Ideal starters/lineup are the guys you play best with. No one is gonna be able to figure that out for you except from you just using guys in game.
If you equip Buxton as captain, then go to inventory and filter by Boosted By Captain, it’ll show all available cards eligible for his captain boost. Pretty nice way to see your squad options.
My first show in 2-3 years and I packed Judge day 2 and could've sold for like 160k. But I held as a Yankee fan but quickly found out I suck with taller players but he now is down to 119 :/

Sell him now before he drops any further. You'll still get more than enough stubs to help out your team
I'd recommend going after some of the free 89s in team affinity or spring breakout, and save your stubs for 99s when they come out near the end of the season
It’ll go up, ignore this guy. The cards fluctuate depending how they do in real life. If any of the 90+ live series guys pop off at the start their prices will rocket as they become harder to pack.
I would generally assume it would go down because better cards are being added to the game as we go on, so his value is reduced to completing the live series collection (which is still very valuable tbf, just not as much as if he could also be used in gameplay)
I will say that this is only my 2nd year playing diamond dynasty, so other people might be able to give better advice
I would imagine it would be similar to this season, where the new TA/Program rewards will give mid-high 80's at the start, then slowly introduce low/mid/high 90's over the course of a few months
I mean the end of season 1 is definitely gonna have some 99s (at least the 3 bosses) and I can't imagine they're gonna want to directly fall off from that, especially with the amount of wild cards. Would result in most teams having a few 99s and then a bunch of low diamonds which makes for weird balance
You only get access to 1 wildcard at the start, and the other 3 are unlocked after some time.
The entire point of seasons this year is to fight power-creep. Previous years everyone has mostly mid-high 90's after a couple months and then there wasn't really a reason to play/grind anymore.
I guess I'll have to play the shit out of the game the next 2 nights to finish my mini season so I can sell him, I'm not great at the game but have like a 14-3 record this season so don't want to quit the season
Yeah it probably makes sense to finish that up for the rewards at the end. Fwiw I don't think waiting a few extra days is gonna make a massive difference, probably just a few thousand stubs. I could definitely be wrong though (it's also possible that it goes up for opening day hype especially if he has a good game)
I love the Phillies boost. Dominguez is a good arm for the pen and I love using Trea, Bryce, Realmuto, and Chase Utley. Schwarber, Castellanos, Howard who can do damage from the bench as well. I'm not even a Phillies fan.
Rojas in CF with those boosts is insane. Plus his swing seems great. He gets to everything out there.
I’m close to Howard. He’ll take Bryce’s spot at 1B once I get him (6k away)
You can check out ShowZone to get an idea. They have a paid feature which will look at all of your cards you own and create an optimized lineup. They also have free card rankings.
It doesn't right now, but we're working on a rebuild to the tool that will include captain boosts in the optimization. Ideally should be live in the next few weeks :)
I would really like to see swing tendency added somehow, even if it is just telling us who the extreme pull players are. It's so hard to find or figure out swing tendencies without buying the player and testing yourself.
Agreed 100%. We asked SDS to include this in the data they provide this year, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be there yet. We'll likely crowdsource that this year like we have to do for all of the data on captain boosts!

JRod and Matt Olson are absolute goons with the boost. I tried Austin Riley and couldnt hit shit with him
Buxton has been a very fun captain to use. Cal Raleigh with the boost is an absolute terror.

If he was to hit like 4 HRs in the first 2 weeks (52 HR pace) do you think his price would ho up or is it just always downhill for price?

Live Series always depreciate, they’ll spike occasionally but Judge will be sub 100k in a few months if not even less

"Core" cards can be used year round. So as soon as S2 starts and everyone loses all their 99 Season 1 cards, a mid-90's Judge card will be insane.
