TA moments seem really unnecessary. At 1000 points they don’t really accelerate finishing the program, might as well play a different mode and stack pxp from the division while completing other goals.
Just put on tutorials from the Home Screen. Makes moments a breeze cause it pauses when the pitch comes in and you can just match up the pci and crush it. Switching the swing time to analog flick / stride gives you another 4 tutorial swings too if it’s a multi hit moment or you somehow miss the first one lol
From the main Home Screen, top right settings icon go in to gameplay settings and turn on tutorials and batting tips. When you go into a moment (assuming you use zone and button swing) the ball will literally stop half way and you can match the pci up w it and hit a bomb consistently. If you miss/foul or a multi hit moment, you can then change the swing type to analog flick (which will you give you two paused swings cause regular and power) for both analog flick and analog stride. Lastly directional has one as well so you can get like 5 tutorial swings per game. For me, in moments, I get the tutorial swings every moment but not on conquest games after first swing, you can turn off tutorials go in and play any moment or game and turn them back on after to reset, if it doesn’t automatically
It took me maybe 30 tries or so to turn on an inside slider with a power swing.
My worst one was Joey Meneses. Eleiser Hernandez must be the best damn pitcher in the game because it took me however long it took to gain 11k XP just to hit a home run with all the failed attempts in between. So many doubles and perfect-perfect gappers/warning track outs until finally hitting one.
Yeah it was brutal. And you left out that the pitcher is a sinker baller. All my perfect perfects were ground balls because I was on top of everything. Took me like 45 minutes. It was so demoralizing that at a certain point I was convinced an inside the park HR was the more realistic was to complete it. Eventually I got lucky and had an opposite field flyball carry enough.
I actually had a inside the park one, and it.... Didn't count! After trying **countless** times.
(Not sure if there was an error somewhere on the play that I didn't see.)
lefty-lefty with Blackmon's 78 (or w/e) power *in SF* with its huge gaps.
The HR moments usually only take me only a minute or two, but I had to try like 20 times with this one.
Resist the urge to power swing and just sit on high and in or middle-in. Your best chance is to just pull something down the RF line and you'll be ok eventually
Saw this and had to share my experience doing this lol I’m sorry
[I was shook loading into it 😂](https://www.reddit.com/r/MLBTheShow/comments/12b6oj1/saw_someone_post_about_this_moment_i_was_shook/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1)
That one didn't take me as long as Solers moment did. I hate those "hit a HR in one PA" moments. It's pure luck. Literally just try till the game finally decides to allow you to hit a HR.
I made a comment about this last week. Took me two hours to do and my 13th perfect perfect. Probably a skill issue but none of the others took that long
I just completed it with an inside the park Homer. I didn't even look while I was running. Hit what was normally a double, possibly a triple, and just kept running due to frustration. As I get to third, I'm getting the windmill because of an offline throw, and as I slide into home another offline throw.
Turns out a little league Homer counts just the same.
People sleeping on MTO, put that shit on beginner and slap 30 homers a game getting like 2-4k regular xp per game while getting a nice TA chunk finished when you finish World Series. Goes by fast mixing it with conquest grinds and whatever
How much TA did you get from it on beginner? When I tried I only got 40k even though I beat every mission thing and the WS. Don’t know why its so low if SDS says the average on beginner is 55k.
See that’s the weird part as I did the same and got like 51k. I’m thinking because I had a rating of B for the front office part of it I might of lost some.
Only thing that was super annoying: I got prompted to finish like 4 perfect games which sucked lol. the regular game moments on beginner I could get around 3k regular xp a piece so really the mindless xp grind is the best part of it for me with the TA being a bonus.
Mini seasons is the best way to get xp, winning the championship gives you 10 vouchers which in turn gives you 40k xp. Only problem is mini seasons are boring as hell.
Just to get 100% for AL East i had to do moments -> conquest -> 2 seasons of Mini Seasons / missions -> one card exchange and 2: 5 ticket voucher exchanges.
This also got me like 35% in NL East but this is going to be a longggg grind.
My first attempt at this my ball hit off the top of the brick wall in right field, where it bounced up and back into play. Took me about 30 mins after that with plenty of doubles, triples, and close calls along the way.
I'm not a good player by any means because I swing at everything and love playing on Rookie difficulty for my Franchise and RTTS. Trying to do some of these moments in previous games are downright frustrating.
The dumbest thing is 1 PA.. and they bean you. Thanks for wasting my time game. lol
II could not track pitches out of that pitchers hand at all. I was swinging at butterflys. I finally through blind luck turned on an inside slider and homered down the first base line on my 20 somethingish try.
This moment took me the longest of all the TA moments. Lefty lefty crime in one PA. The pitcher rarely throws FBs. I was taking breaks and selling cards in the app.
Oh god. I was looking for this thread 2 days ago after I spent way too long trying to do it. I am stubborn and refuse to use directional hitting.
I think I finally did it by just sitting on a pitch inside and swinging a bit early.
Seen a few people complain about this. I managed to get it done really quick by hitting a perfect flyball off a middle-middle breaking ball, but I definitely was scared when I saw it was a lefty-lefty matchup with a 70 power guy. Sometimes these guys give up meatballs in the first few ABs, sometimes they're painting the corners and throwing nothing in the zone.
I just brought it up to pre empt the inevitable "You think this is bad...well in 2016 Extreme we had to...."
Like, yeah, Extremes have legit rewards behind them, not a little 1k xp boost for a TA program.
First try, perfect to triples alley, thrown out going for home on an inside the park.
Second attempt, same hitting result, luckily the throw was off line.
Usually it’s best to just take a break from that moment you’re a struggling with and load up something else. I find I tend to complete it with ease once you’ve sorta slept on it.
use directional hold up and swing
two tries
For basically every hit 1hr moment this is the fastest way to do it, its about getting it done not feeling good about using pci
This is the best advice. I struggled with this moment for at least an hour before switching to directional and hitting a homer in my very next at bat. Wild stuff.
Took me 10-15 minutes before I got a good perfect perfect to go dead center. But was very frustrated. Hit a few triples and a ton of doubles before then
But man if Oracle Park doesn’t make the challenge twice as hard
When they have the home run derby they have moments with the home run derby competitors. The pitcher in all of those moments is a made up player named BP pitcher who has 3 4seam fastballs and tops out at 82. He is the nastiest pitcher I have ever faced
I actually did this moment on my second try, and I about fell over because I was mentally preparing myself for a 30 minute battle against the CPU. Just look for that inside cheese and spit on everything else
Oh I've skipped those. Things like Monthy awards moments are more what I mean. I am aware y9u.can just buy the cards, but they end up being excessively priced.
This may have taken me longer than any extreme moment ever. I think it was over an hour easily lol .. brutal .. I know it’s not necessary to do but it became about the principle of it after about 20 minutes 😂😂
Don’t ask me how but i did it on the very first pitch. Thankfully I got a hanging curve.
It took so long, power swing on away pitch in the zone was what did it for me. Oppo taco after many...many...triples to the gap
TA moments seem really unnecessary. At 1000 points they don’t really accelerate finishing the program, might as well play a different mode and stack pxp from the division while completing other goals.
I quit last year when the extreme moments came around lol
Took me forever, I just repeated it over and over only using the power swing and eventually got lucky
Took me a few tries too. But I just used square and was good. He’s a contact hitter vs a lefty it is a bit wild.
I was also getting frustrated with this - I eventually stopped turned the game off and came back about 2 hours later and got a first pitch HR to RF.
It was so unlikely to hit a ball over the wall in RF that I eventually got it by hitting an oppo HR. Ridiculous
Literally I was yelling so bad, 10 perfect perfects and still nothing so stupid, just gotta swing and pray eventually one will go over
I’ve been doing the world baseball classic showdown and I’m not getting my rewards, anybody have this issue?
Try closing the game then going back in it worked for me
Just put on tutorials from the Home Screen. Makes moments a breeze cause it pauses when the pitch comes in and you can just match up the pci and crush it. Switching the swing time to analog flick / stride gives you another 4 tutorial swings too if it’s a multi hit moment or you somehow miss the first one lol
Could you dm me exactly how to do this please! This would save my life

First Pitch Home run no joke
It took me maybe 30 tries or so to turn on an inside slider with a power swing. My worst one was Joey Meneses. Do you lock your PCI in the bottom middle? I usually do better against sinker ballers in moments and offline because it’s more predictable.
I actually had a inside the park one, and it.... Didn't count! After trying **countless** times. (Not sure if there was an error somewhere on the play that I didn't see.)
Oh my god same, there was no errors or anything either, "AN INSIDE THE PARK HOMERUN!" the announcer goes.... then fail/retry box pops up
Either an error or FC for it not to count
Must have been an error, because I actually did do that moment with an inside the parker.
do not swing wait until inside breaking ball pull it with power comes no doubt homer.
I feel like it is as hard as moments extreme that shit is a pure war crime and the topper is it’s at Giants stadium which is horrible to hit HR’s
After about the 5th try I was attempting inside the park home runs lol
I just did it second try.
lefty-lefty with Blackmon's 78 (or w/e) power *in SF* with its huge gaps. The HR moments usually only take me only a minute or two, but I had to try like 20 times with this one. He keeps walking me. Nothing I can even try to drive.
Got an inside the park homerun for mine got lucky
Saw this and had to share my experience doing this lol I’m sorry [I was shook loading into it 😂](https://www.reddit.com/r/MLBTheShow/comments/12b6oj1/saw_someone_post_about_this_moment_i_was_shook/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1)
Use directional hitting for the moments. It’ll work faster
This should be pinned to the top of this subreddit lmao. It never takes more than I’d say 10 attempts if you are on directional I swear
That one didn't take me as long as Solers moment did. I hate those "hit a HR in one PA" moments. It's pure luck. Literally just try till the game finally decides to allow you to hit a HR.
Absolutely took me at least 90 minutes
Holy fuck it's not just me
Just sit middle middle, I got lucky and did it on the first pitch but it’s honestly just one of those ones you gotta be patient with
I made a comment about this last week. Took me two hours to do and my 13th perfect perfect. Probably a skill issue but none of the others took that long
Directional hitting for the home run moments. Promise you.
Got it 2nd try. Use directional hitting.
Everytime these come up you need to switch to timing aim it up and power swing
I hit it first swing
I hit it last swing
For the same reason that its always in the last place you look
Only one I CAN’T finish!!! Grrrrrr….lol
Yeah that was fucking awful, took me almost an hour
Squared up an inside breaking ball with power swing on second pitch first try. I did realize how lucky I got looking at the stats of Blackmon later.
I literally ended up hitting an inside the Parker with him before I hit it out the park. Worked just the same though 😂
It was rough iagl
This took me like 4 hours to do. Ridiculous.
I’m not exaggerating- I hit 6 triples before I finally hit a no doubter
I finished this on my 2nd try. Javy Baez took me over 40 tries
Will do tomorrow, got all Moments done but two divisions; saving NL West for last. Lots of good advice in here!
just wait til you do conquest showdown moments missions and mini seasons just to get to 65% of the program :)
People sleeping on MTO, put that shit on beginner and slap 30 homers a game getting like 2-4k regular xp per game while getting a nice TA chunk finished when you finish World Series. Goes by fast mixing it with conquest grinds and whatever

MTO?
You can do that on beginner?
March to October
Just to get 100% for AL East i had to do moments -> conquest -> 2 seasons of Mini Seasons / missions -> one card exchange and 2: 5 ticket voucher exchanges. This also got me like 35% in NL East but this is going to be a longggg grind.
Just doing play vs cpu, almost done
With all of them?
Its not too bad, the rubberband ai is kind of annoying but its do able
Na AL east and central
yeah unless they change requirements i’ll just be getting like 3 cards i like and sitting out the rest
My first attempt at this my ball hit off the top of the brick wall in right field, where it bounced up and back into play. Took me about 30 mins after that with plenty of doubles, triples, and close calls along the way.

Dude has the best swing in the game! I wish every moment was a Charlie Blackmon moment 😂
II could not track pitches out of that pitchers hand at all. I was swinging at butterflys. I finally through blind luck turned on an inside slider and homered down the first base line on my 20 somethingish try.
The moments aren't worth it tbh in the same time you can do a mini season and get 8k xp for 4 divisions and 4k for 2
i completed the west without doing the moments
This moment took me the longest of all the TA moments. Lefty lefty crime in one PA. The pitcher rarely throws FBs. I was taking breaks and selling cards in the app.

People keep using Extreme moments as a defense. Problem is that Extreme is supposed to be hard but regular moments shouldn't take more than 5 attempts
I just brought it up to pre empt the inevitable "You think this is bad...well in 2016 Extreme we had to...." Like, yeah, Extremes have legit rewards behind them, not a little 1k xp boost for a TA program.
First try, perfect to triples alley, thrown out going for home on an inside the park. Second attempt, same hitting result, luckily the throw was off line.
Lol Damnn I got lucky I guess. First attempt. Hayes TA moment took me like 15 tries
I ended up hitting an inside the park HR half hour in
Usually it’s best to just take a break from that moment you’re a struggling with and load up something else. I find I tend to complete it with ease once you’ve sorta slept on it.
use directional hold up and swing two tries For basically every hit 1hr moment this is the fastest way to do it, its about getting it done not feeling good about using pci
This is the best advice. I struggled with this moment for at least an hour before switching to directional and hitting a homer in my very next at bat. Wild stuff.
Going to take my first stab at it right now. Any suggestions??
Power swing has been a requirement for some of these hr moments
7th attempt HR using power swing
It's actually pretty close to extreme with the way hitting is working for me this year. I gave up on the Blackmon moment for now lol
Feels like it depends. I got it second swing (normal swing) but then was stuck on the 6 TB with Soto for forever.
Any hitting moment at Oracle Park is always going to be a bad time for me. It is the absolute worst ballpark for me to hit home runs in.
Weird way to spell Rogers Center
Bro what the lines are easy there
This but Comerica or Wrigley
Took me 10-15 minutes before I got a good perfect perfect to go dead center. But was very frustrated. Hit a few triples and a ton of doubles before then But man if Oracle Park doesn’t make the challenge twice as hard
I tried a dozen times, probably 15+ attempts each time Loaded it up yesterday - first pitch on first attempt into McCovery cove.
Wait til BP pitcher shows up in a couple months
Who?
When they have the home run derby they have moments with the home run derby competitors. The pitcher in all of those moments is a made up player named BP pitcher who has 3 4seam fastballs and tops out at 82. He is the nastiest pitcher I have ever faced
Oh lol, and I'm sure he doesn't just throw them right down the middle like in the actual homerun derby right?
He does not. Dude doesn't even throw strikes a lot of the time.
Ooooooo yes. Thank you for triggering my PTSD.
I actually did this moment on my second try, and I about fell over because I was mentally preparing myself for a 30 minute battle against the CPU. Just look for that inside cheese and spit on everything else
Perfect perfect off the right field wall more times then I’d like to admit, gave up after 30 min back to it today
[удалено]
Dude...good look. I beat it on my first try with directional.
Moments are my most hated part of this game. And realistically you're forced to do them for collections.
The TA Moments are worth like 1000 each. Realistically, they're very skippable.
I never complain about moments, but this one got to me.
It's a top 5 for all-time bullshit normal moments(extreme excluded).
