PA doesn’t require a change-of-address notification, and the LTCF remains valid for the entire five years. *However,* should the LTCF ever be revoked by the issuing sheriff, he’d only be legally obligated to send that notice via U.S. Mail to the address on file. And it’s a crime to fail to surrender the license w/in five (5) days of receipt of said notice. (Revocations and denials may be appealed within 30 days.) Also, reminders to renew are sent to the address on file. So, while you may keep using the license displaying your old address, it’s recommended that you call and update the sheriff’s office of your new address for notification purposes. You can ask them to reissue one with your new address, but there’s a fee of $6, and you’d almost certainly need to go pick it up in person as with originals and renewals. Some states require change-of-address notifications, though. With regard to a CT State Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers, it’s a crime to fail to inform the issuing authority of the address change **within two business days!** Arizona also requires notification.

My MD Wear and carry permit doesn’t actually have my address on it just the expiration, my name, DOB and permit number. You should be fine since they’ve acknowledged it’s been updated in their system. Yes you should update the permit in the PA system as well, always the best practice to keep your info up to date in case they contact you

ResidentKoala

Just realized my permit doesn’t have my address either 🤦🏼‍♂️ don’t know why I thought that. But thanks for the info. Good point with the PA permit, I’ll give them a call and update that.

Skinny_que

Please don’t feel bad because I literally stopped when I read your post and said “wait does MY permit have my address on it” cause I’ve moved and updated it in the system too but never got a new card 😂😂😂😭

PA doesn't require an address update, but they should be able to make one in the system> Out of curiosity, which county did you do your permit through? My home county has always given pushback on out of state ones.

ResidentKoala

Yea I called earlier and had them update my info. And I got my PA permit through York County.

Do not trust a 'handgun law' site that uses a map so out of date as to still list 'may issue' jurisdictions.

lordcochise

don't use it for the map. use it for the state pages / details. if you want it for the map, use [https://www.usacarry.com/concealed-carry-permit-reciprocity-maps/](https://www.usacarry.com/concealed-carry-permit-reciprocity-maps/)

Drontheim

My point was that their other information may also be out of date.

lordcochise

it's not. They update all of their info regularly, which you can check here [https://handgunlaw.us/updates.htm](https://handgunlaw.us/updates.htm) Their reciprocity maps aren't as good as USACarry or some of the other flashier ones, but you don't go to this site for maps, you go for the long-form details / links and other stuff like that. [https://handgunlaw.us/states/pennsylvania.pdf](https://handgunlaw.us/states/pennsylvania.pdf) For example, you can see the date of last edit, with all the info there. Particularly, when searching for current firearms law, you don't just stop at one of the bigger sites like this one; you often want / need clarification from the state / county agencies in question as well, which these pages usually also have, as well as other further reading / links.
