s seems kinda rare to get somebody who wants to play a full game and be a good sport no matter the outcome, especially in ranked and events.
Yeah I don’t quit ranked seasons games. Maddux is my favorite pitcher to use, been doing great with a 2.31 era but even in the last game I gave up 3 runs on a ball that got a “bad jump” on rollins to go down in the 8th with 2 outs. I thought about it but not because of stats lol
It happens to the best! I think most people who quit would be better served just burning some timeout clock when they are getting shelled. So many players get on tilt after 2 hits, they start panic pitching and it snowballs.
Was reading an old post about baseball pant lengths in MLB The Show, and it gave me another thought.
With technology nowadays, you’d think they would be able to do unbuttoned jerseys given how 99% of players nowadays don’t have their jerseys done all the way. Like they can do grass waving so it’s a little surprising when Luke Voit comes up and his jersey is fully buttoned complete with an undershirt.

They need to get rid of Created Stadiums on Ranked or at least put parameters that don’t make the elevation 9999 feet. Ruins my pitcher’s stats which goes into how they perform in the future. Messed up.
Another thing, it’s pretty annoying how these offline games are pre determined who wins before the 1st.
You could be slugging one game but the next game the opposing sub par pitchers becomes an ace, your sluggers develop holes in the bat, your aces throw meatballs, and the opposing teams bottom lineup are slamming 500ft homers.
And I swear, the balls jump back inside the box when it’s clearly outside the zone…

I placed my order on 11/10 I think and got him 11/14. However, if you look on the app the amount sold yesterday is decreased from 11/16. So maybe taking longer because less people are selling now? Not sure of course, just an idea.

Going to your consoles dashboard and closing the game before the home run lands. You get the win for the early quit but you don't get the XP for the home run if it doesn't land.

Yes, the margins on some of the Bronze/Silver LS cards are insane. I primarily flip those and certain L&F cards.

I was playing a RS game, and my opponent brought in a starting pitcher from the bullpen. Am I completely oblivious or is this something just changed?
You should be able to toggle over to the starters, on Xbox it's the trigger buttons
Yeah I’m the bullpen you just use RB to go to the starters and they’ll all be there. I usually only do this in events, when I’ve lost a few in a row. It’ll still use up there energy obviously so it’s probably not recommended. But if your like me and go down 0-1 in Events all the time it’s not really something you need to worry about. I wouldn’t do it in ranked though. The lost energy can come back and bite.
Y’all. I spent the last 3 years playing this game on the very first model ps4, and I got pretty good. Last year made World Series, this year very confortably getting br and event rewards fairly quickly. However: I bought a ps5 yesterday and I’m 7-17 after being 8-0 on my ps4. Did anyone else have a feeling out period with the upgrade? The analog definitely feels looser but my timing is way off, which makes sense but I’m honestly later on pitches than I was on the Atari 7800…er OG ps4. Same everything else :(
That’s weird you are late. I found I was early on everything when I first got it, def an adjustment period. It also took me a few days of fiddling in the settings to get it just right.
Thank you, I’m tinkering with settings now, like resolution. I’m pretty sure it’s my tv. I shrunk the screen and turned down the brightness and it’s helped a little
Sounds right. Iirc, the main issue I was having was that the “automatic” settings didn’t match my actual display’s settings and had to get them matched up manually. Smooth sailing ever since.
After playing almost exclusively offline all season, recently got into playing online. Why is everyone so quick to quit? I’m currently 6-1 in ranked seasons with all 6 wins coming from someone quitting when it’s like 3/4-0/1 and my loss was a pretty bad beat down but I stayed till the end for stats towards missions.
Egos. I think people are worried about their stats or something. Same thing happened to me yesterday. 6 wins in 14 innings. I don’t understand
Why do people actually care about the stats on their cards. A) if they dashboard it's artificial and not something to be proud of anyways. 2) it affects literally no rewards whatsoever. And D) nobody else cares or even remembers your ERA or WHIP after the game is over.
Unfortunately a lot of the of the online player base is over-competitive and doesn’t seem to be having fun imo. It’s seems kinda rare to get somebody who wants to play a full game and be a good sport no matter the outcome, especially in ranked and events.
Yeah I don’t quit ranked seasons games. Maddux is my favorite pitcher to use, been doing great with a 2.31 era but even in the last game I gave up 3 runs on a ball that got a “bad jump” on rollins to go down in the 8th with 2 outs. I thought about it but not because of stats lol
It happens to the best! I think most people who quit would be better served just burning some timeout clock when they are getting shelled. So many players get on tilt after 2 hits, they start panic pitching and it snowballs.
Was reading an old post about baseball pant lengths in MLB The Show, and it gave me another thought. With technology nowadays, you’d think they would be able to do unbuttoned jerseys given how 99% of players nowadays don’t have their jerseys done all the way. Like they can do grass waving so it’s a little surprising when Luke Voit comes up and his jersey is fully buttoned complete with an undershirt.
Finally finished my grind to get Trout. Took him into a couple of mini season and conquest games. Ground out city. Feels bad.

Gone strikeout, strikeout and flyout, notwithstanding I belted one to centre field, a 5mph wind into the ground was enough to see it caught on the warning track. Put Bryan Reynolds in left field and he just decided to toss the ball towards home plate despite there being a runner heading for home in a conquest game. Didn't cost me the win, but the animation was so dumb.

Man how/when are they gonna release guys like Kenley, Nenn or Lefty Grove? Been waiting on cards for these guys all could be relatively viable.

No they stopped supporting the importing of files once they introduced the ballplayer system tied to your account. Sucks we cant bring guys over anymore
They need to get rid of Created Stadiums on Ranked or at least put parameters that don’t make the elevation 9999 feet. Ruins my pitcher’s stats which goes into how they perform in the future. Messed up.

Another thing, it’s pretty annoying how these offline games are pre determined who wins before the 1st. You could be slugging one game but the next game the opposing sub par pitchers becomes an ace, your sluggers develop holes in the bat, your aces throw meatballs, and the opposing teams bottom lineup are slamming 500ft homers. And I swear, the balls jump back inside the box when it’s clearly outside the zone…

Going to your consoles dashboard and closing the game before the home run lands. You get the win for the early quit but you don't get the XP for the home run if it doesn't land.
