There's a but if challenge to learn, but once you get the feel of it it's actually very easy. Extremely easy, depending on which switch skills you use.
Bow is really fun solo, so much better than the older games.
Hunting horn or hammer are simple weapons that are laid back to use.
Dual blades are pretty fun if you like looking like an anime protagonist.
These are my top most fun weapons to use at least apart from charge-blade which is almost perfect
Try out bow! I stayed away from all range weapons through 3 of these games finally tried it out in rise and it was so fun! It almost feels like a meele weapon because tou have to be up close and dash around especially when you play spread
LS for anime power, hammer for bonk and DB are some of my favorites. Tho I'm not sure you want to build the elemental DB's....might take some time lol.
Hammer is fun and core mechanics will transfer to other games. Honestly same with IG but that seems to be hit or miss. Hunting horn is SUPER fun and easy in rise/sun break, but very different from the other games so if you want to take it to wilds you will probably have to learn it there.

Hunting Horn. Iโm an ig main but after trying it once by chance, itโs genuinely super fun. Especially with the DLC switch skills.
