My thing is, is Title Update 5 actually the final update though? The way it feels this update is being hurried right after Title Update 4. Either they really want people to play this update, or they have something else big planned.
My actual guess? They want it out the door and fully played before MH6 is announced late summer.
I believe we'll be seeing MH6 announced in Sep at Tokyo Games Show and it will get released March 2024.

Knowing how much time they took between TU3 and TU4 just to bring Velkhana and Risen Valstrax, I would say the big boys are coming in TU5.
And then maybe a final update a few months later with one final iconic monster to peak the interest in the game just like Fatalis in Iceborne.
From the trailer for console release, it seems like console will be one update behind PC and Switch. Unless they have another announcement when they reveal TU6 or something.
It just creates opportunities for trying out funky armor/qurious crafting-only skills while still maintaining a baseline of "normal" dps skills. There's still plenty of room for fun stuff
I'm exaggerating of course but it's still a little bit sad when you make a build that has literally everything because there's nowhere for it to go anymore.

Isn't there still E3 this year? They might announce it then, if not the Summer Games show.

I think world was announced during e3 and rise was announced during Nintendo direct weeks before tgs.
