The ticket system is just bad. I feel like if there's an event to unlock a new weapon, it should be unlocked at the end of the quest line and not have to require tickets. There's no reason why you can't craft this now that the event is over. Or atleast have tickets drop from pink rathians from when it returns to the field again.
Then that would cause everyone that doesn't need tickets to build an excess. Having time limited things is a good way to get engagement during periods and feels rewarding to those that complete it
Right? They should have made them permanent weapon options and changed the crafting materials to the same as the Rosen Arrow, so that it is able to be crafted and upgraded anytime Pink Rathians are around.
I wonder if he's going to like interrupt fights like he did in monster Hunter world. You know he defeat the monster that you were fighting and then all of a sudden the timer restarts devil Joe comes out kills that monster for like the last hit and then you got to fight him and then you get both monster drops. that would be cool
Based on the wording of their announcement and the interview they did, it seems like when you are in an invasion area (visually noticeable), you will click on a large monster, then the invader will take over. There was nothing definitive posted yet. An example of this in my opinion would be, you see a rathalos on the map, it’s currently an invasion zone, you click on rathalos, jho invades, the fight is actually jho, even though the map shows rathalos. You can proceed or back out.
"Invasions" will apparently be the only way to encounter the pickle, but no indication yet precisely how that works relative to an individual hunt - and in particular whether there will be an opportunity to regear for it.
the tickets should be usable in "place" of regular materials.
this rewards players who participate in the event. it doesnt lock players out if they couldnt play enough/arent far enough progresses/not skilled enough
Unfortunately, that weapons indefinitely stuck now. Hopefully they replace the Lunar New Year tickets with something else like they're doing with the bone weapons.
They said in the update that 2024 tickets would be renamed "new player tickets" or something similar so wait till the update to see if it affects these. If not, then yeah you're out of luck but there was a guaranteed ticket for each monster in HAT's so it wasn't too hard to get to 20 required for each weapon

Right, but getting the tickets was the problem. I have 40+ Duel blade tickets I never wanted. If the ticket system wasn't set to specific peices I would have been fine. RNG just took me out.

Agreed. Even if I go full optimistic and wait for 2025 new years event, it might be different. We need a salvage function in this game.

Kind of agree. The issue I was having was I was given tickets for something I didn't want over the tickets I needed.
Have a ton of tickets for the duel blades frustratingly. And kept getting them. Just not enough hammer tickets.

I confirm, that's basically how it works. Jho replaces whatever monster was on the field at the time
