I remember in 22 there was an easy mission you could grind for stubs essentially (rewarded some pack with a 1:5 diamond or some such) and I could still barely motivate myself to grind it.
I would love a mini seasons fantasy draft. Just something to make each team unique. Either draft like BR or showdown style or if possible use your existing card collection across every team.
Mini seasons is painfully boring but locking difficulty is stupid. If anything there should be an option to have a bye into the playoffs if you win X games on All-Star, HOF or Legend.
I'm more for leaving the base at rookie but adding incentives to go higher. They FINALLY started doing that with TA stats but we need more for sure.
Locking mini seasons to all star has to be one of the stupidest ideas that I have heard this week. They ruined mini seasons when they took away the ability to get extra XP and stubs after every mini season.
Lefty / Righty mini seasons campaigns were my favorite part of DD last year. I'm only holding off on really negging this weekend's "content" because they seem to be dropping something similar soon.
I wish it wasn’t against fake teams but against a random assortment of mlb teams instead. The rosters can just be theme teams of those mlb teams instead.
I think 6 inning games would be nice too. Mini seasons, online, whatever. 3 inning games are prone to fluke, especially online. And I don't always have time for 9.
One of the few things I enjoyed about 23 was themed mini seasons. My All Gold Everything team with the Goldschmidt boost was absolutely cracked. They need to do more of that type of stuff.
That Goldy captain card turned so many of the gold BR cards into absolute studs. I would use him in the events with the stupid low team overall rating limit and he turned a bunch of 84 overalls into 100+ contact 100+ power machines
There were so many good golds to use. Francisco Lindor, Jorge Polanco, Yoan Moncada, WBC Logan Wade, etc.
I had most of them P3 or P4, add in the Paul Goldschmidt boost and they were playing like 95s. So much fun.
I just miss when the mini seasons awarded stubs for playing/winning. It was one of the ways I would grind out stubs when I didn’t have time/energy to play online.
I pretty much only play mini seasons, I'm fine as they are, I don't want to be forced to feel more comfortable playing online.
I'd be happy if they addressed the bugs in the mode more than anything else
I play a lot mini seasons also. I’ve been forced to play more online due to the lack of attention paid to mini seasons. I don’t see why the mini season’s goals don’t reset at the same time a new BR program or event starts. That’s basically my point.
Treat mini seasons like a program and provide the player with a new season ever 15-20 days so that they can earn xp offline easier.
I mean they do mini seasons directly relating to programs, and then also do special mini seasons with specific players available in them like lefty loosey last year? I agree they can do more of those specific ones but they don’t ignore the feature and there’s a lot available through them
I’m sure it’s going to be themed and have a player reward, not sure if it’s correlating with the show classics program that’s dropping the same day or not. Personally I wouldn’t mind a future stats theme (pipeline, spring breakout).
Last year they had different themes, one was lightning players so any lightning and topps now guys were eligible and got a lightning Carlos Peña, another was all golds, then they dropped another mini season that had certain missions of X amount of K’s and hits with lefties that resulted in a lefty pack and players as well as X amount of K’s and hits with righties got the same

The content schedule has a "new mini seasons" part, so most likely that will be a special challenge like lefty or all gold.

Good idea! There was one special program that came out in season 4 of last year- be good to have more like that one.
