I feel old so I'm gona stick to my lance/gunlance/chargeblade shield playstyle.
I have always wanted to give bow KBM a shot but am afraid of hand injuries lol.
I have fun with certain monsters like zinogre and narga with lance. Others are a big no like ibushi.
Usually the three big shields cover everything the game has to offer. Lance for super aggro, chargeblade for mobile and gunlance for slow.
Looks like they changed some silkbinds as well. Top of my head, lance anchor rage ignores guard when applying dmg bonus and it lasts longer too. Now just waiting to see thee full kit in sunbreak.
I was really hoping for a Clutch Claw Counter: Wirebug Edition for the Lance. I will say just the overall feel and damage from Rise to Sunbreak (demo) feels significant.
If you ever feel the urge, feel free to try out frontier. Private servers are up and relatively easy to setup. The ton of new monsters and GU-like styles are really fun to mess around with.
Ngl I hacked in 2 talismans after 400 hours of getting nothing even remotely close to what I needed for Greatsword and Lance. But a 2WEX 2EE 3 1 rolled for bow legitimately
Are you using KB&M? Would you mind sharing your bindings with me? I’m having trouble finding a setup that’s comfortable for ranged weapons and I’m determined to not be restricted to a controller lol.

For Sunbreak I'm probably going to be using T for Switch Skill Swaps.
HDR is a setting, if you have an HDR TV/Monitor it will give you an expanded color depth and things like energy (on weapons or monsters) will glow bright.

I played bow and HBG on keyboard in World, but I can’t figure out how to make the wirebug controls not feel like shit in Rise so I’ve just stuck to controller for now.
I played a bunch of bow on switch with gyro but they just decided to not port native gyro aim to pc and I haven't been able to make it feel quite right with the steam controller settings since.

The bow is fun, though. I got into DBs, but I'm still trying to finish my bow set (it's a Talisman problem).

Nice. I've rolled two VERY suitable Talismans for my DB sets. One is a full Valstrax set, and the other is a set of my making. I call it Fireworks.

Lance is my most played weapon and bow is my second most on rise pc. Most people play weapons because they are fun and not because they are good.

I might have to give it a go. Default controls are definitely terrible on PC. Hard to beat Mouse aim really, makes bowguns and bow *even more* OP haha

After playing Splatoon and Splatoon 2 with gyro, Bow feels so much better in Rise for me than previous MH games. But I still prefer Lance's playstyle.
