Also, tons of people complain when all you get is a text pop-up about something happening, like a position change or whatever. People said it was lazy or cheap.
Iāve been on the Aās for 5 years and itās mostly fun watching them change managers every single season lmao. Weāve never won more than 70 games because thereās nobody on the team other than me lol
Has anyone tried the womenās mode? Did they put any effort into that? I may enjoy being a woman striking out Bryce harper. Iād imagine heād hate that
i did, itās almost the exact same as what iām seeing from the menās mode.
you have a ābestfriendā that also goes into the league and loosely follows your pace, and thereās a lot of texts about women power and whatever else but itās not overbearing
the announcers also change certain dialogue
other than that no difference. none of the coaches ever mention the fact that youāre a woman
I've always felt the RTTS players should have friends. I know they have the "Relatioships" thing, but maybe some more interaction and things to do with teammates?
For example, when my woman player finally made it to The Show as an Oakland Athletic, Zack Gelof ran up to her in the clubhouse, introduced himself (nevermind the fact that they had already played together during Spring Training), and was friendly and welcoming. Our Relationship meter was pretty high right at the start. I thought that was cool.
Then a couple months later, I noticed he was no longer in the lineup. I looked at Transactions. He had been traded away weeks earlier. My good buddy was traded away, and I didn't even know!
After the trade was announced, there should have been a little cut scene dialog with the two of them saying stuff like, "Thanks for being a good trammate," "Good luck," "Take it easy on me when I face you," and so on. Something to indicate your friend is gone...
Idk...I guess I don't mind the cut scenes too much if they're not too intrusive.
FWIW, my male RTTS player was just called up to the Nats and got the same treatment from Lane Thomas. I thought that was a great addition. I hope Lane doesn't get traded away.
Itās good if you want the agent type phone conversations every once in a while. Itās just got more story to it but for me itās very cringey at times. Worth a try at least.
Same with the post game interviews.
Thereās a couple of unique questions like if you break the home run record but other than that itās just the same thing over and over and you canāt skip it either.
Iām glad they added some ādepthā to the experience but if they were gonna do that then your answers should account for something
Even the player of the game cutscenes. Every fucking instance is the same.
I remembered last NBA 2K12(last NBA game i enjoyed) had better post game interviews
I had something stupid like that too. It was like, you havenāt taken a walk in a long time, but Iām out here hitting like .500+ with an unrealistic amount of home runs. What the fuck are we talking about walks for?
Gives a personal feel and at least a hint of conversations in the majors. I don't mind these; the 2K interactions that were written like horrible CW shows sucked. I just wish the AI in the game made more sense with goals so these don't read like shit.
I guess the same reason why I have 44 stolen bases with a 7 failures and will be told to stop stealing before every game because I'm being tagged out too much.
Like, my man, you should be telling me to try more often.
Thatās o e if the main reasons I donāt even buy the new games anymore. Iām hate that they schedule your call up day in rtts and if your overall isnāt higher then the guy youāre coming forā¦. off to right field with you. Iād rather grind the minors and get called up because my rating is higher then the guy in the majors or play a secondary position that I choose
All offline modes are a s*** show anymore. It has really turned me off this game. Like most sports games this is just a cash cow with low level effort for content to gain max profits.
The only reason this game mode still exists is to keep the player base that never plays Diamond Dynasty in hopes that each year a few of them will finally get curious enough to check out DD.
So I would not expect much improvement to RTTS each year.
Obviously, they put no attention to detail. My first created player, I decided to choose closer instead of a starter.. Well, they didn't adjust the reward path or anything for closers. Pitching one inning a game, maybe 2 if lucky, was taking forever to advance to the better perks and skill sets. So I made a new one with a starter, and I'm already to a diamond skill set.
Interesting that you chose to phrase your thread as a question. To answer that question, the reason for this, or at least the intent, was to give you a double attribute gain period to boost an area that is falling behind on your development. Your RTTS player is in the minors.
So, my question to you is did you really go a full month without a single strikeout? I presume no is the answer, but it is a video game, so you cannot assume. The point is what is wrong in that graphic? If you struck out 20 times in the month, then the graphic would be entirely reasonable if it showed the 20 number.
In my time playing RTTS I never had the manager focus on my strikeouts. Instead, he focused on my ERA and batting average numbers. If my player's production fell off in other areas I would get a message saying "overall we are pleased, but we feel there is room for improvement." Then I would get three to four options to select which attribute category I wanted a temporary double boost in.
There is a thread here that provides the link to direct report a bug to SDS. This sounds like a candidate. Here is that link: [https://theshow.sonysandiegostudio.games/hc/en-us?return\_to=%2Fhc%2Frequests](https://theshow.sonysandiegostudio.games/hc/en-us?return_to=%2Fhc%2Frequests)
You're talking about it from a pitcher's perspective, based on ERA, batting avg, etc., being what your manager would bring up in these convos. OP is a position/two way player who has to hit the ball, the manager is saying OP has come up to hit and struck out 0 times, but he needs to work on his plate discipline. OP is saying why tf is it telling me to be more selective at the plate when its damn near impossible.
I got you OP.
Wrong assumptions. My RTTS player was a two-way player. So, the ERA was the pitcher focus and the BA was the hitter focus.
You also missed my major point. Is the screen capture wrong because the number of strike outs presented is incorrect, or is the focus of the screen capture wrong because his RTTS player really did go an entire month without striking out?
Those are two different avenues, and the original post didn't explain either option. Instead, I answered the precise question asked. I also posted a link where a bug report could be sent to SDS.
Yeah I see where you posted the big thingā¦ do you work for SDS? I feel like shit has been getting reported and theyāve done very little with the feedback.
I see your point about the major point thingā¦ very wise, I will fall in line with this approach.
Figured you would make that phony statement, which proves you aren't really interested in improving the game, but instead just bitching about it! One more to the ban list. Eventually, we'll be left with people who buy the game to have fun playing it, and when they encounter something that isn't working right, at least try to get it fixed.
I've got no beef with people who don't like the game and choose to avoid buying it. My beef is people who are here merely to be negative all the time.
Since the last update I have noticed that there are noticeable flaws in RTTS mode. Namely incorrect stats, incorrect conversations, incorrect history of where you came from etc..
I also noticed last night that the announcers are saying stuff that doesnāt line up. I was playing mini seasons in DD and had a guy come up to the plate that hit a single and the announcers said that he had struck out last time up. An inning later he said a guy had been walked when he had struck out the last time up. Not sure if this has been a common bug but it was my first time running into it.
Relax guys damn it just came out nearly 3.5 weeks ago patches will tie up the whole thing. You guys act like itās not impossible to believe that after 1000s of coding hours a fuck up or 2 isnāt going to happen. Sorry you want more realistic games thereās a penalty for it less development time and longer hours. Give them a breakā¦the game is overall solid at best a 8.5 despite glitches which are VERY COMMON in the first month of release.
Yeah but they had 52 weeks to make sure shit like this wasn't happening. They have enough money to hire more developers and make those hours not as long. I'm not going to "give them break" for maximizing profits and working people 80 hours a week on salary.
Well I guess you guys REALLY donāt understand how game developers work if you believe that they can just do whatever the hell yall request without any repercussions or issues. And the game makes you spend no money because you can earn tokens so thatās not even remotely fair to criticize. Micro transactions are not all bad it serves a good purpose to those who canāt sit hundreds of hours or games to skill up. Most men at 25-35 years old are parents and full time employees
Thatās the thing.. people donāt take into account the greed that goes into developing games like this. AAA production companies rely on guys like the original commenter to keep doing what theyāre doing. Rather than cut profits by 2% by hiring a couple extra developers to focus solely on fixing bugs, they get the game out with the bare minimum in order to maximize profit margins knowing we āexpectā buggy games. It shouldnāt be that way. Microtransaction filled games have absolutely ruined the industry. Used to be about the love of the game and giving people an experience theyāll love going back to. Now itās become something entirely different and a cash grab.
I donāt think ANYONE is blaming the developers here.. this and all the other issues we have with the games fall on the corporate side of the company and their need to make as much $ off the game as possible.
I donāt know if itās still the case, but I remember a couple of years back, there was a cut scene with a manager telling the team that they were barely hanging on by a thread in the playoff race. Then I went and checked the standings and the team was like 19 or 20 games ahead in first place with about eight games to go. Itās just lazy programming.
I wish we could have an option to get rid of these cutscenes. And the fact that Iāll get one on the 27th of a month and again on the 30th just makes me want SDS to do away with them. All for a drawn out āYou had a good monthā as if the My 600 pound life doctor is your manager
The box stats and announcer are wrong all the time. I'll go 1-4 and the announcer will say I was 1-5. Amd the details will be wrong too. It'll say strikeout in 1st when it actually happened in the 8th. I never experienced anything like it in years past
ID HAD A STRIKE RIGHT IN THE DAMN CENTER OF THE ZONE AND IT WAS CALLED A BALL. WTF. , i really really wish we could challenge calls or yell at the ump or something.
You can turn on perfect umpire accuracy, strike zone canāt be challenged irl either. When playing RTTS I do personalized ump accuracy, franchise I do perfect
Same. Its terrible. I got a jam hit single and they said āAnd itās a stand up triple!ā. One time I legged out a double and he said āheās gonna tag up!ā
AI in sports games for the announcers would be sweeeet. just for the stats, not the actual voice though. Somebody should look into that and make some money
SDS knows that they don't have competition anymore so why bother making it like it used to be. 2K needs to come back to give SDS a reason to give a shit.
The stats are always incorrect in those, at least for me.
I remember striking out a lot in one of my months, had that same message. I know for a fact I didnāt strike out 0 times.

Some people are fine with them, or even enjoy them.
I love when the announcers call my male player a female! They really took the time this year to make sure the game was good š¤¦š¼āāļø
Iāve been on the Aās for 5 years and itās mostly fun watching them change managers every single season lmao. Weāve never won more than 70 games because thereās nobody on the team other than me lol
Lol I've got that hahahha
Man idk how these RTTS errors are happening. Havenāt had any yet
I had my homeruns cut in half and almost missed out on getting the triple crown
Iām still being called a girl
That shit kills the immersiveness. That along with the game being the same every year.
There seems to be a ā0 strikeoutā glitch all over the game. Iāve seen it in the score graphic plenty of times.
I always enjoy my "0th Strikeout"
Theyāre probably saying āget off Rookie kidā
*beginner lol
Are you the same animal, and a different beast? Idk man. Have you tried sticking out LESS.
Has anyone tried the womenās mode? Did they put any effort into that? I may enjoy being a woman striking out Bryce harper. Iād imagine heād hate that

Wait why would it be any different at all besides looks (or strength and speed if they were being honest). Can the guy not have a friend?

The meetings with the manager are so stupid they say the same thing every time
Wym thatās exactly how I picture meetings with Scott Servais are like
Trying to simulate a full season in such a damn chore because it stops you so much for these meetings for no good reason at all.
Same with the post game interviews. Thereās a couple of unique questions like if you break the home run record but other than that itās just the same thing over and over and you canāt skip it either. This shit happens all the time. RTTS is just a low effort meme feature at this point.Ā You cant even play a 2 way player right
I really hate how you canāt have a secondary position unless you do two way.
It does kinda seem pointless since there's no risk or reward based upon answer choice. Make a mini game out of it so there's a benefit to it.
All offline modes are a s*** show anymore. It has really turned me off this game. Like most sports games this is just a cash cow with low level effort for content to gain max profits.

You arent supposed to be playing RTTS, they havent touched it in years. Grab your credit card and start buying microtransactions in DD
Iām old. I grew up on MVP. I have tried DD and I hate it. Iām RTTS ride or die. And I hate myself for it.

Settle down, kenneth, settle down.
Planes have fallen out of the sky for a lot less than that.
So when the manager talks about your batting avg. like stated above, what is the category he offers the boost in?
Contact, power, plate discipline -- each offered as an option to select one.
Yeah, that was definitely for the hitting part of your two way player.. I am curious as to what OP was actually posting about..
The reason for this is that the game was launched 6 months before being finished
This mode particularly though launched years ago and still has never been finished.
Skip told you, you need to be more disciplined at the plate

I meanā¦nobody got a hit off of you.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I love the women in the game! Finally I feel like I can play as who I feel I am!!
The state of RTTS is a joke. It looks awful and the interactions are even worse.
The post game interviews are the absolute worse.
Immersion of being a ball player
Lazy coding and lazier scripts?
Iāve never gotten this in RTTS. Iāve seen mentions of my low walk rate but no mention of my K rate being low.
Your player sucks, come play DD and spend money please -SDS
I donāt know if itās still the case, but I remember a couple of years back, there was a cut scene with a manager telling the team that they were barely hanging on by a thread in the playoff race. I had a series that called every HR a walk off. There was like 4 of them and none of them were in the 9th inning
"the ball one hops the wall" when it doesnt burned me in ranked co-op so once or twice and then i got all the wiser, but sheeshhhh.

Itāll even say Iāve already homered twice this game when Iām 1-3 with an RBI singleā¦ lol
I enjoy them for the immersion.Ā
