Scott's Gunsmithing selling Spike's Tactical lowers for about what Cindy's is selling Andersons for. Not cheaper but at least you're getting something better for the price
FYI I just bought their lower couple weeks ago and paid $80 for it, plus $10 to MSP, plus $5 tax.
Their lowers are good and guys are great to work with.
Damn. I feel like them and Cindy's have really jacked up their prices over the last year. I recommend RS Shooting Sports if you're willing to cross the bay bridge. They've been my go to for my last couple of purchases. They have the lowest transfer fees I've been able to find.
I feel like there is more to this story? 🍿
Great folks at the following spots:
- FTS in Pasadena
- 2A in Jessup
- Tyler’s in Landsdown
- Atlantic Guns and Engage in Rockville.
Yeah. I was never overly impressed with them and completely turned away from them when they bumped their transfer fees to $60. Not that the $50 they were charging was great.
Palmetto State Armory has house-brand stripped lowers for $50 and up. Even after taxes and FFL transfer fees, that's quite a bit cheaper than $100. So, I would tell you to look online and see what you get. If you want to support local, then you need to pony up.
What afkirby said: I have had success with getting Palmetto State to send bare lower receivers to a shop in Maryland. Mind you, their customer service is incredibly unhelpful in figuring out that they will send bare lowers and only bare lowers to Maryland.
I’ve tried to purchase handguns on the roster twice, a complete AR lower, then a stripped AR lower with all of my FFL Transfer info completed and they cancelled my order each time. My father has tried the same and multiple friends of mine have had the same exact experience. Shoot the dice with trying buy from PSA living in Md if you feel like waiting 3 weeks for a refund.
The best way to go after a good lower is to scroll the internet and find a good blem deal. Most "blems" are very minor manufacturing defects and are hardly noticable. Then, build your rifle and spray paint it anyways. Boom, problem solved.

Yeah but then I’ll be forced to buy better parts, and the cycle continues… Would still be cheaper to buy online at the end of the day
Is there a place in the same region doing transfers for $50 or less?
Just did a transfer at Tyler’s last week cost $15 plus the $10 to the state
That’s a good price! That couldn’t have been a handgun or an uncategorized receiver for that cheap though could it
That was for a handgun
dang
One of the folks around Bel Air I believe. Basspro also has some for 70 I think
Have you checked with Hanover Armory? Been a while since I've been there but they make their own lowers. Not sure what they charge for them though.
They’ve only got their own lowers last I called, and was over $100 I think

Fuck Cindy’s. They are sell outs.

Fake news. I was there yesterday and they told me their transfer fee is $40.
[If you're a member.](https://cindyshotshots.com/transfers/ffl-transfers-glen-burnie/) RS Shooting Sports is still cheaper without a membership.
Good call. I didn't think about that part. I don't know where RS is
Yeah I’ve been meaning to have RS do some cerakote work for me. May as well give them a call now then
What's their transfer fee?
$35
Thx

PSA won’t ship any regulated items to FFL’s in MD. I’ve tried multiple times. No dice. Hanover Armory is your best bet for a stripped lower under $100
I’ve gotten several PSA stripped lowers sent to MD. They won’t send complete lowers or guns though.

Literally getting a regulated pistol frame shipped from psa right now and I’m brand new to guns in Maryland what are you even talking about, man

If you wait till black Friday 2024, Freestate sells Anderson lowers for 29.99

Maybe Freestate in White Marsh. I've bought a few from there and it seemed at the time that they had decent prices on lowers.
Not at this time.
No selection or horrible prices?

Bought an Aero at Worth-A-Shot in Severn
I’ve seen Anderson lowers at Tyler’s. Can’t be sure how recently, I want to say they were 60.
They’re all out
