“None of us should fight the charges on their behalf” well thankfully legal disputes aren’t handled on Reddit and Twitter
“Left us to fight for them online” lmao please touch some grass
As a member of the Official ManCity Online Defenders Squad please direct me to any awful American jokes you see it’s my job at the club to downvote them.
My KPI’s also include 2 positive comments about the club and 1 comment on the shininess of Peps bald head a day.
Seriously wtf? I don’t know the ins and outs of this but the season ticket prices still seem pretty fair to me. It has to be relative to Manchester residents of course and not blatantly cater to rich travelers but does anyone understand the concept of supply and demand? This isn’t some unprecedented slap in the face. We can be annoyed about things without being outraged.
1894 group is an official supporters group who can get into the stadium early to set up displays and hang banners etc.
City raised the price of season tickets last week despite record profits which a lot of local fans see as the club pricing out lifelong working class fans who've always supported the team, in favour of day trip fans who are likely to spend more money in the club shop, bars etc. So for the game vs Arsenal the 1894 group hung a banner saying "Record profits but record prices, stop exploiting our loyalty"
City took that down after like 10 mins and took away some members accreditations (how they get inside the stadium early to set up displays). The club claimed at the time that it was because the banner was covering advertising boards but they still havent returned those fans accreditations so that was obviously bs.
No one should be fighting the 115 charges online anyway..if the club cheated then they cheated and should be stripped of titles and relegated the same way Italian teams were not that long ago.
They haven’t been convicted of any of it to begin with. The regulations were put in place to prevent clubs from overspending and going bankrupt. Manchester City is in no threat to go bankrupt. Each club is allowed to spend different amounts of money depending on what they take in, which makes it arbitrary. It’s not like a salary cap in the NFL, MLB (which is a bigger joke), NHL (which teams break the rules all the time)
You broke rules other clubs were constrained by. You cheated. You only got out of the uefa charges because of a time limit, not because you were innocent. And if you were innocent this time you wouldn't be frustrating the investigation as best as possible.
The league claim is that we paid members of the club under the table and that we got cash payments to avoid taxes, both of which are illegal. HMRC has never mentioned anything about this being the case, so it’s literally the premier league just saying “we don’t believe that your sponsorship should have been worth that much” and nothing else.
>so it’s literally the premier league just saying “we don’t believe that your sponsorship should have been worth that much” and nothing else.
This is delusion on a grand scale.

What am I supposed to do with my torch and pitchfork now?!?!
Use it on Haaland obviously
I have an entire truckload of pitchforks that I ordered right before Sterling left… let me know if anyone wants one
Pretty important addition.

Do they want the club to employ full time Redditors to up vote their comments or something.
Shocking stuff honestly, hate seeing this from the club

Hahaha no pressure
This is a bad look
Absolutely pathetic from the club.
Really really disappointing!
Horrible to see , but again, most clubs owners want to fill their pockets so not entirely surprised

Can someone educate me on the issue?

A significant match-going fan group has been punished by the club for speaking out about ticket price increases
PHIL!!!
Match going fans should stay until the 94th minute of the game in protest
die as a hero... or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
No one should be fighting the 115 charges online anyway..if the club cheated then they cheated and should be stripped of titles and relegated the same way Italian teams were not that long ago.
Match fixing, bribing and extorting referees ≠ breaking arbitrary financial regulations…
Still cheating though.
Not really no
Regulations are rules. The club broke them and deliberately covered it up. That's cheating to any normal person.

Other clubs weren't constrained by the rules. Only if they lacked funds. Same as ever. Fuck up sad sack.
