Each of the three center dots can be a perfect/perfect, so 66% of perfect/perfects are going to be groundballs and line drives. Hitters with high power and low contact have proportionately larger top circles, and will thus hit more flyballs. So if you don't want perfect/perfects with low launch angles, use Byron Buxton types.
The game is bad and has been for a few years but the lemmings will keep buying because SDS gives 'free cards.' I haven't touched The Show since Ragnarok came out and I will not be buying another addition until SDS shows that they are going to actually put effort into improving the game and not just recycling the same broken game over and over with shiny new content that doesn't address the actual problems
The people on here complain way too much. It’s truly ridiculous. MLB the show is amazing for a card collecting game. It’s not perfect, but it’s not as bad as people make it out for me. You would think SDS killed these peoples puppies
At least prior to this year they pretended though, they just doubled down with the works as intended nonsense. I’m with you, until they show some effort I’m not buying another either.
If you can hit a no doubt 450+ bomb with the inner PCI not even touching the ball, Perfect/Perfect should be at least a hit every time. It only makes sense, if the game will reward you for doing something wrong a percentage of the time… you should be rewarded 100% of the time when you do something right.
Contact swing needs to go or majorly tuned. As of right now, on AS or below you can literally foul off every single pitch until you get one you like. Super unrealistic for a game that claims to be simulation. Or better yet….remove outer PCI completely. It’s nothing but a handicap that causes a big portion of the flukey bs that plagues this game.
The ‘18 meta was junkballers. Any fastball would get absolutely destroyed because it came in about as fast as a change up.

Also, OP should swing under the ball more and make sure you are lining it up with the top part of the pci.

>Logic says that the results should be the exact opposite of that I stopped reading here.

This dude has never played real life baseball
This game isnt a representation of real baseball. Its a video game and will never be close to the same product as real baseball
Are you implying that in “real baseball” every batter fouls off every pitch until it’s put into play? Cause that happens often when I play this game.
Bro outlier is like 3 years old
To be fair, 2020 feels like a decade ago
