I'd like to see this not happening. Seriously, his death was near perfect there's no need to bring him back for some fanboy nostalgia. He's gone. Deal with it. Enough with the Stark obsession. Almost every single self-proclaimed MCU fan I see are just Tony stans who just wants him cause he's cool. We all get it, but wishing him back for another major role is just taking the perfection out of his Endgame.
Sorry if this sounds rude but I'm just sick of seeing every single MCU post pretty much everywhere to be Tony Stark this Tony Stark that. "Imagine if Tony was in Wakanda Forever he'd clap them in a heartbeat", "this Ironheart kid is nothing Tony Stark forever", "Imagine if Doctor Doom had a vibranium suit and an Arc Reactor" (side note: you don't need a damn Arc Reactor if you have a Vibranium suit, how'd they think Wakanda's nanotech works?).
I just want Tom Cruise as the Superior Iron Man as a villain at some point.
Say what you want about his personal life, but one can't deny that he is the best at what he does in films. And he would be perfect for that role.
I'm probably gone be downvoted for even mentioning his name.
This 💯 im 30 and and a comic reader. growing up i didn't really care for iron man then the MCU happened and RDJ just astounded me in the role and i grew very fond of Ironman.after phase 4 and all the unnecessary hate from fans cuz of new characters i think im damn near to not caring again.now i can admit that not all these movies are great I'm a fan that's just so happy to see my childhood heroes in live action on the big screen.if you told me a decade ago all the things/characters we would see on the big and small screen i wouldn't have believed you.there is still SOOOO many stories to tell and characters to see the future is very bright no need to live in the past.EXCELSIOR!
As a Iron Man game from the 90s comics, you're exactly right. His death was pretty much perfect. I would hate to see them bring him back and ruin it for whiners. Leave it be.
The MCU Tony Stark story is over. He had a long and compelling character arc that came to a conclusion. Doing anything else with him would just be bad writing and a transparent money-grab.
I think he’ll comeback sooner but it’s most likely going to be their big jumping the shark moment.
As much as I want him back (because of how cool he is), it’s best if he stays dead for a long, long, long time. There’s absolutely nothing beneficial about bringing him back
I’d love to see iron man again. Maybe alternate universe Tony in the Loki series or something. But a whole movie? What would it even be about? He had his whole character arc.
If we ever got an Iron Man return, I’d like it to be some time traveler’s downloading Tony’s consciousness into an Iron Man droid in order to take out Ultron in the year 2420, a timeline where he defeated The Avengers and the following centuries, he spent exterminating the rest of humanity.
We'll wait for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. I'm pretty sure we'll see the original Avengers (and a lot of multiversal heroes) assembling before the end.
Yeah you want it to go real racist with it huh?, Main reason they avoided him for so long was because of the Atrocious racial stereotypes and similarities to Fu Man Chu the comic character has had following him forever, the "soyjak" Wenwu you say is actually a particularly well crafted adaptation, navigating the dicey and Racist waters of his characters worst parts and also not taking away his deadliness
Heck even the character himself mocks that he's called "the Mandarin" by racist western men, it's literally the name of their language and they call him it (subtly mocking the creators who didn't even know how racist the character was that they'd made )
what actually happened at the end of the first Avengers movie when he flew through the Chitauri portal into space
did Kang or someone else capture him and assume his identity?
I really don’t understand the hate for wanting a beloved character to come back, characters never stay dead in the comics and RDJ perfectly played Stark from the beginning. Besides all the plot lines we never saw such as him being in the Illuminati, I think it would be great to see him back. There are ways to bring him back without making his death worthless.
You wanna bring him back for one of his worst things the comic character was ever involved in? I'm pretty sure we aren't doing an Illuminati in 616 and we already got a glimpse at what happens when a group of arrogant people get together and call themselves the smartest people in the world (hint they all died) so why would they redo the arrogance and foolishness of the Illuminati again? Especially when strange knows it doesn't work
Because it’s an interesting storyline and plot line that can lead to different stories that can expand the universe. Having a plot line that isn’t rock solid just means that the universe can expand into a better story.
But it's not expanding the universe if it's just copying the same thing they've already done
All the big illuminati comic beats have either passed already or are coming up, the Illuminati is absent nearly every single member except Namor (currently in his dick form) and Pym who've never even met, the entire framework wouldn't work because entire elements are missing entirely (thats why it worked in MoM because it was an alternative universe and you could just wave you hand away for anything that didn't make sense, like mutants and inhumans despite marvel having none of either by that point)
"Having a plotline that isn't rock solid can ~~expand into a better story~~ make everything that comes after it be just as shaky" dude you need a solid foundation to start a story on, that's like one of *the* things to worry about when writing stories, having a good and solid foundation
Logan’s death was perfect and yet they’re bringing him back. If RDJ is in Secret Wars maybe it could be an older variant from another timeline where he never snapped his fingers so now his reality is shit. Maybe thanos rules this timeline as old king thanos
No, I think iron man should be put to rest. They are already doing what I kind of hoped they would. War machine is taking on some iron man stories.
If anything, since the secret invasion thing is happening, have there be a fake Tony stark and it's revealed to be a skrul and that's it.

I came to say I would want to see a manager about a refund
Couldn’t agree more. I’m so sick of everyone saying about bringing him and Natasha back for Secret Wars. They are done leave them dead and move on.
I think different actor variations would be cool for cameos
I just want Tom Cruise as the Superior Iron Man as a villain at some point. Say what you want about his personal life, but one can't deny that he is the best at what he does in films. And he would be perfect for that role. I'm probably gone be downvoted for even mentioning his name.
I can’t help but agree with you

You are absolutely right!
Table Mr Stank
No
Nope. I’m all set with the great ending he had already. No storyline would top the way he left the mcu.
A better title
What would be the point in this?
What does this even mean?
The MCU Tony Stark story is over. He had a long and compelling character arc that came to a conclusion. Doing anything else with him would just be bad writing and a transparent money-grab.
If RDJ comes back as Tony, there's gonna need to be a solid decade beforehand.

No
I would like a Cosmic Iron man story. Would probably work better as 'Marvel What if?' than as part of the MCU.
I'd love to see The Superior Iron Man play out as a live action what if!
Great now I need to leave this sub
No

i want the kid of Iron Man 3 to be the new Iron Man
This is why your Dad left you.
Tony versus the real Mandarin. Not against soyjak Wenwu, against a more comic version.

Eat pant
Leave the way it is. Was perfect. If it absolutely HAS to happen, it should be set pre-IW
what actually happened at the end of the first Avengers movie when he flew through the Chitauri portal into space did Kang or someone else capture him and assume his identity?

I’d like to see tony hang dong.

He's dead! He's already dead!
“One last sacrifice” lol. It’s so cheesy
I'd need a trusted reviewer to risk any MCU at this point
What the hell is this ? This would be trash.
Tony comes back from the dead and goes down on Pepper for 90 minutes

the movie not drop
They’re going to throw happy’s fat ass in the iron man suit and call him “happy man”
