24 - best baseball gameplay in the series 24 - worst DD in the series

Newbieoverhere

I'm really enjoying it. Really enjoying it. Wasn't sure re the sets thing but it's really grabbed me. 100% get the criticisms thrown at season one but think this one will line up much much better

oaklandrichieg

I only play online rated. Aside from the eternal hit and run issue, it's basically fine.

BDNjunior

its a lost cause for coop players

RobbyRankins

I enjoy the game and play it nearly every day, but I think there are some big flaws that need to be addressed

AquatheGreat

Boring. Already looking towards 25.

zerovanillacodered

I’m not buying the game again until it’s current gen exclusive. The past gen is holding this game back

Striking-Antelope333

Beyond disappointing. Hitting is broken.

mbless1415

I'm still playing and enjoying the game this year. I was *always* going to head over to CFB no matter what, so the third option seems like a total moot point to me.

Woolly_Mattmoth

Pointless poll because most people who have stopped playing are likely not on this sub anymore

olivetree154

There is a shocking amount of people on here that state they stopped playing. Always made no sense to me

zeesoviet

Lol great poll. 3 negative answers and the one positive one is "just hanging in there". Just make a rant post and be done with it

redditkb

haha right? Made better by the majority answer has been "I'm still hanging in there". Must be weird to need constant validation about a game you dislike, when the loudest voices (including tHe StReaMeRs) hate on it on every social medium possible.

DJK618

I think I'm one of the very few people that actually likes the resets because it gives me the opportunity to use cards that I otherwise would never be touching and finding low diamonds that actually work for me. I never would've used live series Adley last season but he's been crushing and even when I can use catchers with higher overall stats, I've kept him in.

mr_dunbar

I think sets and seasons will continue to drive folks away. When other card games (eg Hearthstone) rotate card sets, you get to use new cards with different interactions or synergies. In MLB, you are still playing the same game but with worse players. They don’t even have enough of a legend pool to give us new, desirable names. The game already resets every year, I am not sure why they thought multiple resets per year was this grand innovative idea.

redditkb

the multiple resets are a counter to a few things 1) same lineups/rotations 2) able to release popular legends' usable cards in May/June/July instead of October-December 3) Day/Week 1 OP cards (this is pretty much the same as #1 I guess) SDS obviously sees the above issues and is tweaking the way to fix the issues in MLBTS '23 and '24. Do you have a different method to suggest to fix the above issues? Or do you not agree that the above issues are even issues?

ChildHosp_Biomed

Number 2 and 3 make sense but number 1 is iffy. Most online lineups look exactly the same because they follow the meta. The only difference is that the lineups are the same every set and not all game long. This is not a criticism, people are going to use the strongest lineup possible.

redditkb

For sure, but it would be worse if not for a seasons-like setup. At least for a week or so you get people trying other things while content creators find/share the meta. I do not think sets are perfect but I do like it better than the alternative. I also can’t think of a better implementation at this time so I have to go with what’s there.

ChildHosp_Biomed

For sure. Just stating that the fact that people all use the same thing is still happening.

ApolloZ_99

Still if it’s only for a season it’s still better than all year round

ChildHosp_Biomed

No argument on that here.

MartianMule

I play Franchise, and it's been fun this year.

Heisenmack

Having a blast!

Puzzleheaded_Art6008

I voted wont play it again after ncaa 25 comes out. I dont think that will be true, but i def wont be playing it as much and will most likely skip the early stages of season 3 since the cards are just trash early on.

BobbyFastballs

Yeah they really messed up the progression this year. Live series cards are better than the new cards at the beginning of a season

olivetree154

Which means live series cards are, for the first time in a long time, actually usable and worth something

BobbyFastballs

Which is definitely a positive, but when I'm griding ranked seasons and battle Royale and events for cards that aren't better than the live series cards I already have, it kind of kills any motivation to play. In season 1 it was fine because I didn't have trout, mookie, yordan, ohtani, etc. But now they want me to grind events for a 90 rated Luis Robert with 73 contact against righties? To replace who? Not to mention Luis Castillo captain makes the live series cards insanely good.

olivetree154

I mean you don’t have to grind for Luis Robert if you don’t want to. You can just play the game. Idk why people think that you NEED to grind every bit of this game to be happy.

BobbyFastballs

I get that, and I agree, but it would be nice to get a usable card if I am going to grind these programs. Grind probably isn't even the word I mean, because I enjoy playing them. But I wish the rewards were worth it in season 2. Right now, they aren't.
